At Each Position: Recruiting Success at a Glance
Charles Fischer posted a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is really interesting, and while our RBs are not in the Top 10, it is because Seven McGee is listed as an "Athlete." Kinda fascinating seeing the schools at each position...and the surprises about the Ducks to me is the high ranking of the Tight Ends, and the lower-than-expected ranking of the offensive line. Thoughts? -
I like how they've moved up, but they need to go up more in the seeding if they want to make the Sweet Sixteen. See what is predicted at this point, but my question to you--how much higher a seed can they logically move up to? What is plausible as a goal? Well, she played 21 minutes for five points and zero rebounds. (Yup, you read that right) The Womens had their lunch handed to them in a 27 point defeat to the Bruins 83-56. I think I will pass on any game recap, and instead enjoy the incredible background photo of Franck Kepnang blocking a shot, courtesy of photographer Gary Breedlove.

Two Collegiate Records in One Race?
Charles Fischer replied to ChileDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is simply AMAZING, and really appreciate you giving us more information--giving us perspective on just how special that race was. Not something that happens hardly ever... Thanks ChileDuck! -
Forecast: Herbert a Pro-Bowler; Tua the Next Mariota
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great article, great insights and gives us much to ponder and watch for in the coming seasons Darren. It is no surprise, but the NFL has shut down the video you inserted... -

Steve Prefontaine...”Where the streets have no name”
Charles Fischer replied to Drake's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It is pretty hard to view that video and not be inspired by his toughness, his love of the Oregon fans and his love of competition. Thanks Drake! -
Look...I did not write that! A sportswriter for Athlon Sports did, and then he gives three major reasons why he feels that way--and why he thinks Oregon has a shot at returning the College Football Playoffs. Do you agree with his reasoning? Oregon Football: 3 Reasons for Optimism About the Ducks in 2021 by Athlon Sports

This means that JT Tuimoloau cannot visit Ohio State, Alabama or the Ducks until at least May 31st, and the recruiting Dead Period could go longer. How do you think he handles his recruiting now? Last night's Men Basketball victory over Colorado was especially sweet with the circumstances surrounding it. The Ducks lost again in Bolder earlier this year, had Eric Williams out with injury again, and the Ducks lost Eugene Omoruyi to fouls late in this game--yet still found a way to win. Will Richardson is so much better at driving and creating than the others and he makes such a difference for Our Beloved Ducks! And the defense holding the 'Buffs to under 60 points? Whew! Is this the beginning of a special run for the Men? Defense Helps Ducks Grind Out W by GoDucks.com Click below and see if you don't agree!

Yeah....I got a thing for alliteration, but we are in a very special stretch of basketball viewing. Last night the Men won a tough 60-56 victory over Colorado to start this five game feast of Oregon Basketball, and the following four days are as follows: Friday, (Tonight!) February 19th, Women play at No. 8 UCLA at 5:00 PM on the Pac-12 Network Saturday, February 20th, the Men play Utah at home at 6:00 PM on the Pac-12 Network Sunday, February 21st, the Women play at USC at Noon on the Pac-12 Network Monday, February 22nd, the Men play at No. 17 USC at 6:00 PM on Fox Sports 1 Both Oregon teams are in a position of improving and can move their NCAA seed up dramatically over the next couple of weeks. Let's see a lot of winning!

It's Time For The Ducks To Stuff The Buffs
Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What a cool win! No Eugene Omoruyi at the end of the game, a big block by Chris Duarte, and clutch free throws and a spin drive scoring in the paint by Will Richardson. Whew! Way to gut it out DUCKS! -
And Tim DeRuyter, who has been a head coach.... Coordinators (DeRuyter and Moorhead) who have been head coaches, and position coaches in Yates and McClendon who have been Coordinators. Whew!

PLEASE, Oregon....Give it Up....Never Again...
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Stick to what we are about.... Gosh I love that rich color of green....and I'll be darned if I can find it on the HTML charts. -
Not yet for me, as I want to see all the information gathered from a variety of sources. But he has quite a background, and is seemingly over-qualified to be a safeties coach, IMHO. Please see this thread, and in particular, the post by RatherBe. Nice interception by Verone McKinley!

Southern Duck....I see how they are giving you some grief on another site, and it is great to see you here. -
Ty Thompson "Turned Tyler Shough's Head?"
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Reading that made me wince, but both those guys have been around a ton of successful QBs, (Moorhead was a QB himself) and in the end....it is the kindest thing to do so Tyler can get a fresh start elsewhere. A high percentage of my photos from this short season have No. 12 in them....and people will not want to see them in future articles or posts. So I have to get some mileage out them while I can! -
I really think he ought to go to a smaller school and get his confidence back--being put into another QB room with five others is not a healing scenario for him, IMHO.

Oregon close to hiring Heyward's Replacement
Charles Fischer replied to UtahDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think Cristobal pulled a rabbit out of the hat with this hire, because things were not looking good for him to get a Heyward-type replacement for some time. Most decided to remain in the NFL or passed on it; this is quite a resume' for a secondary coach. MC upgraded again! -
The most interesting newbie to join Oregon is not who you would think from ESPN. I do like the comparisons they were making... ESPN gives Oregon's Most Intriguing Newcomer for 2021 Season by 247Sports Who do YOU think it is?

Love your talent analysis ChicoDuck....always. Good stuff to watch for! Set his base.... -
Now this is speculation, but this is not the first time it has happened at Oregon, and they covered it in the article. If it is true, it might be another indication of Tyler's diminishing confidence? Oregon freshman QB Ty Thompson may Have 'Turned Tyler Shough's Head' by 247Sports
