  1. Somebody wrote here that he is buying the former mansion of Mark Helfrich of which is pretty big....probably a while before it closes and they move out?
  2. I know many were asking this and John Canzano found out! (I do believe this is an "interim" home until they move into another....) The team gathering was charming. It appeared to feature food, card games and some backyard corn hole. Lanning’s wife and children were present. The scene was really cool and unifying. It also sparked a tangential discussion in our home given what we’ve learned about celebrity homes in the last couple of years — how many bathrooms do the Lannings have? Mario Cristobal and his wife, Jessica, recently closed on a 8,829-square-foot estate in Coral Gables. Purchase price: $7.9 million. The new home of the Miami football coach includes six bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. Russell and Ciara Wilson purchased a home in suburban Denver last month for $25 million. It has 20,060 square feet, four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Lincoln Riley’s new $17.2 million home in Palos Verdes sits on 3.17 acres and includes seven bedrooms and also has 12 bathrooms. I don’t mean to focus so heavily on the number of bathrooms here, but I grew up with three siblings (including two sisters) and we shared a single bathroom. A dozen bathrooms feels like a modern-day homeowner flex. When former Oregon coach Chip Kelly arrived in Eugene in 2007 as offensive coordinator, he bought a 2,500-square foot home for $525,000. After a promotion to head coach, Kelly sold that house at a $100,000 loss and went bigger — buying and quickly renovating a 6,281-square foot home in Northeast Eugene. Kelly’s new place in Eugene included six bedrooms, five bathrooms and an indoor meeting space where he could gather as many as 80 players for a sit down. I always thought that meeting-space area was brilliant and the most Chip Kelly-thing ever. Incidentally, when Kelly took the job as football coach at UCLA, he bought a home in Encino, Calif. that had 10 bathrooms and nine bedrooms. Then, Kelly sold the home to Dodgers’ outfielder Mookie Betts for $7.6 million. Kelly told me last summer that he and his wife, Jill, moved closer to the beach and he pointed out “I’m the least famous person in my neighborhood.” I reached out to Lanning on Thursday via text message. That backyard BBQ scene from his new home looked like rich and connective team building. It casts the entire Lanning family as approachable and down to earth. Still, I wondered, how many bathrooms does the new estate have? 6? 10? 12? Lanning humored me. “LOL… 2.5 bathrooms!!!” So now you know.
  3. Fantastic news for Oregon fans--thanks for posting it!
  4. That is ME to a "T." I, so, WANT TO BELIEVE! Such a cool screenshot off an episode....
  5. I don't think he will change at all, I mean why would he? He has been positively reinforced for what he did at Oregon to the tune of 8 million a year. He is smarter than everyone else, and he has the checks to prove it!
  6. 80 plays is not a “must” for me either, but with all the talk from the two coaches—I would hope high scoring returns again.
  7. Placing USC ahead of Oregon just makes me ill. Didn't see that coming! Four opponents on our schedule is in his top 25...
  8. I agree with you and would assert he did not trust his assistant coaches either. I do not believe we saw the "real" Joe Moorhead or Tim DeRuyter...not when their track records were so much better than what we saw.
  9. OK, there is an assumption in your post that they WILL carry out the offense as we anticipate--due to what they have said. It is just that...there are lots of things they could say later as to "why" they did not carry it out, both real and imagined. I hope they stick to the impression they have given us...
  10. Thanks! I always wonder if people notice some of the extra work I go through on an article, as I found myself saying over-and-over..."I want to believe," and realized it came from X-Files. Then it took a LONG time to find the right photo that was not copyrighted and available for an article. For the forum--we can bring in any photo, but for a published article--much more difficult.
  11. He is very skillful at duping the alumni, and I should know. The phrase, "I Want to Believe" applies to 'Cane fans and to some Oregon fans....and more will be revealed in Friday's article on FishDuck written by you-know-who about what to believe from coaches. It might ruffle some Duck feathers, but the good news is I cannot be fired or "cancelled" by anyone who disagrees since I have my own sites. But it needs to be said...
  12. Good gosh...where have YOU been? What a great first post! You gave your opinion respectfully, and backed up with researched facts. Please post often, and WELCOME to this community!
  13. EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced today the signing of transfer Keeshawn Barthelemy, a 6-2 guard from the University of Colorado. Barthelemy spent the last two years with Colorado and started 28 of 33 games for the Buffaloes last season, averaging 11.1 points (.420 FG%, .826 FT%), 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. His 82.6 percent free throw percentage ranked fifth in the Pac-12, making 76-of-92 attempts on the year. Barthelemy reached double figures in 18 games and notched 19 points, five assists and four rebounds in the Jan. 25 game at Oregon, his highest scoring outing in conference play. “Keeshawn will add valuable Pac-12 experience to our backcourt, and we are really excited to add him to the team,” said Altman. “He has shown tremendous improvement in his first two seasons, and we expect him have a real impact on the team.” From Montreal, Quebec, Barthelemy represented Team Canada in the U17 FIBA World Cup, helping the team to a fourth-place finish. A graduate of Thornlea Secondary School in Toronto, Barthelemy and new teammate Quincy Guerrier were AAU teammates at Brookwood Elite in Montreal.
  14. Good gosh...this writer's attitude is that we are to genuflect to the Trojans....before they have done anything!
  15. His job is to get clicks and discussion, and he is doing that well. Actually, there are repercussions when all of us notice his errors and call it out. People notice…
  16. More evidence of the beginning of the return of sanity. It will never go back, and change is occurring, but at least the work to put a lid on the craziness has begun. Stepping back from the cliff!
  17. DJ Johnson might end up there considering the value the NFL places on pass rushers!
  18. Yes, we have arrived at the edge of the cliff, looked down and stepped back. Now we are beginning to ask..."how do we cross this or get around it?"
  19. Perhaps this marks the beginning of sanity returning? Good that the Pac-12/Alliance is there with representation....and some very BIG sentences in that short article. Whew! SEC, Pac-12 commissioners to visit Washington in pursuit of help with NIL policies WWW.ESPN.COM SEC commissioner Greg Sankey and Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff will meet with U.S. senators on Thursday to ask for legislative help surrounding name, image and likeness policies.
  20. The financial potential of those schools is just enormous, thus the price of West Coast recruits just went up! For some, it will rain money....
  21. Agreed. I got the account only because of some gift cards given to me and the bet paid off. Never had any of these accounts before, and don't anymore!
  22. My FishDuck Friends, I know this will not last forever, and yes--it is the off season, but our numbers of deleted posts in April was an All-Time new record... ...for the least amount, percentage wise among posts. I thought half of 1% was good, and in the first quarter we had only 1/4th of 1% posts deleted--but the month of April only had 1/8th of 1% posts deleted! One was a drive-by Troll, and the other three were regulars who just mess-up once in a while like we all do. We acknowledge the mistake, remind them of the rules and forget about it. (Unless it continues and it almost never does) What a community. I love this group! It is so different than anywhere else and I appreciate it. Different? Seems normal to us!
  23. Amen, Ute-Brother. I am torn, as I don't want to play you twice next year, but would love to see you take the south.
  24. I have to admit that the “ingredients” that he lists are true, and are very impressive. But I get back to what I have been stating many times, and that is the more they are hyped, the bigger the victory when we beat them! There is no dishonor in losing to a great team, and there is extreme pride and deserved laurels when you beat a great team. That is my spin, and I am sticking to it!
  25. Joshua, your explanation of the Bill Conerly stat about the success of teams winning more with explosion plays, is not something I have seen anywhere. It is a fantastic, concise, easy to understand explanation as to why we need explosion plays not just for entertainment, but for a higher winning percentage. I don’t know which is more relevant to me, how you found and explained that statistic that backs up my lust for high scoring, or the fact that our current offensive coordinator and head coach “get-it!” Another superb article with great observations. My thanks!
