The Case for Kayvon Thibodeaux Winning the 2021 Heisman
Great point, and I completely agree; the whole campaign would raise the level of awareness for the Oregon Defense!

Media Reacts to Oregon Taking Control of Conference and Winning...
This is an interesting thread of the media reacting throughout the game to events and their blustering both ways. It is funny to see that Bill Walton can annoy fellow sportscasters as well! As an aside to it all--I thought that was the best coaching I've seen at UCLA in many, many years. When they get fully loaded with Cronin's players--I think they will be pretty tough in the future. Do you see the upside in Westwood that I saw? Media Reacts to Oregon Pulling Away from UCLA in Key Pac-12 Battle by 247Sports

NFL Analyst: Penei Sewell Comparable to HOF Tackle?
Look, I love Sewell as much as anyone else and believe he has more upside ... but do you think comparing him to a Hall of Famer is apt at this time? I say, "tap-the-brakes" and let him create his own legacy without so high of expectations.... ESPN host compares Oregon OL Penei Sewell to NFL Hall of Famer by 247Sports

The Case for Kayvon Thibodeaux Winning the 2021 Heisman
I never thought a defensive end could win MVP for the Pac-12 Championship game...but it happened. Not great odds, but if....

The Grey Uniforms and "The Rest of The Story"
When I saw the grey uniforms? NEVER a doubt in my mind! And that is one of the most tongue-in-cheek things I've written. I admit my heart sank when I saw the grey unis, but apparently...it is a football thing. Down nine for a while and getting our butt kicked and pulling out of it? Wow. The best the team has looked this year; what a great time!

I had not thought of that...so every game after tonight is on the road. Soak it up seniors! (What a shame MKA is not full to honor them)

Monster Verbal Commit: 6'9" and 360 lb. Offensive Lineman!
On some other forums....many are 'dissing this verbal, but I think that after all the four and five star offensive linemen coming to Oregon--having a few projects with a chip-on-their-shoulder can be good for all.

Oregon and USC Again In 2021?
"Oregon does not play either of the top teams in the Pac-12 South -- USC and Arizona State -- while USC does not play either of the top two teams in the North -- Oregon and Washington. That's probably all you need to know, and will no doubt spawn some conspiracy theories." Oh yeah....don't let the Huskies see that!

What I was talking about yesterday
It is quite a heightened sense of paranoia, when you actually think that Phil Knight controls the scheduling at the Pac-12 level! The delusion of some knows no bounds!

Oregon Basketball’s March Into Madness: Win NOW
In the morning paper in Eugene ... Altman was quoted as stating that UCLA lost their best player for the year to injury, but are playing very, very physical. He told us to expect a tough, gritty physical game with the Bruins and that he feels the team is better able now to respond to that.

Oregon Basketball’s March Into Madness: Win NOW
Boy this is a fun time Coach, and thanks for your update. My vibe about the teams are quite different, as it feels that the Women have too many problems to solve--that should be by now. The Men though, seem to be improving toward the upside we felt was there at the beginning of the season. The teams are moving in different directions...

Ducks Climbing in Polls: Respect for Oregon Softball
OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | MARCH 2, 2021 Yanez Named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week Oregon left-handed pitcher Brooke Yanez was named the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after tossing a complete game in a win over then-No. 1 UCLA Sunday and earning the save later in the day against Utah. Yanez turned in another dominant start in the circle against the top-ranked Bruins in Sunday’s win, striking out 10 while walking just one and giving up a run on six hits in a complete game victory. She retired 11 batters in a row at one point and set UCLA down in order in four of her seven inning pitched. In the seventh inning of the UCLA win, she struck out the final two batters of the game with the bases loaded and Oregon up by two to seal the game. Additionally, Yanez is the first pitcher since May 2019 to hold UCLA to less than two runs while tossing a complete game. In the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday, Yanez entered to start the fifth inning with Oregon up by three and worked the final three innings to earn the save. She struck out six while walking none in the relief outing, including ending the game with three straight punch-outs after allowing a solo homer to lead off the seventh. The Ventura, Calif. native has been dominant in the circle all season long. She currently has 46 strikeouts to just four walks over 28 innings pitched with a 1.93 ERA. Yanez is also 4-0 on the season with a pair of complete games to go along with a save and has double-digit strikeouts in four of her appearances.

Oregon Women Ranked...for the FIRST TIME
Look, based on the response to the article for today on FishDuck about the Worlds most popular sports--I understand how this sport has little to no following, but it is relevant Oregon Sports News to be aware of. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | TUESDAY, March 2, 2021 OREGON ATHLETICS EUGENE, Ore. – For the first time in program history, Oregon finds itself ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. Oregon is coming off a 2-1 win over defending NCAA champion and then-No. 3 Stanford on Friday and a tight 1-0 loss to then-No. 14 California Sunday. Oregon will face its third consecutive ranked team Friday when the Ducks play at No. 3 UCLA. Other Pac-12 teams in this week’s poll include No. 10 Cal, No. 23 Stanford and No. 25 Washington State.

We play Cal on Friday and Oregon State on Black Friday after Thanksgiving as usual; good point about the championship game as that would be on Friday too.

Could Marcus End Up In Seattle?
One reason I have a hard time cheering for Seattle is knowing the fans are also Huskies, so Marcus being there might actually be tougher on them than us?

Ducks Climbing in Polls: Respect for Oregon Softball
Whoa...this is fast. A loss had to happen, but this is the most "honorable" loss that could have occurred to Oregon Softball. I love the respect given to the team and Coach Lombardi!

OK...there are two pages of comments, and if you do not like to wallow in other's misery--then you should pass. For me, this is miniscule compared to the trash-talking from the awful Husky fans of that day. Enjoy! Has There Been a Worse Interception Thrown Then This One? by Dawgman Thread

Ten Best States for Recruiting: The Order is Puzzling...
Now I get that Oregon is not in the top-ten for recruiting among high school talent, but the order of the states surprises me.
