Oregon vs South Dakota State on Peacock now
If Simpkins can start being the guy at the 3 point line like he was tonight things will start to gel and open up. Lot of new players need to figure out where they belong Shelstad being back will help a lot but it will take time.

If you're going to take 35 3 pointers you better shoot the ball better than 30%.

Does Oregon WANT to Make the B1G Championship?
Definitely not, there's nothing to be gained by losing or winning.

I was think the same thing, getting to play the number 4 team if you wine sound so much better than playing tOSU at 1.

Does This All But Guarantee Dante Moore Returns to Oregon Next Season?
There's a few cautionary tales out there but by and large QBs who stay for their senior year end up with a better understanding of the game. Just look at Herbert, Nix, and Gabriel none of which I think would be doing as well in the NFL if they hadn't come back for their senior year. A former NFL announcer who started his career in the '70s and frequence my restaurant once regaled me with a story about Dak Prescott as a junior asking him for advice. He told Dak to stay in school and refine his game as he saw QBs get destroyed in the NFL when they didn't have enough starting experience. We we're talking about how NIL does have some positives. Lanning protected Nix his senior year and didn't ask Gabriel to do a whole lot of running either. He knows it's a bad look when you sacrifice your QB for a few yards. Throw in a few million in NIL maybe a commercial or two and you're making some serious money for a college senior. If you're going 1# then you have to go for it.

Dillon Gabriel Named Starter For The Browns.
All in all a good first showing, needs time with the first team to get on the same page on option routes but outside that looked good.

DG looking like a legit NFL QB, taking the lead going into the half.

Dillon Gabriel Named Starter For The Browns.
Another Oregon QB getting their shot to start! I'm quite excited for this, although I wish it was for any other team in the NFL. The Browns have a long history with being a terrible place to be a QB but if anyone can come in and shine it's Dillon. It's going to be a tough go of it with Cleveland's offensive line but with Gabriel's quick release and elusiveness that's as good a shot as the Browns have had in a long time. The saving grace is the Browns D can keep them in the game as long as DG can avoid turnovers and make some plays. Part of me wants to see him ball out and crush it. The other part of me wants him to play just good enough to get traded to a team where he can actually shine. https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/dillon-gabriel-prepared-for-his-moment-to-start-at-quarterback-team-coverage

Our Beloved Ducks: Is it SAFE to Dream?
I believe the trenches out muscled and out worked a very stout team tonight for one of the most hard nosed football games Oregon's had played in a long time. Reminds me of Stanford in the good old days.

Our Beloved Ducks: Is it SAFE to Dream?
I wholeheartedly agree, they are the next Duo at Oregon with the lightning and the thunder. Reminded me of good old days of fullbacks as lead blockers and short yardage backs. I'm just waiting for them to line up in the I formation!

Post-Game Thread: How 'Bout Our DUCKS?
Add in Blake Purchase at OLB playing off the line falling into pass coverage all while holding a good edge and this was a great run stopping D.

Post-Game Thread: How 'Bout Our DUCKS?
D was outstanding except for that brief moment they got a little too cocky and forgot to tackle or play coverage. Super gutsy game against a really good team. Definitely a signature win for lanning.

Coaching Jobs: Stein a Hot Name
Unfortunately I think they would jump all over him, and if I'm being honest would probably be a good fit for him. I hate even saying this but UW has a lot of the same things as UO has going for it. If you're going to move into the head coaching position, you want to move to a place that will give you some time and support not just send you off to the guillotine after losing a couple of big games. I'm sure Fayetteville and Gainesville are lovely college town but one of the fancy Seattle suburbs could be a nice place to raise a family. Couple that with a chance to win a national championship and decent fan support if I was him I'd take that over an SEC Job.

Oregon Football: 2025’s Best Defender So Far
Mixon has more of the natural instincts and isn't caught out of position as much as Jackson. Jackson seams to take less than optimal angles leading to arm tackles or being just a step behind a WR sometimes he can makes up for this with speed and sometimes he gets burnt. Jackson had gotten better at this but feels like the guy who never learned a technique because he's just so naturally talented.
