  1. Cool! The new B1G map video (30 seconds) with Oregon in it!
  2. Interesting responses by athletes in the B1G when asked what they think of when they think of Oregon...
  3. This is a VERY cool two-minute video introducing Oregon to the B1G...
  4. Our Famous FishDuck Friend, Jon Joseph posted this in another thread, and pointed out how Oregon was tied for No. 1 with three teams above the Ducks based on the average per player at 3.79 each. This tied Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State although the Ducks had fewer overall recruits. This is recruiting in pretty elite company! Note here in the Transfer Rankings, that Dillon Gabriel was listed as a 4-Star, and isn't that understated? How can you NOT be a 5-Star when you have his stats, proven success and is a major Heisman Trophy Candidate? They had Safety Brandon Johnson from Duke as a 3-Star, and he was a two-time All-ACC player, and who many thought was the best athlete on their team. Not even a 4-Star? Finally they had Atticus Sappington the transfer kicker from Oregon State as a 2-Star? I understand that kickers are always downgraded, but this guy only missed ONE Field Goal last year for nearly a 93% FG percentage? My bottom line is that Oregon may actually have been No. 1 in the Comprehensive standings when you take these under-grades into account. And Lanning did this in his SECOND year is all? Happy Days are Coming! Calm Down Charles!
  5. I know I've written it several times, but when you have Dan Lanning and his staff recruiting--regardless of the challenges--they will get theirs. With great success on the field, I am confident that Dano can have us consistently in the top five in the recruiting rankings going forward. We miss some, and some flip, but we will be fine.
  6. What you see below was sent to Oregon, LSU, (who he verballed to) and Miami. As you recall, DJ Pickett is a Rivals 5-Star corner, and he is simply asking..."who will pay the most?" I am confident Oregon will lose this because again--we sell a total package, not just NIL. I've wondered about this, because if I was a player--there are so many great schools to go to. So if you have your three favorites and are happy going to any one of the three? Might as well make them bid the highest! The good news is that most players are not primarily about NIL, but some are.
  7. The thing I always forget about and realize later, is that, yes, the marketing tactic itself is usually fun and does a good job of promoting OBD. But it is EVERYBODY in the nation writing about the tactic is where things explode in terms of exposure and Brand Building, as these publicity events are something for the sportswriters across the US to create articles about. They are searching for topics always to write about, and this time of year is slim--thus we are being covered in all time zones!
  8. Now THAT is a great Oregon fan!
  9. Wow...everybody is saying it out loud!
  10. Something I really liked about the uniforms of old...was the white trim around the yellow letters, and great to see it is back after all these years!
  11. Either this is a prank photoshop, or he is being self-effacing. I think it is pretty funny...
  12. Yep, this is a tough schedule, but this is also an exceptional team to start the year. While I like the underdog role, and would also relish being SO GOOD that we are the hunted--and rise to that challenge each time. That is what champions do...and we want to be one! Something Lanning said that he brought from Georgia...."Pressure is a Privilege." Amen Our Duck-Brother!
  13. The quote from Gabriel and so many players and recruits about how Oregon is going for a 'Natty, NOW and in the future...gives me goose-bumps.
  14. That video in the X post of the Duck traveling is so much fun! This whole beginning of the season feels like...
  15. So the big inflatable Duck at the B1G meeting was "just the start?" And....“We’re going to keep showing up in mighty different ways in the coming months,” they said. “So stay tuned.” I love this! Portland-based ad agency says giant inflatable Oregon Duck was ‘just the start’ WWW.NEWSBREAK.COM Wieden+Kennedy created a giant inflatable Oregon Duck to showcase the University of Oregon's move to the Big Ten conference, and the duck was spotted floating down Indiana's...
  16. I love how a coach is thinking like that, but what really caught my eye was trick plays? Having some on-hand for the big games might be handy...
  17. A Lincoln TV station wrote about the unusual visit too... Puddle jumping: Oregon Duck mascot appears in Lincoln for Matt Rhule's press conference WWW.KETV.COM Yes, the Oregon Duck mascot was in Lincoln on Tuesday.
  18. I am writing this tongue-in-cheek of course, because it looks like the Oregon Brand is working to establish "The Duck" quickly among our new B1G brothers. First we saw the huge inflatable Duck at the B1G Media Meetings, and then we read how Dan Lanning stated,... "I'm hoping we get to travel that Duck to all of our away games this year." Lanning said. So Michigan fans could see it in the Huron River, but how would the Beavers handle it in the Willamette River? Or in Mary's River below the bridge that so many fans walk over going to games? Could there be more than one inflatable Duck? What do YOU think the reaction would be from the B1G fans? From Beavis fans? (Yes, they are not B1G, but it would be fun to irritate them!) Oregon Duck Mascot Surprises At Nebraska Cornhuskers Media Day, Shocks Big Ten Again WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Duck Mascot surprises the Big Ten Conference again! This time, the Duck decided to fly across the country to attend Nebraska Cornhuskers Media Day. L Above was in another thread...but it blew me away. This has never happened as "The Duck" showed up at the opening media day for Nebraska? It was stunning, but the media in Lincoln played along and had fun with it. This is over-the-top thinking that I just love, and what a great way to get opposing fans excited about coming to Autzen and filling our stadium! As was in the article that I agree with and love... "The Ducks have undoubtedly one of the most recognizable brands in college football and this move will definitely bring even more eyeballs to Oregon as it joins the Big Ten conference." I am just a fan who SO APPRECIATES the innovative minds at Oregon, and let's face it--it adds to the entertainment and interest! What did we all discuss about how Oregon is going to have MILLIONS more eyeballs watching them this fall? It is going to happen. This new B1G thing is so much fun already!
  19. Dan's youngest son is 11, so I think he will be here that long...
  20. I like that…a “Dan-Dynasty!” You gotta dream big!
  21. Oregon has shown they can pull off the flip, but I don't know about the Huskies...
