I have been pretty disappointed recently with the decisions and intentions of former Oregon football players, and their disproportionate impact on the Oregon Athletic program. I am not just referring to the bizarre letter to AD Rob Mullens, although it is a good example. As far as I’m concerned, the former players are 0-2 with their influence recently, and they ...
Yeah I know what your saying and F them because when they said what they said it pissed me off. Wilcox as in are you freaking kidding me. There are two major reasons why he'd never be hired here if I had Knights money. First this is a business and every move these business people have made in the last ten or so years has to do with this down turn in something I appreciated above the NFL. Players got paid and yes they did because when you get a full ride to come play for Oregon that's getting paid no matter what or how you want to say it. They should have never ever allowed players to transfer because it's really no different than FA in the NFL. So if they do transfer then they need to pay the money back for their scholarship.
Also how on earth did they give these guys deals now like Thibidueax got and you know he' hasn't played a down in the NFL nor gotten drafted and yet he's already 7 figures richer and he's sitting out the Alamo bowl. So this is not only unethical but " ARROGANT " as well. So as far as I'm concerned I would take Hutchinson with the first pick because the guy never quit playing. Umm we cannot say that about number 5 who lets just say never showed up in either Utah game and got punched in the mouth by Utah not the other way around like the idiot that just kept saying the same words that eventually people just started tuning him out. Lets be honest here Cristabol's a stupid man.
So back to your subject Charles is first off what they were asking made absolutely no sense from alleged College graduated students. Wilcox first coached at a school that move by Mullins whos playing with Phil's money and I;'m sure he read their concerns and then had a real laugh at their request and mumbled under his breath looks like you should have paid attention when you were in class. Yes it's the freaking fans that pay all these corrupt business men's pleasures and Phil Knight is no different and actually he has no respect from me ever. He's a greedy business man and it shows in his business practices. How rich do people have to be to not let American people earn a wage and then move your NIKE down south.
He didn't all of a sudden pay them really any better slave wages than he probably would have gotten up here for his money and his way over priced uncomfortable shoe that's made him way more money than he would ever deserve. All's I know is I'm freaking tired of waiting for this Championship to come. Lanning is the right hire and we are going to get on his staff way better recruiters than even Mario had and I believe this guy has the ability to make these 4 and 5 star recruits better players unlike Mario who sucked at coaching these players up. Sorry as to be so bold but I tell it like I see it and don't care if I'm offending anybody when speaking the " TRUTH " something the Media or 90% of them do not do.
Also all these words for sooo long about can't recruit to Oregon and then what really pisses me off is we were led to believe Oregon a state run College couldn't pay the types of monies that the BAMAS SCs of the world could. Yet we have one of the richest boosters on the planet and he could have paid for all this a long time ago. So he better hope this works out because the man doesn't have to much time left to see this happen as he's already 3 quarters of the way in the GOLD Coffin he probably already has made up. If people on here think this is a righteous man boy you are being blinded by the darkness. So I just said the truth and nothing but the truth and go ahead and ban me because this is just pure madness.
The entertainment is no longer really that because like you said Charles and yes it's all the truth they don't care about yes me the average Man with an equally average bank account yet I've spent thousands of dollars supporting this rich Mans team and don't fool yourself this is Knights team not ours the average fan that bleeds Green and Yellow only to have your heart torn out like this years BS caused by Cristabol who you know he already planned in that first loss to Utah already new he was going to Miami yet the fool will be fired just like Slick Willie was because the guy gets out coached. Now he's gonna get out recruited by Lanning's staff. Anybody who is thanking that turd for what he just did is not a true Duck period.
Honestly about Mario's mother he had to make it back there and they made it sound as if she wasn't going live much longer I'm sure was a lie and that's when he went back to Miami not to make sure his mommy was ok but to hob knob with the Miami idiots who like FSU seem to be blinded to the actual facts and they can just throw money away as if it's nothing yet we have people living on the streets with their children and yet lying corrupt people like this wanna think about themselves not bettering the game but mucking it up with their 'GREED' so kiss my Green ARSS because if you don't like it then you don't like telling the truth anyways and shame on you.

Haven't heard about him building a relationship with Dillingham.. but if true I wouldn't mind getting him back. After all we did just lose TMac from the 2022 class.
Pittman isn't bad.. the scheme relegated every receiver to the sole role of a blocker. Receivers should be blockers but they should also have opportunities to have fun and catch the ball.
Yes Sir!

That’s recruiting. I Can’t blame Mario. He built those relationships and has the time invested in those players. That said, he had better produce fairly quickly because he is being funded by “new money” boosters.
These guys aren’t old heads like PK. They pulled together a ton of money in a short amount of time. They’re not just starting out with new uniforms and a branding change. They’re all in. They want it all now. Unlike PK who started slow and eventually built up the infrastructure while keeping the nucleus of coaches around. The history of Oregon’s football program is like a spring fed river. They bubbled to the surface with PK’s help and have maintained a steady flow ever since.
Miami is expecting a deluge of rain to get their river flowing. They want a quick return on their investment. They’re paying Mario a lot of money to make that flood happen. However, the worst thing that could’ve happened for him happened when Dabo had a down year. Clemson is now perceived as vulnerable, so if Mario isn’t at least an ACC champion in two seasons then he’ll be on a short leash. He’ll definitely be fired after 3 seasons with no conference championship and Clemson isn’t going away.
Well I said after 4 but more than likely after 3 seasons your right he'll be fired from his dream job. A great coach usually when he gets the job he wanted his staff comes with. Well lets be honest here as I don't believe that his staff liked him a whole lot. The only coach that followed him yep you guessed it Minnie Me.

I was pretty PO'd when Mario left and in reality the Man that I thought was honest in all things turned out no better than Slick Willie. I also thought how freaking BUSH league that Oregon did the unthinkable once again as if do they actually know what they need to get this done with the Billionaires money. This is Professional Football now and they may call it different but opting out and transferring is the same thing as Free Agency at the NFL level. Players who now can sign for money is professional no matter how you sugar coat it.
So I don't for a minute believe that not one of these 3 QBs couldn't come in and do a better job than AB did and I don't believe it one bit. The only way this to hold true is if they weren't ever planning on playing them or for the most part training them to play the most important position on any football team. Thomas seen the writing on the wall that if he played one more year he new Mariota would be better than him and he was right. Freshman QB so I can just say this Moorehead isn't the answer and I'm glad there all gonna be gone and better coach's will be replacing them.
Dillingham is a guy that you can see the proof of the QBs he coached as a QB coach and why didn't we have that here in Cristabals reign. Heck if they were gonna stick with a grad transfer then we should have went with just the transferred QB Riseling because he was better than AB both games by a mile. That is clearly not any type of coach you would want taking your team to the promised land and clearly So they both Cristabal and Moorehead were not good evaluators of this position. So obviously neither of these guys has a clue to what is the most important position.
If Mario new any better then all's he'd of had to do was watch what the greatest HC ever Saban did when he brought in a true freshman QB and replaced Jalen Hurts in the Championship game. Well we all know the end of that story Bama went on to win the NATTY and that's what great coach's do is do whatever they need to do to win the most important game. We also fans at Oregon have seen the same thing in young great QBs. Mario didn't know what he had in Hebert and cost Justin in my humble opinion the first pick in the draft.
I guess we will see if Moorehead opens up the playbook but does it really matter when you have a QB that looked clueless against Utah not once but twice. Remember just before halftime we new we were getting the ball back in the 2nd half and AB broke a rule that every QB is taught from the get go never throw across your body and what did he do he runs and jumps out of bounds and instead of throwing it away he throws it across his body into Utah's defenders arms as the perfect pass to the wrong color jersey. After that one I thought for sure we'd see a different QB.
Honestly it's these coach's that caused what should have been the best Football to be played yet only to look inept not coaching the most talented roster to victory. Yes they could recruit, NO they couldn't coach on a consistent basis. I played this game and I guess I should have kept playing and got into coaching because wow you can actually get out coached and lose two games in 2 weeks by a score of 76 to 17 and get bonus to go coach somewhere else for 9 Million Dollars. Miami has no clue though and the stats don't lie no matter how many times they come up they will show how much Mario failed.
You can't ever deny the end results. I will not be watching this game because I didn't pay for their dereliction of duty to watch them screw this up again and make my team the Ducks look foolish. I'm still pissed about what transpired from the idiot Cristabol and the Ducks were never his team and certainly not all the boo boo's he did along the way. The guy has no clue when he thinks of the QB as second to his punch you in the mouth O Line. His words were so stale it made you puke in your mouth. He will not have anymore success in Miami that he had here be cause he doesn't get it.
Lanning I whole heartedly believe gets it and the staff he's hiring gets it so just go and look at their stat's. I feel rejuvenated and I wont count out Oregon having a better season in 2022 than the big regression from this year. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he wins coach of the year next season. Its taking just a little adjustment and we see already that certain players who have left are already being talked to about coming back on board as Jones is one that we really need going forward as he has a lot of upside and we need him here. Not that I want him back but our departed W/O I guess wants to come back.
All of this stuff is gonna take care of itself and look at Lanning who's gonna coach until Georgia either loses or wins it all so we should root for them to win it all and that can only help him and Oregon finish this class and maybe around 10th as you just don't know and I've already been hearing that fans are gonna be giddy in the next few weeks and Lanning isn't worried about what's going on here right now because he already has a plan in place so the guy is comfortable in his own skin. Go Ducks and this time believe it will go and win the NATTY soon.

Short term Mario: Physicality blah blah blah. Long term Lanning: Player development, on field results.
We got a taste of all that physicality against Utah which was a joke. I have to laugh at Mario who refuses to change certain things and I don't think we will have to worry about that with Lanning. Already have a great feeling about our new OCs ability to work with his QBs. Not a team strength with our last HC. I don't think I've ever seen where the coach didn't give somebody else a chance and that's why it's called competition. Or why play there. I'm not watching the Alamo bowl because if they lose and let AB stand back there all game that hurts going forwards.

Great article, as it takes many people to support such an auspicious plan. Each piece has to fit into a massive machine, and that machine has to become a microprocessor.
Gone are the days where the coach is only person making critical decisions. Does anyone really think Saban could have turned the Alabama offense into what it became without delegating the offense to Jim McElwain and getting rid of Applewhite after one year? Saban has continued to make shrewd hires and management decisions.
So much of coaching is delegated, and then trusting the coach, assistant or just chief of staff. Each piece has to be trusted to know their job and do it well. The coach can't be expected to micromanage, nor does a program want that. You hire great staff, keep them accountable, and let them be part of a larger web.
Lanning will be judged by the play on the field and wins and losses. Those all begin at the decision level we see with the hiring of Malchow. Not many really want to understand this level, but it is incredibly important for Lanning to make the right hire or the circuits go haywire quick.
Meanwhile Cristobal continues to kill it on the recruiting front, congrats!
Yeah Mario looks like some of his hires were bad like our latest DC that just left for TT. I hated his defenses because they didn't attack enough and Lanning said we will make it uncomfortable by attacking more. Same with his offenses and Dillingham is young and looks like he's just gonna get better. While at Auburn his offense put up 48 points on Saban's team. Mario to me wasn't able to get out of his own way and I highly doubt he'll do it any different in Miami. A leopard can't change his or her spots.

How sweet this would be? And how much $ would rain down?
Well Mr Joseph I would love a 16 team playoff, I mean we'd get killed by Georgia but we would be in the playoff's and why do 8 which they could have started all this in the first place. They went with 4 team playoff with 5 Power 5 conferences which right off the bat it was not fair and especially when you or they seem to always have room for two SUCK Teams. This has happened twice now which I wont even watch. Like me who wants to watch the same teams every year? Got better things to do. This would be awesome Jon and thanks.

This will be the 1st Rose Bowl for the Utes, a team can't come in hotter than the Utes after blasting the 2 time defending champion, twice in 3 weeks, right?
And Ohio State, can not be happy about how the season ended for them. They're playing in the Rose Bowl because Michigan knocked them out of the CFP, and is going in their place!
If you take the common enemy theory, Oregon beat Ohio State, Utah destroyed Oregon twice. Advantage Utah.
But, Utah lost to Oregon State, and BYU, and San Diego State?
At times Ohio State's offense was out of this world, Great QB, 3 great WR's, and a RB, that can take it to the house any time.
The current line is Ohio State -6. I'm going to take the Buckeyes to have enough fight to cover that.
Oregon lost both those games because Mario was preoccupied in his head he was heading back to sweaty Miami. OS will beat Utah W/O a doubt even though I would want them to win because I do think Whittingham deserves it. He's a under ranked HC and made Mario look really stupid as our HC. There are so many bad memories of those two losses that are hard to swallow and the ridiculous stupidity of sticking with Brown and we all know why he stayed in. No great coach wouldn't try to motivate his team by making a change at QB.
Saban took out Hurt and put in the lefty and Bama's offense took off and they won the NATTY that season. That's what's so crazy is the guy worked under Saban so he had the blue print for success but obviously never paid attention about your QB is your number 1 player on your team and that has never ever changed in the world of Football. OS I kind of have to believe will come in smelling blood then everyone will see that Oregon lost to them not because they were the lesser team only because they new Mario was working towards his other job.

Well I have a great feeling for what Lanning will bring to Oregon. He's already bringing in coach's, some of the best recruiters that will elevate Oregon's future classes better than Mario. We are also getting Tosh Lupoi who is a great defensive line recruiter and he can really recruit any position with the best of them. Lanning to me seems way smarter then Miami's new coach. If anyone after watching what he brought to the table as a HC think he's gonna bring Miami back to the top are misguided
Because I'll give him 4 years there before he's fired and I'll be happy to see that happen because the guys words were getting old and they didn't bring confidence. Lanning's words feel like something big is coming finally to Eugene. I just don't see Oregon winning the Alamo but that's just my opinion and honestly I don't want to watch the game period. They are still telling us that not one of those 4 star QBs can come in and run this offense. That to me with all the money these coach's are getting is a piss poor excuse for telling us AB will start.
I would never wish injury on a player but I hope AB gets turf toe or something or cramps that are so bad he can't run period because he clearly has been way to inconsistent. As far as the transfer rule goes they were telling us this guy out of all the QB transfers they didn't already know what they were getting. Heck Utah's QB Riseling was a transfer right so why didn't we bring him on instead. I would have thought that stupid pass he threw when out of bounds that resulted in a interception was the last we'd see of him. NO stupidity over ruled that one. Mario is a stupid HC.

I believe Lanning will be the guy that finally gets us over the hump. He has already proven his chops in saving some of this class and by Friday maybe even getting 5 more of this class to stay exactly where they were gonna sign before Mario left. I would presume this class by February will close at around or between 15th to 20th and maybe better because of who ends up coming on board. When they came out with the top 25 classes of the early signing period Miami wasn't there so I presume Mario's words have already started to go stale. LOL and I'm freaking glad.
His words evidently didn't mean S---. He didn't finish anything and certainly wasn't helping those 3 QBs that sat behind Brown which to me is how can you spend the amount of money in this day and age and not have better teaching of your QBs. That's what we were not used to under Mario and if he'd of used Hebert correctly Justin might have been the number 1 pick instead of the 6th pick. I am glad it worked out for Justin like it did just not the way it ended under Mario in Eugene.

A lot of this won't be cleared up until Lanning fills out his coaching roster. Most recruits want to know who their potential position coaches are going to be before making a decision.
This is just a rumor but I've heard Oregon is in the process of keeping McClendon on staff and hiring Lupoi away from the Jag's I guess. This would be a continued effort to get this incoming staff great or better than Mario's staff. Notice that the only staff to follow Mario was Minnie Me. That doesn't bode well for Cristabal and even though he went back home to sweat. I ville he will end up being fired after year three. I mean he can't figure out that it's a great QB who gets you the wins not a O Line that doesn't punch you in the face when he says that's what will happen.
Look at the scoreboard Coach 76-17 in losses to Utah? That was I think the most embarrassing losses to a second tier team we've ever faced.
-
I'm going to write some words down that some people might not appreciate so I am sorry if it makes some upset because right now I feel like a Groom standing alone at the alter because my future wife didn't want to live in Eugene. So here it goes I never ever believed Oregon couldn't recruit like the best in the nation. Bingo I was proved right because of two coach's who showed it could be done it was just called work harder than the other guys. Next belief and I never ever believed Oregon couldn't go after the best coach's in the country because of the Billionaire and I guess greedy booster and I don't need to name names as you all know who I'm talking about. Mr sweatshop himself.
So now I look at Oregon's search for a top coach could have just been a heck of a lot better option than Cristabal and that's quite a few but I'll start with one of the best Urban Meyers and Knight could have gave him a blank check and I know he would have taken that gold carrot. He could have said 12 Million Mr Meyers and you and I know he would have came and most likely we would already be celebrating probably having already won at least 1 NATTY. Cristabal will not get it done at Miami and he won't because the guy was clueless about the QB position. He cost Hebert and lets be honest the TOP pick in the draft and a few million more in his bank account.
At least I don't have to worry about watching Brown in the Alamo bowl if I decide to watch it, but really why watch a total self distructive team and now that their coach QUIT on them. I have been a Oregon fan since 1978 and now honestly I'm done wasting my time because what they just let happen was BUSH LEAGUE " as it gets and everybody in the Football world is watching what Oregon will do next. It took me a while to stop being a Blazer supporter because I used to love that team when of coarse they weren't owned by Allen. Honestly back to the Billionaire who I guess wants to haggle over money and this guys a business man and he clearly doesn't see what it takes to win a Title.
Make no mistake when they started this crap of paying these head case players money then this became a CF Oregon Ducks Business and that's a fact. So Phil Knight owns the Ducks and he's being cheap when he knows what it should take to get this done. Also Thiboduex who is already a millionaire for the deals he signed one with United Airlines and now he's gonna sit out the Alamo Bowl and I say what. If that guy who lets just say isn't the first pick in this next years draft because he didn't show up in either of those so I have 0 respect for the man because he doesn't have the right to not play and CF has made this monster and messed up the game now because of it.
Oregon for all they have messed up in their coaching hires this one has close ties to Slick Willie and they will need to hit a home run this time because if they don't they are back to being Oregon of old and I'm talking Oregon before Mike started all of this. This will have such huge repercussions if they don't get this right and I'll tell you how it will work. Now that players can just stop or OPT out now and go wherever they decide to go play for. So if they screw this up watch how many players like Justin Flowe leave for where SC because they hired Riley and why not they just now fixed their no hold on recruiting to now they will pass Oregon by leaps and bounds. This class will go from 9th and be lucky to be close in around 26th to 30th.
I'm not trying to be mean but this is the truth and the truth needs to be told and heard by people that appreciate Truth. Phil Knight should not be able to have a strangle hold on the UO because this clearly his fault and every bit of it. Not really Mullins fault if people want to blame him because Knight is his master, truth. Honestly I'm done 40 plus years is enough of tearing your heart out and waiting patiently for it to happen and truth it's not gonna happen. Heard Knight was discusted that Mario wouldn't take the deal and then took it off the table. This should have never happened because why? So many reasons it's just insanity and this might honestly have everything to do with Knight. So maybe all the fingers should be pointing to him now.
Thank you Fishduck and all the great stuff you guys are doing and hope you succeed in all your endeavors so sometimes I just get to wrapped up in this game of football when I could just put all this effort in stuff that's way more important because this just keeps getting harder and harder for Oregon to accomplish. This game that I love so much is being ruined by people just like Phil Knight Billionaires and their greed. The unfair part about that is this my team to and I'm a poor man. I feel like I've been fooled enough and it's just not enjoyable anymore or it's not fun because of these rich people including the CLOWN that just QUIT on his obligation when he signed his application and took the job.
I guess the one bright spot that you all will get is you more than likely don't have to watch the clueless QB that in reality should have never been brought here to begin with. With basically Free Agency now that kids can leave if they don't like the College choice they make can go elsewhere and to think of all the grad transfers we could have had they chose this guy. Look at Utah's QB as he was looking elsewhere and chose Utah and their gonna play in the Rose Bowl. Seriously speaking how does a OC get a HC job when he sucked at his job against the same team twice and how in hell does a HC who got beat 76 to 17 get a 9 Million contract for losing talking like he's a great O Line coach when lets face it didn't happen in the game.
-
I'm in a turmoil right now and today was the first day I was able to get on line and make any comments because I want a Championship and why wouldn't I. There is absolutely " NO EXCUSE " for Mario right now. If AB gives us the best chance to win and he still believes this then this is as good as he will ever be as a HC. I'm done with the AB gives us the best chance to win. If those 3 QBs are not good enough to beat him out, then they have not done a good enough job of recruiting this position. I mean AB should not be starting against the Beavers at all. He's just not good enough so I'd rather lose with one of the others behind center than lose to little brother with him at the helm. Honestly I think Mario Cristobal should be coaching for his job right now.
He's an O Line coach right, well lets just say his prize possession didn't show up for this game. QB no matter what is your best position and most important position but the way Mario coach's and talks about AB being the best then he has " NO VISION AT ALL " and he's not gonna last here long. Look what he had in Hebert and he had no clue about that. All's I know is I've seen enough of this S--- SHOW so now put a real QB in and quit trying to make us believe he gives us the best chance at winning because I don't believe it one iota. Oh yeah how about that non existent Defense with the alleged First pick in the draft who I'll also say he's getting paid (NIL) and he's not even in the NFL. He didn't show up for his ranking and he has no excuse.
Who is the coaching that is supposed to be coaching your most important position QB? I mean is Joe to scared to tell Mario to stay where he belongs and that's the O Line because I'd have to say he needs to start all over with how his PRIZE the O Line played. Honestly this whole thing is starting to look a little inept and this is on him. This kind of loss shouldn't be happening. I'm not just bagging on Mario because this team needs to MAN up as this is CF not junior high. I just want this team ran into the ground because they just embarrassed themselves, the fans and most importantly the Oregon Ducks. We have lost 4 recruits and Banks looks like the next guy our highest ranked guy because if he was all bought in he wouldn't be taking visits.
Sorry everybody but I know for a fact there are others out there that are as pissed off as I am. Oh yeah Mario and what ever gave him the right to ask Oregon fans not to boo. Really your making hand over fist money wise and your product sucks and I hope to GOD that if AB plays like he did in any of the losses and we lose well I hope he gets booed out of the stadium and deservedly so. The real tough questions will be asked if little brother beats us at home with he gives us the best chance to win. If he actually believes that then he won't be here much longer because he doesn't get it. Go ahead and go back to Miami because it doesn't matter if you get top 4 classes every year because you can't figure out offenses.
Also please stop taking games that no other teams do because they want to make the playoff's like the SEC for instance as they keep getting away with 8 games in their conference and then they also get away with HS teams at the end of the season so when has our competition went down not up towards Bowl season. He has a huge game and he's gonna stick with his insanity, so that's ok because we will soon find out if your the right coach for Oregon. I'm starting to think the opposite. You can recruit great players but if you can't coach them up then what good are you as the head man? To me this season is already a colossal waste and please stop taking games against the best in the country when you can't even beat the worst in the conference.
Sorry I apologize for my talk here but to me this is a huge 3 steps back for the program. Also everyone of these privileged players need their rear-ends handed to them this week and jobs need to be open and this includes QB and Thib's needs to be called out for making Dollars for what a 3 star game played. No excuses for him either.

PFF ranks two Oregon defensive linemen in the top three of the conference?
One part of the recruiting going on is I think of all the rich's heck just in the state of Texas this year for D Lineman was crazy yet Oregon hasn't gotten one 4 or 5 star DT. They are doing a good job of evaluation with the current batch that are getting coached up but just imagine a couple 5 star DT's like Georgia gets every year it seems yet they haven't won a Championship since the very early what 1980, I'm not sure but you know what I'm talking about their team is loaded with that type of talent yet I'm not seeing it as far as beating Bama. I hope we get Moss and continue to get better in the trench's.

Great stuff Josh and I fully fell comfortable in saying Oregon will go up North and pretty much take over that crowd as well as the team in front of them and I don't just believe this will happen I feel it and I know it. This team is proving their meddle and right now getting the healthiest isn't a good thing for the Ute's.
Oregon might just be happening a very special season. Now instead of replacing AB and yes he gives us our best chance of succeeding moving forward is this please stay healthy when you run. This team is resilient with much talent. My Niners just crushed the Rams so my team is ok for one week. My Ducks though are what hopefully looks like the better of the two so Go Oregon Ducks!

Dior is a great get for Altman and the program. He appears to possess the type of talent that can help a team of shooters and bigs get good looks at the basket on a regular basis. That said, the difference between high school and college athleticism on defense is significant.
It can take time for a young man to develop into an NBA player, and there are no guarantees that one year will be enough to get prepared to play against the best in the world.
And there are sometimes bumps on the road to getting ready for the NBA. N’Faly is a great example.
Getting NBA caliber talent to come to Oregon is a major win, and may put Altman in position for a run at a second National championship for the Ducks.

In Dana we trust. He's getting pretty good at this with shooters, defenders, you name it this guy knows the game of Basketball and I hope he gets Oregon to the Final 4 this year and after watching Oregon demolish in their 2nd game of the season a tournament SMU team that is said to be no less than 3rd in their conference and this of coarse has Memphis also. Oregon looked like a 15th game team as they looked pretty good together. I'm impressed with all the bigs and thats W/O Dante whos suppost to be back next month.

Yes and it's just my opinion the Ducks need to win out and make the playoff's. WSU yes I'm aware they are good, the Ducks are better and they better kick the Couger's tail's. My Niner's are just sucking as an organization once again and hears wishing Eddie D was still my teams owner. So you all know where I'm at with Football. Its time for this team and Mario's staff to take it to the next level.
I'm going to add one more thing and some people might not like it but yes it's just another of my opinions so here goes. Is it just me or do some of you feel that Big Joe isn't the answer for this D Line and recruiting? Mario keeps talking about having both sides of the lines being dominant.
I'm not saying this D Line we have right now isn't good because they are it's just that they are not bringing in any instant starter types of D Lineman. So most these guys wouldn't really amount to anything until their junior years. Thib's will be done this year and could you imagine if we had 5 star D Lineman next to him? MC needs to keep up grading this staff and recruiting is a big deal.
The state of Texas we full of 4 and 5 star D Lineman this class and we don't have one. Why is this staff not getting better recruits to play the position? This year and next I expect the D line to be a strength but after that there just really isn't a whole lot of talent for interior lineman.
Hopefully everyone agrees that this team needs to continue to get better every week and no hiccups along this journey for the remainder of this season. Seriously I think I'd be pretty pissed if we lose Saturday, so no excuses and as the past Al Davis used to say to his teams " Just win baby!" so there you go.

To listen to some of the so called logic from company's like ESPON and Suckeye Alum Herbie is funny at best. You know they are not happy Oregon has a clear shot at the playoff's. Alabama does not belong in the TOP 4 period. Oregon lets be honest is a tough Ass team and sorry about the cussing but it fit's. Here's hoping the Ducks totally throw the CFP for a whirl and there is no controversy if Oregon finish's 12-1 they should be ranked no less than 2nd period. I hope OS even if they go 12-1 the rest of the way they get left out of the playoff's all together. Hey JT I'm laughing at you Barf Bag. You could have come to Oregon and made a difference and chose to go to the Suckeye's? LOL!

Agree the youth may be a weakness, but they also may not know they should lose. We have a bunch of student athletes who, probably, haven't lost very much. The question is do they already know what it took to win so much? Even if they lose, with youth they can learn and get better, stronger for next time.
Georgia is a very good example where youth has had to learn the hard way over and over. It seems the program has finally realized how strong and tough you need to be. Can Oregon realize this without the learning curve, they have the opportunity, stay tuned!
I think were watching that right now as we speak! Youth and this team as of last weeks win against Colorado had more answers than not. To me the starters are catching up to this offense and the Defense isn't far behind. We have had a great season and we can still win out and play in the playoff's. We should see Oregon do even better than last weeks win and that's progress something playoff teams have in common. Go Ducks!

So clearly I wasn't the only one perplexed by Lakes comments on recruiting but I wanted to see if he was even remotely accurate. I gathered all this information from 247 I am sure some of it could be off but for now i am viewing it as subjectively accurate. also as note I wish i picked the previous recruiting class as this one is currently unfinished but i was halfway through when i made that determination.
so far in the 2022 class UW has made 79 total offers. of the 79 commits oregon offered 52 of them as well. that is a clip of 65%. now as far as who have these recruits have committed too. the breakdown is as follows
Oregon 8
USC 2
Ohio state 1
Notre Dame 3
Stan 2
BC 1
UW 3
UCLA 2
Tex 2
Cal 1
TA&M 2
OK 1
Indiana 1
Clearly oregon is pulling the largest portion of offers from UW. On top of this I wanted to evaluate the 27 offers that oregon didn't offer. of those 27 they average ~5 pac 12 offers. UW has done significantly better at recruiting these players. with 7 commits.
To date in this class I think not only are the two schools competing but that oregon is winning handedly. this isn't to say UW doesn't have a shot to jump up especially with about 25 of the players still uncommitted but I don't see that happening.
On a final note if you are going to brag about something it needs to be backed up coherently. You can't brag about your academic prowess and but together a sentence that is almost gibberish.
That was quite possibly the dumbest thing yet that Jimmy Fake has come up with and he's had a few of them. It belittled all the recruits that chose Oregon as if to say they weren't intelligent at all. So I'm reading it the first time and actually laughing because if I'm playing Football for Oregon right now I'm offended so I'm gonna show you on the field. If that's not bulliten board material then what is it. I hope they beat them senseless Saturday.

Oregon being ranked number 4 has got to be surprising to most on here. What we are seeing to me is great for Oregon and the Pac 12 next. So then can we get a beatdown Saturday of the Northern scumb and do a heck of a job being professional about it. So should Oregon be 4th? I didn't think so but to me they have the best win of anyone this season period so they can either take it and run with it and play like their ranked or not. Here's hoping they do beat the Leg Pissers good and shut up Jimmy Fake. Here's looking forward to everyone in the nation watching this game and seeing Oregon play even better than last week which would show us all the Ducks just might be that team that at least makes it to the playoff's.
To me anything after that is just a bonus for Oregon. I still believe this team is good enough right now to make the playoff's and they are the only thing standing in their way of getting there. I said all of this before Flowe went down and all the injuries this team has suffered since. Everybody seems to be on the mend to make any push so here's hoping they do.

The Monday Mario Cristobal Press Conference was covered by most media and below is a very interesting section about Anthony Brown and this throws downfield. (Contained in an article by Erik Skopil)
Question: You had 11 different players catch passes and I think probable one of the better passing days we’ve seen this season. After watching the tap, what did you see from Anthony Brown and kind of the offense as a whole that allowed you to have so much success?
Coach Cristobal: "No. 1 play design. No. 2, they stack the box and with what they bring up front and the issues that they cause up front, you’re going to have to make plays in the back end. So, him being able to diagnose coverages, get the ball out on time. I believe he was 29 of 30. So he was pretty accurate on a lot of ball. Some balls he’d like to have back and of course the interceptions were ones that were not good throws.
But there’s a lot of good, a lot of good plays, and a lot of really good throws that he mead that changed the game. Then he changed the game with his feet as well, on the big run and some of the other runs. Just the threat of being able to run like that also has an impact on the defense, and what you see. He also was a very good decision-maker in the running game, which also impacted the game.
So, all in all, just a lot of really good execution by him, by our receivers and by our offensive line, the running backs in protection were very valuable. I’m sure you guys saw some of those clips. We starting to get more in sync. We have to show just a greater determination for executing at a higher level because there was more consistency, it’s not all the way to where it needs to be. There is progress. We’re excited about that, and it against starts with the quarterback and the guys up front."
My OBD friends, this sounds like important improvement from Brown and significant flexibility by Cristobal. Thoughts?
Twenty nine of thirty! Was I watching the right game? All's I know booing aside AB needs to work more at his craft. I watched him throw some great throws and thought wow we been waiting 6 games for this guy to show us he can heave it down field. Also watched him look like is this your first game in this offense? His O line gave him more than enough time this game. Bottom line is we win and Mario is showing his real chop's. Good for him and he's looking like he's getting this stuff down. I see why these guys love to play for him.

Love the read Coach and I think your on to something. The game is something I need to watch twice because of the play that looked great and also look to the bad plays to see how easy the fix might be. I love the talent we have on the D side even with all the injuries. Man could you all just imagine Flowe playing in this D? I really hate being a Duck fan sometimes. I'm praying next year Justin gets a full season of play. So lets focus on right now and right now we have some talent.
Maybe this offense keeps moving forward with AB under center. Lets hope against the Buff's Saturday we stop playing down to the competition because you just can't keep getting away with this. Need to see Thompson in this game if possible.
So many things we could talk about this team and what went down in Pasadena. We won and looked better than we have now for a few games. So consistent play to me needs to happen. This offense should be more than it is and hopefully AB can still get better look better and bring that passing % back up to at least 60 because that's what starting QBs should be doing and especially ones that have been playing at the college level for 6 years.
So hopefully we will be able to see Thompson come in and show what he's learned and if he deserves more reps. Still a lot of what do we have here types of questions and hopefully all of them will be answered positively with improvement across the board.

No doubt about that as they can't even find a competent HC anywhere. They will drive Sark to drinking again. They just like SC just aren't relevant anymore. So they gotta throw their piss are way. Can't believe all the arrogance some of these people spew out their mouth's. I mean Sark used to bellow out crap from up north when he was the leg pissers HC and the only thing we'd shoot back to that train wreck was 4-0 baby and I think he never did beat Oregon while he was there and it was just funny and it's like all the fake news now as it's just hard to believe people even believe the lies let alone read it to themselves as if that's gonna convince them any other way. People now days just baffle the mind.
