  1. “I’ve have time blocked out on my calendar for pondering. I’ve built blocks of time to read, view things, consider stuff. More often than not, that turns out to be some of my most valuable time of the day.” Sounds like he would fit in with this community just fine! Canzano: George Kliavkoff's first year on the job was a doozy of a win WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Commissioner officially hired last July 1.
  2. Was this skill refined because he was running for his life so often?
  3. Richard Young would be the equivalent of another Jonathan Stewart--big and fast. Come to Oregon!
  4. Oh that's right! Someone asked me in your forum if we had a thread about 2026 recruiting, as a measure of intensity of interest. I pooh-poohed it, but clearly...I was wrong, as it is a thing. You Georgia fans sure have been fun to have here with your thoughts--great people. (And yes...I will feel that way if you kick-our-butt, as I enjoy the Utah fans who kicked our butt this last year--twice)
  5. George is working on the Pac-12 Media rights deal already? Cool! Canzano: What I learned over the weekend... about the Pac-12 and more WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Monday musings...
  6. These baby-steps are the beginning of solutions, and a rescue ultimately for college football. It will not be as bad as some have asserted... Lead 'em George!
  7. The rapid emergence of the sophomore receivers will make-or-break this offense, and in turn the team IMHO. If they gain separation and Nix hits them--it opens things up for the tight ends and the running game.
  8. Actually Oregon did that for the baby son of a Duck quarterback, John Harrington, and Joey was worth the wait!
  9. OK...you have to admit this is funny...
  10. We have a backup occurring on a regular basis, as I don't want to lose any articles. It is funny that the two countries trying the most to break into my sites are Communist China, and Ukraine! Smart IT guys over there! You gotta stay diligent...
  11. Humorous to you perhaps, but you don't have to pay for the software and web development expertise to keep these bastards out, and from ruining the free site we all enjoy.
  12. My mistake...if he is going to be a HS freshman this coming year...then that means we offered an EIGHTH GRADER? Okay! I am easily surprised...
  13. I read the first sentence and my involuntary impulses to laugh begin...before I've read anything else. And you did not disappoint..."most remarkable geologic feature is a pool table at a tavern in Keokuk."
  14. This is the first 48 countries listed that came to FishDuck.com during the month of January of this year. Obviously with the forum--it would be most of the same countries, and I thought it was interesting to see on slow off-season day. I am not thrilled to see Communist China as No. 2, because that means the site is getting a lot of attempts at penetration and attacks.
  15. Yep, but it makes great discussion in the long off-season!
  16. I think Troy Franklin will alter that analysis this year...
  17. This receiver/tight end analysis is going to Be WRONG, WRONG, WRONG......right?
  18. Remember the player will be a junior in high school when he signs in February of 2026, or December of 2025. So doesn't that make him a seventh grader now? I've heard of building relationships for years, but...
  19. Proctor has always been a long-shot, as it would be very hard to overcome the home-town Hawkeyes in Iowa. Reading the prior reports about him--I was surprised we were still in the running up to this date. I am not worried because with this staff.... We'll figure it out and get ours.
  20. Some good father stories from many coaches including Dan Lanning and Kelly Graves... Canzano: Fatherhood of the Pac-12 Conference WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM What did your dad do for you? I asked.
  21. About Marshall Malchow.... "Oregon AD Rob Mullens went out and hired a head coach who is one of the best recruiters in the nation, and now he went for the kill shot. Marshall Malchow is now a Duck, and he very easily could be the man to deliver the level of talent to Oregon that will ultimately bring a championship trophy back to Eugene at long last." Never had this before...
  22. Kind of like when Washington wanted to promote the "Northwest Cup?" How desperate can you get?
