Washington vs. Rutgers: "Good-or-Good?"
We do not play Rutgers, and we do the Bastard-Huskies, thus Washington winning could help Oregon's ranking at the end of the season. But Washington losing is never a bad thing either.... For Oregon Fans, it is Good-or-Good! Who do you want to win and why?

Join the Fun! OBD Prediction Contest of Oregon vs. UCLA
Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus UCLA? Take your shot, and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 52-17 3 4 282 We did well in Los Angeles last time... I LOVE this picture from FishDuck.com Photographer Tom Corno... ...such vivid background color, and a cool sack coming!

Report (9:00 PM, Wed): UNLV and Air Force Staying in Mt. West
In the past, the Mountain West has actually done pretty well in the NCAA Tournament between San Diego State and Utah State, thus the Scrap-12 might be a little stronger Basketball conference? It does put the OSU Baseball team in a tough spot, because only Beavis, the Cougs, SDST and Fresno State have a Baseball team...not enough for a real league schedule. They would be better served to be a part of the Big-West conference for Baseball, IMHO.

Elite Recruiting Mountain Too High for Ducks’ Lanning?
This is another offsetting component in our favor, and it is a B1G one. Yet when you do not have a single 4 or 5-Star in-state, and I consider all the talent in the south that the biggies hardly have to travel for....it is really a tall barrier. Again, the success is remarkable considering that handicap. But the question is whether we can break into the "elite" recruiting status, and that is yet to be seen, IMHO.

Elite Recruiting Mountain Too High for Ducks’ Lanning?
Agreed. There are years where you need a ton of new talent, and thus sign more players and get more in the rankings as a result. But when you need fewer, and get super-high quality that fits your objectives--you are not as rewarded in the rankings. BTW, the 4.13 average recruit ranking is No. 1 in the nation at the moment. Ahead of Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, etc.

Report (9:00 PM, Wed): UNLV and Air Force Staying in Mt. West
Your summary was perfect, Now we can laugh about how pathetic the Scrap-2 have become, or mourn the incredibly rapid descent of the conference of champions. Lower than Mountain West? Whew! That did not take long!

Whoa! The Mountain West is Making a New Big Move...
I shouldn't be so harsh...I'm sure the smart people in Corvallis, and Pullman know exactly what they are doing.

Whoa! The Mountain West is Making a New Big Move...
The title was sarcasm, as the Mountain West is thinking, and playing in a different playground than we are. Perhaps they were making a move before the Scrap-12 tries to move in on those heavyweights? (Toledo was always on my list)

Don't You Just Love How Beavis Is Spending the Pac Bag?
They will looked at as not just G-5, but G-5 idiots. (Maybe that is why they are G-5?)

Don't You Just Love How Beavis Is Spending the Pac Bag?
They wanted to call attention to themselves for the tough spot they are in, and what they are trying to build. They got everyone's attention all right....

QUAAACK, Oregon Flips OT Douglas Utu From Tennesse
This is one of the very rare instances where Rivals rates a player a 5-Star, when the others put him at 4-Star. To make matters more interesting...he is on the offensive line where we need the quality help! We know that besides Oregon and Tennessee--that this young man was also offered by Washington, (Ha!) USC, Penn State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Miami and Ohio State. Whew! Et Tu Pac 12, Mountain West Set to Use "Your" Exit Fees as Signing Bonuses
I should feel disgusted with the glee, and enjoyment I am getting from this. It is a good thing I never said I was noble… Fantastic entertainment during the bye week! Their own stolen money being used against them? You can’t make this stuff up!

This is too funny; rejected by Air Force? The sports world is laughing, and the Pig-2 know it!

Pig-2 Getting Receipts, and NOT Liking Reality...
I'd bet that the last two the Scrap-12 goes after is Nevada, to make a UNLV move easier, or if they can move them without the Wolfpack, then San Jose State and they will cite the Silicon Valley audience. (Right!)

This is Serious: We Need an Updated Name for the Pac-12...Can You Help?
I will admit that I am getting to that point as well, and that is saying something! They are a G-5 team, and there is no amount of lipstick that will change that. We know it, and everyone knows it; let them pretend--who cares? But we should not lose money any further playing them in Corvallis, let alone Eugene. The originally scheduled game against Texas Tech would have pulled a TON more eyes to Oregon's game that week.
