  1. I was concerned about the recruiting fallout, but if this continues with other recruits--then it could be ideal. Get the message through to Cristobal without damaging his recruiting...
  2. Good call. Since this is not a political site, but an Oregon Sports site.
  3. I fear this too. "Oregon has never beat us...we have them in the 'Shoe....no prob." I feel that the UCLA game will be a bellwether indicator for the rest of the season.
  4. That one might be more accurate than we wish!
  5. I've used the OBD acronym often so I don't have to write it all out each time. But I see how it can cause confusion...
  6. What can I say? He's made a ton of bad decisions with the offense...and fans are seeing it. As Jon said...I do not want to see him fired, but to win in the Playoffs--we must be able to score more. Jon is correct in that we are not going after him on a personal basis, but on a football platform. Have you been on other forums? It is FAR WORSE, and nobody is protected. You are free to state your opinions here, and people have to be nice no matter what it is. That is not available anywhere else. I do have advice as there are many like you: --Basketball season starts soon, and we will be chatting that up. (I don't have a problem with Dana's or Kelly's offense!) --You will need to callous up, because this is going to get worse, I fear, with the remainder of the season. It will originate from the decisions MC has made, and the fans will be displeased, I believe. --If things turn around, then like previous years--it will be fun for all. But I am not in favor of promoting nothing but the positive...been-there-and-done-that years ago. --In the decade of FishDuck--I've had years where it was nothing but GREAT, and then years like 2016..and maybe now. We let the topics flow as people feel them; I only look at behaviors, that regardless of the year, we must be "Polite and Respectful" to each other. --Analysis article on Thursday! If you have been on this site for long, then you would remember several of my articles like this one where I stated all the areas I value Cristobal at, such as his leadership, his recruiting, his values, etc. I want him here at Oregon, only with a more potent offense. I put this in writing and still people forget... Or maybe we are not your cup-of-tea. I am not trying to please everyone, and I put a boatload of money and time into this forum--thus I will operate it as I believe is best for the majority of people. If it is not a fit--I understand, and the door is always open.
  7. Create a new verb? Just as teams "Coug-it" we see Oregon, "Cristobal-it" after a big win?
  8. You do need that on a team...what if Scott Frost had not held (arm-bar and used all his strength) back Blount from the Boise State crowd? Blount was blind with rage and was going to tear someone apart and was headed up into the stands.
  9. Rivals 3-Star, great speed...his profile is here, and the offer list is OK, but not real impressive. UCLA, USC, Cal, WSU, Oregon State, Utah, Arizona offered, so with Oregon it is eight of the Pac-12. But look at that list with the link above...??
  10. Interesting question--no idea, but I do recall Jimmy Rad on the sidelines at every game. Next to the coaches? I do not recall that...
  11. Mase Funa and Alex Forsyth are "full-go" for this Saturday. DJ James is an unknown at this point. Coach Moorhead is cleared to work in the Hatfield-Dowling Complex, and will be at the game in Pasadena on Saturday too.
  12. Others are starting to write it, and now another site is beginning to do Opinion-Editorial articles as we do on FishDuck? It's Time to Admit that the 2021 Oregon Ducks Might not be a Great Football Team by Zach Neel of Ducks Wire
  13. We posted the same within a minute of each other! Great minds...
  14. More coming...the Cougars have beaten Cal, Stanford and Oregon State...and their passing attack looks like it could outscore the other two North opponents! This is a Football post, so let's not go the political/COVID direction on this please.
  15. There are so many that post here that I certainly disagree with, but it is fun to trade thoughts without the attacks that happen elsewhere. Thank YOU for noting it, and please do post your thoughts often. Even if I disagree...no, better yet, ESPECIALLY if I disagree, as I need to see them. All those that disagree with me? Reading their thoughts helps me to buffer and moderate mine, and thus become a better fan. It is a virtuous discussion-circle and I sure enjoy it. Thanks again...
  16. I thought only Payton could drive to the basket and get the ball through the bigs, but Will has proven that wrong to me. Could be a BIG YEAR! (And I do not have any problems with Dana's offense!)
  17. Fewer words written in this forum are more true. If MC is torqued about a little booing....then do NOT go to LSU! (They are the WORST!) The nastiest insults hurled at me came from that fan base back in 2011...whew!
  18. A powerful set of statements and true. The fan base has been patient, and 3.5 years is long enough to see progress on offense. What we see on offense is entirely due to decisions Coach Cristobal has made. On defense? I think most of us recognize all the injuries and youth on that side of the ball.
  19. (Press Release from Oregon Athletics) SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior Will Richardson was one of 20 players nationally named to the 2022 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award watch list by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday. The Pac-12 preseason all-conference first team selection closed out conference play last season with four consecutive double-digit scoring outings, including a career-high 22 points at Oregon State. Richardson followed that up with 19 points (7-10 FG), seven assists and six rebounds in the win over Iowa in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Richardson has helped the Ducks to two Sweet Sixteen appearances and two consecutive Pac-12 conference championships. He enters the season with a chance to move into Oregon’s career top 10 lists in steals, assists, three-point field goal percentage and wins. Richardson’s former teammate Payton Pritchard became the first Oregon player to win the award when he was honored in 2020. Other previous winners include Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois (2021), Ja Morant, Murray State (2019), Jalen Brunson, Villanova (2018), Frank Mason III, Kansas (2017), Tyler Ulis, Kentucky (2016) and Delon Wright, Utah (2015). Bob Cousy played for Holy Cross from 1946-1950 winning an NCAA Championship in 1947. He was named a Consensus First-Team All-American in 1950. His success continued at the professional level as a six-time NBA Champion (1957, 1959-1963), NBA Most Valuable Player (1957) and 13-time NBA All-Star (1951-63). In 1996, he was named a member of the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. The winner of the 2022 Bob Cousy Award will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the other four members of the Men’s Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Jerry West Shooting Guard Award, the Julius Erving Small Forward Award, the Karl Malone Power Forward Award and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center Award, in addition to the Women’s Starting Five.
