  1. 3-1 Ducks after seven innings as RJ Gordon has gone all seven innings, pitched 109 pitches, and held the Toreros to only one run? Whew! The inning before we had a sweet double play to finish off the sixth. Seven down, two more...
  2. Yes, I should clarify. I do not mind 9:30 AM games PST if it is because it is a huge featured away B1G game at 12:30 EST on Fox. Just not a home game...
  3. 3-1 Ducks! (After six innings) Omigosh! A suicide squeeze for a run!
  4. 0-0 after four innings. RJ Gordon has control of his fast-ball, but got some sweet breaking balls that started at elbow level with the batter, and then dipped to the knees on the backdoor of the plate. Whew!
  5. 0-0 after two innings. RJ Gordon is throwing up to 93 mph, but the opposing pitcher is throwing 96 mph with a nasty slide.
  6. Yep. It is always fun to give Beavis a kick...
  7. Wasn't it incredible that both Gabriel and Nix had precisely the same number of touchdowns and interceptions? I have not watched Gabriel games, so I do not have an opinion on his arm strength, but I was not impressed with the long-ball accuracy from any of the QBs in the Spring Game, nor was I with Nix. While they are low-percentage passes...I thought we would complete more Bird-Bombs with Nix than we did.
  8. The impact on his throwing velocity from a prior injury is the first I've heard of this, and the article below has some very interesting stats and thoughts about Gabriel versus Nix at Oregon. Why Dillon Gabriel can lead Big Ten title run for Oregon; James Franklin may face mounting pressure in 2024 - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Other Big Ten storylines include a new helmet for Illinois this season "For a group of delusional psychopaths, Ohio State fans are typically nice in person."
  9. Wow. Powerful words, and a painfully true observation. So glad we are now in the B1G...
  10. For more information about today's opponent... San Diego won the West Coast Conference this year and is 40-13. They won series 2-1 over Michigan, and Arizona, who won the Pac-12! They beat USC, who we went 2-2 with this season, and they split with UC Irvine, who was ranked No. 18 in the final poll. They are on a 10 game winning streak, so they will be a very tough out for Our Beloved Ducks.
  11. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Logan Mercado was elite out of the bullpen and Bryce Boettcher homered in the 11th inning as Oregon beat San Diego on Friday, 5-4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are tougher teams than you would think, and the article below is a good review of them. But still--it could be a ton worse as this is a regional that Oregon can WIN! Scouting reports for Oregon's opponents in the Santa Barbara Regional 247SPORTS.COM Here's what I see from Oregon's opponents ahead of the Santa Barbara Regional.
  12. Now THAT is wisdom for us all to accept. His words are true....
  13. Two of the top ten receivers, and two of the top ten offensive tackles? A ton of talent on that offense!
  14. Wow Jon, so much to ponder with your post. Meanwhile I am completely distracted by your Dean Wormer comparison.... (And I love it!)
  15. Oh come on..."SkoBuffs?" Have some originality...PLEASE! (As the late-great Bill Walton would say)
  16. "I do try to temper my joy though, it's not good to rejoice at others misfortune, but laughing, that's fine." Rejoice...laughing....
  17. I agree with this. In fact I believe the difference will be obvious before the first half ends of the Civil War this fall. I am REAL curious to see what Beaver Baseball players do, because thus far--each sport is moving to Mountain West quality, and the question is whether Baseball goes the same way.
