I was quite surprised to see in the telecast of the UO-OSU Men's basketball game the two players held out due to COVID protocols sitting on the sidelines at the game in MKA. It was said that the players were asymptomatic, but can't you still spread the disease when in that condition? If you have tested positive....shouldn't you quarantine from EVERYONE until the time period passes and you test negative? Yes I know they were wearing masks, but that is another issue as so many of them are a thin cloth layer of which serve more for appearance than effectiveness. It just seems to me that they should not have been there possibly infecting others? Could they have worn those masks and played since they were there anyway? (I do not think they should have been there at all) Or perhaps I do not understand and would love to be corrected. What is your understanding and how should that have been handled in your opinion?

And now we have an announcement time....and he is a 4-Star on Rivals! Our best prior year for 4-Star and 5-Star signings was two years ago with 14, but this year we have 16 and this could bring it up to 17!

Well, on two of the subscription sites the belief is that it comes down to Ohio State and Oregon with the Buckeyes having the edge at the moment. But you are right in that this last hire might be a "deal-maker" for a defensive tackle like JTT.

What a shame, and it is too late for him to learn safety, as he could have been a great SS or OLB, IMHO. We don't beat Washington last year without him!

Dale makes a good point in the article in that a 3-4 needs a big Nose Tackle, and those are hard to recruit as everybody wants them. Yet I am not so sure about the 4-3 because we had pretty good defenses in the 3-4 with a 270 lb. NT in the past.... And tomorrow we get a short primer on what DeRuyter has done from Coach Boles. And I guess it is pronounced, "DeeRooter" and not "DeeRighter" from what I heard on YouTube...

THAT, is a very good observation and I did not think of it. Paopao is just a freshman, and experienced players like Boley and Mikesell have not always been at the top of their games and Sabally doesn't appear to be the "leader" type, (nor Chavez) and Shelly doesn't play enough to justify being the leader. Could it end up being Prince?

Perhaps it was the only way to get him to agree to leave now, instead of a year and a half from now? Effectively it was severance pay?
