  1. If I could revise history, I’d have the P12, MWC, ACC, and Big 12 combine to be one super conference from coast to coast.
  2. First, a preface: This is not a defense of Mari Cristbal. That said, Miami is perhaps the worst place to have a team of any kind. I remember when the Miami Heat was in the NBA finals all the time with LeBron James' super team with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. I tuned into some of the games during the playoffs/Finals and was shocked by how many empty seats the Heat had during home games. Terrible fans there . . . and yes, that's a general statement I'm applying to the entire area :)
  3. Surprised that Lanning still refuses to let Davidson and Hill run the show as lead backs for this team. They are so good.
  4. My favorite Mari Cristbal post-game face:
  5. My most recent memory of Beck at Georgia was as both the arsonist and firefighter. He seemed to start every game with 1 to 2 INTs, dig a hole for the team, then play hero in the second half and bring them back; sometimes winning sometimes losing. Was wondering when his INTs would show up again. Glad they did tonight.
  6. Don’t jinx this y’all. Let’s speak this Miami loss into existence by believing in Mari Cristbal.
  7. Agreed, it's not been good Quick clarification on the stats below: "Off. Points per Game" is points scored by offense in regulation (i.e., no D/ST/OT points) Offense including non-conference games: Offense conference games only:
  8. Getting to 70,000 would be awesome, but is that even feasible or wanted in Eugene? Parking for 10k more? Would 10k more come from PDX to watch? Would prices go up or down?
  9. Colin Cowherd now considers the Ducks a "Blue Blood" program . . . for what it's worth. Nice to hear a prominent national voice, who LOVES his blue blood programs, talk up the Ducks.
  10. I agree with the general premise of this, but I think he'd be ok with 2 of the 4 teams you mentioned he should avoid. Go to a team that has an offensive minded head coach: Bears and Browns. Avoid the teams with defensive head coaches: Jets and Raiders. The Raiders are a team that would be awesome to resurrect from the ashes. Great brand and history (80's / 90's / early 2000's). If only the Raiders could get an offensive genius HC.
  11. I really like the black uniforms . . . but I like them most for night games, not mid-day games.
  12. As it stands now, best coach in Oregon history is Chip Kelly. Once Lanning makes it to a CFP Championship, then I'll anoint him. Also waiting to see the Ducks' defense become consistently dominate. If he neutralizes Indiana's offense, that will go a long way to proving it.
  13. Great article, and one that I completely agree with. I think the best evidence for why Hill / Davison should be the primary RBs is because we as fans can all see it. Really fun to watch.
  14. How embarrassing and shame on PSU. Not only does it make them look pathetic, to some extent, it removes much of the luster of Oregon’s win over them. Strength of schedule is more important this year to rankings, and PSU not beating the 0-4 worst team in the B1G is frustrating.
  15. Surprised: Dante Moore's ice cold demeanor. Indiana preparation: Get ready for a much more dynamic offense More sacks or QB pressures Running Back rotation: RB1 - Hill, RB2 - Davison, RB3 - Whittington
  16. Dan Lanning is a once in a generational hire/coach, and Oregon nailed it.
  17. I agree with much of this. Great post. Can you explain more about the Lupoi switch from 3-4 to 4-2? Was that a good or bad thing. I'm not an x's/o's person, so not sure of the implications, though it did seem that PSU's offense found some breathing room later in the game. Re: Franklin, I agree that the fanbase is more upset than they should be. PSU is always good and, if they get the right players and QB, they can be great. Hard to ask for more than that. If you're in contention every year, one of those years will work out.
  18. After Dante Moore, my favorite player on the offense is Harkey. And re: his penalty, that was the poorest excuse for a call. The PSU player hits him in the face, and in retaliation Harkey uses the trip kick from our days in elementary school, hahahaha.
  19. So much more to say, but I’ll leave it at this: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Dierre Hill is HIM.
  20. Not in love with the uniform. Glow in the dark? When will the lights go out?
  21. Because no swag or colors are better than the green, yellow, black, white, cookies and cream, orange, silver, etc. of THE Oregon Ducks :)
  22. For what it's worth, here's how Oregon's offense this year stacks up with prior years' stats from non-conference opponents only. Fun to see the patterns. The two darkest green rows in points-per-game are the two years the Ducks went to the national championship game.
  23. I understand the transfer portal side a little more. For example, it would make complete sense to me if Austin Novosad decided he'd been loyal long enough to the Ducks and decided he actually wanted to play QB, and entered the portal. What I have trouble with are high schoolers that haven't even practiced/suited up for the job that, after committing to a school, say they're going to keep checking other places. I have no problem with the fact they're high schoolers making the first major decision in their life, but finish the decision making process before committing. If I'm not mistaken, both of the recruits on "flip watch" (Tank and Iheanacho) took valuable air time on The Pat McAfee Show to tell the world where they committed . . . to then immediately go on other school visits. My recommendation is get all those other visits out of the way first, then commit.
  24. I know this is par for the course in our new Transfer Portal / NIL world, but I still don't have to like it. It's like two people getting engaged and one of them saying, "I'm committed to you, but I'm going to check out 'Name', 'Name', and 'Name' over the next few weekends to see if they have anything to offer that might change my mind . . . But still, so excited. Love ya!!" Unfortunately, it makes recruiting not worth following. I'll tune in at the end of signing day to see what happened, but don't bother me in the meantime. Oregon Ducks On SIOregon Ducks in Danger of Losing Five-Star Recruit to LSU...The Oregon Ducks are playing like arguably the best team in the country through the first three weeks of the college football season, as the program appears pri
