And here's to many, many more pay back games against the little puppies. Santa: Hello Young man, tell me what you want for Christmas? Young man: For the Ducks to win a National Championship this season Santa: What a wonderful wish. I will see what I can do. What if I can't make that happen? Do you have another wish that might be easier to fulfill? Young man: That the huskies go 0-12 in 2022. Santa: Oh yes, much easier Go Ducks. 1-0 this week

This is NOT GOOD for Oregon in the Playoff Discussion
HappyToBeADuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The only thing that the Ducks control, in this entire process, is how well they prepare for Saturdays game. Quality preparation and focus leads to dominant execution. The only thing the PC controls is the confusion and contradictions it spews to get clicks and views. What they said last week about head to head doesn't apply to Michigan and Michigan State, I guess It's okay to look inept against LSU, who lost to UCLA as long as you are Alabama? Be undefeated behind one loss teams, Oklahoma? GEEEZ....... The only silver lining in this show is that our Ducks are in the mix, in the conversation and the puppies up north are not.(Lake may be out by this time next week, hope not) Go Ducks. Beat the Cougars. In the last 7 seasons they have been a brutal rival to beat down. But the Duck coaches and these talented players can get this victory 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 The rest will take care of itself..... I love being a Duck fan. -
Amen to that... DuckFan93 Go Ducks. Beat WSU. Go 1-0....

Vandownbytheriverduck, I looked up the definition of Washington Husky in the elitist dictionary and it said to see your post. Outstanding, eloquent presentation delivered with prowess. Thank you. It is so good to be a Duck....

I feel Duckdude is correct. Injuries happen every year. Toketeeman may be right about using poor technique.... just don't know. However this year it is magnified because so many big time, key players are suffering injuries.... In years past a 3 star or walk on was next man up. Now, with 3 solid recruiting classes by MC, the next man up has talent. And they play like it. Bassa is an example. Depth with talent has brought us to 8-1. It appears that this will be the case and story this year. Also, coaches have the replacements ready to play. Go Ducks.... 1-0 this week.

Darren, thank you for sharing a story that warmed my heart. Seriously, thank you. In true Husky fashion, you know superior, arrogant decision making, they will keep Lake. Oh happy days! Had dinner last night with some awesome friends who happen to be rabid Husky fans. Tattoos to prove it. To sum it up from their view point the Ducks were plain lucky that the puppies gave the game away. I excused myself to go to restroom as not to laugh out loud, in their faces. Upon my return, my response was that I must have missed how the puppies gave the game away (they hate it when I call them puppies). Vowing to rewatch the game to witness how lucky the Ducks were. Gosh I love rivalry week over an opponent who can't play like a rival. (15 out of 17). At no moment did my friends contemplate that Lake may have lost the team, lost the players on his decision to punt. Total surrender... Keep up the good work puppies.... The Ducks have a game this week with a team my friends called a joke. Actual on field results mean nothing, I guess. The Cougs will come to play which is more than the puppies did. Lucky my behind... Go Ducks. 1-0 this week.

Don't know if anyone on this awesome site (thanks Charles, writers and commentators ) watched the Oklahoma-Kansas game the previous Saturday. Kansas had that game but the refs called back, not one but two Kansas scores. The announcers could not find either penalty on replay. This was very late in the game. Referees are lacking in all conferences. It appears the Big 12 officials know how to protect their front runner Hmmmmmm.....

Darn Right: Bassa Named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week

Sorry Shawnski, Auto correct did its job. Must have good grammar. -
Darn Right: Bassa Named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week
HappyToBeADuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Shawn's, he is a surprise. We hear coaches speak of the next man up mentality. This young man is working on next star up. He has the quickness to get after the Cougars running backs sneaking out of the backfield. -
This puppy coach is on a very shot leash. Hopefully they keep Lake. Charles is right on. He will be the architect that drives them back to 0-12. He drives recruits to MC and the Ducks fold. Yes........

More Predictions for Oregon Moving WAY-ON-UP
HappyToBeADuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Bama, with no rushing game will have a difficult time beating Georgia. Bama may lose a game along the way. Such a sweet sound..... Hoping the Ducks finish at 2 or 3 and avoid the beast that is this year's Georgia team. If we gotta take a whooping let it be in the Natty. It's in Oregons best and worst interest if tOSU wins out. Nobody will jump tOSU and that buffers the Ducks. But do we want another match up with a team we beat? It's all moot if this roller coaster young team doesn't take care of the Cougs. Go Ducks. 1-0 this week. -
Confused you are so spot on and especially when you say: "But a legitimate #3 team would mop the floor with WSU. Just saying..." I never thought MSU was a legitimate #3 team. Purdue proved that point. WSU has that capability, too! This coaching staff and team came out of the bye week, changed. MC and his staff have game planned to exploit the other teams weaknesses. On both sides of the ball.... If it were not for a couple of ill-timed penalties the total annihilation of the puppies would have been complete. End result Ducks 1-0 Last week we destroyed Colorado. The Buffs scored against the 2nd, 3rd and walk-ons. Young Players who deserved playing time for their hard work. Ducks 1-0 Just like the puppies, the Bruins running game got handled. The game plan was to force DTR to beat us with his arm. Ducks 1-0 None of those teams had an answer for the Ducks offense. As usual, only the Duck players stopped the offense. Four things the players control: 1. Blocking out the media noise 2. Executing the game plan 3 Eliminate needless penalties 4. Focus on WSU, not Utah I am confident the Ducks can go1-0 this week. Boy this is fun. Have a great week Duck fans.....

MC is a jewel. He is driven and let's the team play speak for itself. Just ask the puppies. Coach was quiet and classy all week. But there he was, less than a minute to play, stuffing that ball in the end zone. Passion, passion and more passion And he has built a recruiting power house. MC is going to do it his way. His results speak volumes. He will not settle for anything less than National Champion. Hope we keep him long enough for his plan to come to fruition. Love it Coach.

Allstate Playoff Predictor: Oregon has NO CHANCE
HappyToBeADuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
From listening to MC, it was not in the game plan to pass the ball too much. If they had tried to pass more it may have lead to more interceptions They wanted to run, run and run. The conditions called for power football on the ground. Thankfully it worked out well Those untimely unforced errors may very well catch up to the Ducks. But based on the carnage yesterday, so glad to see the Ducks survived. -
In this day and age that kind of behavior is a big no no. When your Head Coaching career is on thin ice, definitely a no no. Perhaps what Husky football represents was on full display. It's all rear view mirror stuff now. Go Ducks. Beat the Cougars Go 1-0 this week. Let's be 2 games clear in the North with 2 to go.
-
IMHO the only thing right about Husky football is they lost to the Ducks..... Aa a football fan, that game was painful to watch. Not because of the slow start by the O and giving the puppies a very easy 9 points. Heck that's just how some games roll. The multiple reviews and too many 4 minute commercial breaks destroyed the rhythm and pleasure of the game. It built up like a pressure cooker. Imagine how the coaches felt? Pouring rain, buffering wind and a bitter rival. I think both HC's just vented. It's human nature. Good for both coaches. Love their passion. One Coach headed to a 3rd Championship and the other?
-
Nice list.... I think Oklahoma will jump Cincinnati. They had trouble, at home, all day with Tulsa It was not an impressive win against a non impressive opponent. And I agree that ND could jump the Michigan schools. But probably just Micigan State. They played awful and may get hammered by the PC.
-
Well the Ducks can be difficult to watch at times. But make no mistake, other than final score this was a butt kicking on the little puppies GODUCKS15 , thanks for those numbers. We really hammered them. Look at the stats. The Ducks controlled this game. The only answer the puppies had was what our offensive mistakes gave them. Even with those mistakes, both the turnover and penalties, the puppies had nothing. Nothing... Each game will get tougher. Important to minimize those mistakes. Because only the offense has stopped our offense. Sleep well fellow Duck fans. When this team goes 1-0 against the Cougars we will have a 2 game cushion in the North. Darn, what a ride.

Travis sure added to his legacy tonight....

Washington Game Score Prediction Contest
HappyToBeADuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ducks 21-13 3, 2, 192 -
I agree with Confused, give this youngster the ball. There is no experience like game experience. Our remaining games are all elimination games. Not just for a potential CFP invite but to win the North. No North, then hello Alamo or Holiday or whatever Glad we have these youngsters. Step up, hang on to the ball and beat them puppies.

Can Oregon Put Jimmy Lake on the Hot Seat?
HappyToBeADuck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
David, thank you for taking the time to write this article.. It gives me great comfort, as a fan, that MC, is keeping his eye on the ultimate prize: Beat Washington and go 1-0. It's all that matters this week. A loss to the puppies would put us in a conference tie with them. They would hold the tie breaker on the Ducks. That's a feeling I wish not to endure. Not interested in the Apple Cup deciding the North champ. No thanks. You gain very little in trying to best a fool. MC took the high road, very classy Go Ducks, beat the puppies and add another nail to the puppies head coaching career. Maybe this year the Cougars can finish the job. -
If Oregon Wins the Toss--Will Cristobal Take The Ball?
HappyToBeADuck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In my gut I feel MC will keep the throttle wide open. Run to set up the pass. Roll up the score. The only deterent might be the weather. This talented group has to hold on to the ball to control the game. Let it be the Duck D that takes advantage of the weather conditions. I have been to Husky Stadium for many Apple Cups going back to the mid seventies. Those games were at the end of November. However, miserable conditions are in the forecast. Go Ducks....
