Colt's problems were much more severe, addiction-wise.  Martinez did what a lot of young people do, get drunk and think they can drive.  He had a little pot in the car too, but in Oregon, that's legal -as long as it doesn't affect your driving.  In this case, it might have.

I hope that's the case, he has a bright future. We all mess up I just hope for him he doesn't let this affect him and put him in a downward spiral like Colt.

    Colt Lyerla comes to mind.

Such a waste, he had so much talent and could have been in the NFL. He was good as a TE but I really think he would have crushed it at LB and gotten out some aggression in the process.

This year is the exception, not the rule.

Going forward I think NIL and the transfer portal will created more parity between the top 10. There's so many reasons "$" to stay in school.

I believe this most apparent in the QB room, we're in years past if you were a late bloomer out of high school you ended up on a team that had no chance of making the playoffs. Now instead of entering the draft and hoping for the best they can transfer to a team that has a chance.

Carson Wentz, Trey Lance and Josh Allen are good examples of kids from small schools that could have made a run for it all with different teams. In the case of Wentz and Lance both of them could have benefited tremendously from playing at a higher level and honing their skills before the NFL.

Has any NCAA basketball team seeded lower than 16 ever won the championship?"

SDST came pretty close last year.

For me it's not all about who wins the championship but who belongs in top. Was the Boise State team from 2009 good enough to win it all? We'll never know because they didn't come from the SEC or the BIG10 so they never got the chance to prove it.

12 team playoffs give those Cinderella teams a chance to play for it all even if they didn't come from a power conference.

  5. Daniels has to run to open up the passing game. Bo made that happen last year, this year he's so good he doesn't have to.

Bo creates disadvantages with changing the play at the line or looking off DBs to help open guys up. He doesn't have to scramble for yards even though he can. Arguably that's the main difference between Bo this year vs last year.

Bo is so good he makes it look easy. Daniels is out there creating offense because he doesn't have the football mind Bo dose. I for one am glad Bo no longer plays hero ball.

  6. Georgia is in a big game today with Old Miss what happens to the rankings if Georgia loses? Two 9-1 SEC teams with a win over the Dogs Old Miss would more than likely be the top of the one loss teams.

The more one loss teams the crazier this thing is going to get. If Washington loses they're going to drop back to 9 or further. Michigan could get bounced out of the top 10 if they lose badly to Penn. Then there's a 9-1 Penn State in the mix but they probably will not jump in front of the ducks in the polls.

hold on to your hats gentlemen. It's just starting to get fun!

True but they were keeping everything in front

He got burnt on a few and was lucky he had help. I liked the kid a lot but he's still young and makes mistakes also he gets picked on especially when he's on bigger receivers.

Bridges is just a bigger guy who seams to stand up to the 6'5" receives a bit better.
