  1. I am a little worried. As many of you know there is plenty of history between Chip Kelly when he was with the Ducks and Tosh Lupoi when he was with Cal. Such as when lupois Cal Bears defense was getting boat raced and he had to fake injuries to slow down the Duck offense. How has Lupoi changed since then? Did his time at Alabama help him? What makes us think that things will be different?
  2. Agreed. Not good enough yet to be that loud. Reminds me of the guy who shows up for pick up basketball donning all the latest gear in bright colors and can’t hit the backboard. Stick with the “nightmare green”
  3. I appreciate any silver lining article at this point and that’s coming from a young “grey beard” who has sat through many beat downs of the Ducks at the hands of a superior opponent. But I must say that more and more I find myself resigned to the thought that, although Oregon can be a very good team, a national championship will be out of their reach. I feel the Chip Kelly revolution was their closest opportunity as it caught the blue bloods off guard. Now they have all caught up and surpassed the Ducks scheme advantage. Everything I have been reading about Dan Lanning I like and I’m looking forward to seeing where he takes the program. I even like most of the uniforms. But there is another side of me that wonders if all of the things that attracts some of these recruits with the flash and glitz of the uniforms and facilities also causes them to be soft and complacent after arrival. I will continue to root on my ducks as I have for the past 50 years and I am hoping to be proved wrong with my pessimism of the Ducks ever winning a National championship. Thank you so much for the positive articles along the way!
  4. Nice link. Speed kills on Defense as well as offense. No doubt having the world class track facility to show recruits does not hurt.
  5. Hey MaiTai, it sounds like we need a governing body to direct things much like other successful organizations have used. They are certainly on the Broad Road these days.
  6. I have to say I agree. Time to go. I will miss the recruits you brought but much too frustrating to watch on game day with your inept coaching.
  7. Excellent break down. Thank you for making it so clear. I was just watching that play again last night and also noted how the running back stutter steps to allow his blockers to set that up and then hits the space exactly where he should go. Great patience and vision from a freshman running back.
  8. All I can say is-Damn Charles, spot on. The truth hurts. Please send that to Mullens and Cristobal.
  9. Has anybody noticed if any of the freshman RBs have gotten any touches?
  10. I think it’s just silly for these announcers to keep talking about The road to the playoff for the Ducks while Cal is giving them all they can handle.
  11. I swear watching this team with all this underperforming talent is worse than watching the good old days of the 0-0 tie in the toilet bowl against O S Ewe. I am about to give up. Sorry guys.
  12. Cristobal has recruited a Ferrari and entered it into a crash up derby.
  13. Just curious to the grousing‘s concerning the national championship game last night. I’m sure Charles will get to this, but I wanted to spit this taste out of my mouth. Mario Cristobal is a Nick Saban descendent, yet he seems unwilling to follow in Saban's footsteps concerning change. Survival means adaptability and obviously Saban has done that. Hiring Kiffin, then Sarkisian, being content occasionally to give up 30 or 40 points because he is going to score in 40 or 50. No wonder 4 of the top eight receivers coming out of high school this year signed with Alabama Saban was quoted in USA today this morning saying to the effect that the ball game has changed. Does Mario realize that? Will Cristobal see the light? I am hoping that he was sitting 6 feet apart from Morehead watching this game!
