I could not believe my eyes reading Dana's reaction in the Eugene paper to their loss at WSU. He felt that in order to win in the Pac-12 Tournament, "we need to play much harder." Wow. Have you ever heard that from him? We have heard many forms of that through this season, and he is basically saying at this point, "I know my coaching works, and if we are failing--it is on you, the players." Whew!

Kolby Somers getting strikes!

The Ducks trailed 1-0, and 2-1 for eight innings and then tied it up in the 8th. The pride of Hillsboro, Kolby Somers, got out of a jam with runners at the corners with no outs...but mowed them down for the save. Then, one of the most unlikely hitters in Gavin Grant, (hitting .259 coming into the game) hit a walk-off home run to end it! A terrible shame the online streaming was not working, but perhaps they will get it going for tomorrow's double-header!
