  1. It is interesting looking at the Oregon Baseball roster and seeing Robby's name there! He is a 6'3" 225 lb. outfielder from Hoover Alabama... Oregon actually returns a pretty good baseball team for this next year with the most great players from the state of Oregon in years with the Ducks. Robert Ahlstrom, North Eugene, (walking distance to my home) Pitcher Kolby Somers, Hillsboro, Pitcher (did not allow a run in his COVID shortened time on the mound in 2019) Nico Tellache, Canby, Pitcher, (A lefty for key moments) Peyton Fuller, Ashland, Pitcher (Dean's List, and was 1-0 with 2.84 ERA before season ended) Gabe Matthews, Salem, Infielder, (On base percentage at .400 and Golden Glove winner!) Aaron Zavala, Salem, Outfield, 3rd Base, (3rd Team All-American in 2019 batting .418!) Kenyon Yovan, Beaverton, Relief Pitcher, Outfielder and 3rd Base (Preseason 2021 All-American!) George Horton's best teams were filled with players recruited by current head coach Mark Wasikowski, who came from rebuilding Purdue. (Assistant at Oregon prior to that) He is a coach that I believe will make Oregon highly competitive again! Kenyon Yovan, a .429 hitter who was an All-American as both a pitcher and hitter and is the first at Oregon to ever do that.
  2. When COVID-19 forced NCAA sports into remission last March, I struggled to wrap my head around an Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team with three of the school’s greatest players — Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally and Ruthy Hebard — not getting one last shot at winning a national title. Setting aside the universal disappointment in locker rooms across the country, how ... Read the full article here...
  3. I don't know NFL coaches at all. But the Chargers were considered the second best team for a new coach to step into. The No. 1? Jaguars with their draft picks and cap amount open and hence Urban...
  4. So many good candidates...hire a good one Mario! This one...I'll pass on!
  5. Well, now we have experience and beginning to build depth....bodes well for later!
  6. I agree; a 70% mark is achievable and should be done. Rick Barry was amazing...
  7. He makes a great point that the savvy upperclassmen such as Boley and Mikesell need to be contributing more...
  8. The article is right here with some great new names...
  9. So true Brian....these are beautiful to me, and that color green is what I love in particular. I still think the best away uniform was from this series....I loved it!
  10. Sorry--did not read it as bracketing stuff is boring-as-heck to me. If anyone has a summary of it--please share.....
  11. How many Baseball fans of Oregon are there out there in this audience? I am looking forward to some threads about the team this spring and hope to watch them in action if possible. At FishDuck, we used to do articles about the team back in the day, but they are "lightly-read" compared to Football. Thus we had to focus efforts on the sport most are into...but I was REALLY looking forward to having a forum someday to be able to discuss Baseball and Softball in topics, even though we don't have articles. This is going to be another new FUN thing for me to enjoy about the forum! Ha! Got that Husky LONG before he got to the base!
  12. Welcome to Our Beloved Ducks Forum.. Please feel free to browse around and get to know the others. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

  13. I did not know that Keith Heyward constructed the USC defensive game-plans and I doubt anyone else did either... That article in the Twitter is about USC keeping an eye on Heyward and Oregon.... (All news to me!)
  14. Can't wait to see the pitching on this team for 2021!
  15. Let's look forward to a great 2021 Noah!
  16. I hardly watch any NFL during the season, but must admit that there are quite a few compelling games this weekend, and since there won't be any Duck Basketball....
  17. This is an article that is national in scope, but the Ducks are in it! And it is so interesting in how we now have a "rep" in an area that we never had before!
  18. It’s hard to overstate how impactful Oregon’s starting quarterback in 2021 will be — for better or for worse. Despite an underwhelming 2020 season, it remains true that the Ducks have a good-enough roster to compete for a Pac-12 title and College Football Playoff berth. Oregon has its flaws, but most of them aren’t detrimental. Elite quarterback play is the ... Read the full article here...
  19. And for college football fans! Let's celebrate!
  20. Amen. You have to be able to run the ball, especially inside the five yard line. They keep doing things to shoot themselves in the foot, and I'm delighted!
  21. You want to play THAT game? You got ugly uniforms? I got uglier yet! This (above) is from 2015, and I knew I did not like them from the moment I saw them... Is there a pattern here? Grey uniforms are LOSERS!
  22. I will say that it is longer than five minutes now with an adjustment today, but then I thought I would check for opinions and design it for the needs of the community. Hence this thread...
