"The 2022 Oregon offense promises to provide a new-look systems with Nix and the new coaching staff set to take over from Cristobal, offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead and quarterback Anthony Brown who all depart this off-season."
'nuff said!! I am excited to be a Duck fan and experience this new enthusiasm and excitement at Autzen!
I'm glad all those are gone finally. I hope Dye and CJ leave as well as they are not break away RBs and if this offense want's to go to the stratosphere then we need speed behind center.

The Draft is one of the most important moments in the entire NFL calendar, as it allows teams the chance to scoop up some of the best talent from schools across the US. The next NFL Draft is only a few months away, taking place between the 28th and 30th of April, and there are plenty of prospects who look ...
Charles I agree with McKinley being a first round pick as he will and should flourish at the NFL level. Kayvon though I just have a hard time rooting him on because of how he played at the end of the season and not playing in the Alamo game. This is how this stuff needs to work out going forward is it doesn't let players out of performing on the field regardless and the only way is if your injured and you can't play. Lets all remember they are getting paid and this guys already a millionaire. If I were Detroit I would take Hutchinson because he's a home grown and never stops playing.
To me he's just going to have a career like all top BIG 10 D lineman and lets be honest he did way more against better competition than did Thibodeaux.

Whoa!!! Hold your horses my friend. KT was double teamed all year and still created havoc. Alabama has NFL talent clear across the line. You don't double team any player on Alabama's line or you are going to get crushed. So, that's not a fair comparison in the least.
As far as Mr. Moss and his leanings, I wish all the kids the best. I hope he comes to Oregon. These kids want to go to the NFL, thats the first and foremost. Relationships that have been budding for over a year are a factor. But, schools and their academic program is a factor. Facilities are a factor.
Oregon has the feeling of a Rocket ship fueling on the launch pad, and all these kids know it. They all know who is playing in the Championship game come Monday. They are all very aware of who the Coaching staff is becoming at Oregon.
That vibration they feel in the North West is Oregon starting its engines for a powerful run. I hope Cyrus sees this enough to make the commitment to Oregon.
I love and want the kid to but if you think Moss will make the same kind of impact as Thib's his first year I just don't see it. He needs to add at least 15 to 20 lbs of muscle to play the same position and be more suited to be an OLB or rush LB.
He's not gonna be able to hold the edge on run plays either way you want to look at it. GO Ducks Just Do It. I'll also add one more tidbit to the just do it. Be Quiet and let your play on the field do the talking.
Honestly I don't see the need for players to have interviews and talk as if they got this only to get blown out against Utah.

While KT was exciting to watch, you can't help but feel that he underperformed, given that his goal was to get 13 sacks this season. I believe Bama's Will Anderson Jr. recorded the most sacks with 17.5 sacks.
Injury did play a part, and KT isn't entirely to blame for falling short of his goal. Many times, this season, he was either being double teamed, or the opposing team designed the run or play away from him. The D-line as a whole was undermanned, in most cases, rushing only three or four. It was up to the coaches to make adjustments and put him in a position to make a play, which they failed to do.How many times this season, I saw KT drop back into coverage. By doing so, DeRuyter just neutralized our best pass rusher, weapon on defense, and perhaps, our best chance at winning the game. We needed more pressure on the QB, not less.
When the Ducks gave the opposing QBs more time to survey the field, they were able to pick our defense apart. It was a tall order to ask KT or any DE to cover a RB or receiver in full stride and in space. Rather than playing to his strengths, DeRuyter made KT look average during those plays, which I hated to watch.
I realize that DeRuyter was the DC and not Mario, but a smarter HC would have intervened and recognized that it was the least effective way to utilize KT's talents. Mario is definitely not a smart, X's and O's type of coach, which I learned early on.
So if this is type of leadership or lack thereof that Cyrus Moss wants to play for, then by all means. He better pray that Miami's DC is the real deal. If not, he will be another underperforming, top DE under Mario's watch.
Despite all that, KT, on his own merits and under the tutelage of Big Joe, may still become the #1 overall draft pick.
I did like Big Joe but man he was not a great recruiter and never brought on 1 five star D Lineman. That's what's going to win you championships and that's why Tosh was hired as he can recruit and coach these kids up. I was hoping Mario would ask Holati to come be the Ducks D Line coach. Anyways do love Joe and we could have done better and now we have a way better staff on paper.

H'mm wonder if Lupoi our new DC has phoned Mr Moss up? I would imagine that to be the case and when Mario was here we weren't really sure if Moss was going to come here at all. I mean why all of a sudden would he want to go clear across the country now unless it was Bama. Heck I think I'd pick them or even SC before I went to Miami. Man they got some of the ugliest uni's on the planet.

Just read article about RB Sean Dollars. Says not to sleep on him as he is putting the work in to be a factor in upcoming season. Can't wait.
Be real nice if he could stay on the field as he was better than CJ and Dye by a mile with his abilities. Mario honestly lied about open competition because that was clearly not the case. The QB position was a prime example as he brought in the QB he wanted for his Drudge pudge running offense. AB was not allowed to throw the ball down the field apparently. I thought it was going to be an open competition for every position. Lanning and his staff need to make sure this is a reality for recruits to come in and compete as the best man plays in all 11 positions regardless what your ranking is.

Could he not beat him out, or was it Cristobol and what he wanted, no one knows, but I think transferring is a telling story of what went on in the QB room, and frustrations of the receivers towards the end of the season was very telling.
Mario actually did so much damage to this team than we even know. I mean some of the holes that O Line made when they wanted to if James, Barner, Stewart, Tyner seen those they would have been gone. We would have had at least 10 more TDs a year. Speed kills and we don't have close to enough of it at RB position. What happened to looking for recruits who run a 4.4 40? We need that element to open up the play down the field also. We have the W/Os that can run and I can't remember having 3 with the same capabilities.

It's my sincere hope that it's TT. Much as you've already stated, we need to be able to not only recruit top-tier talent, but also groom and coach that talent into an NFL caliber player. We've shown that we can recruit that into Eugene but if we don't develop and play that talent, then we're going to lose the ability to get it here in the first place. I've been over this transfer stuff since the Prukop disaster...
Yeah that one was a stinker!

It's hard to erase any thought of a wink and a nod to Nix given his history with the current incoming OC....he may turn out to be great but unless the name is Burrow, Murray or Fields - and now Williams - I'm totally against portal QB's.....just hate it.
Well get used to it because that's the way it's gonna be. I mean could a team poach a Bryce Young from BAMA for a lot of money? Now that would be ok with me.

Two days ago, it was announced Robby Ashford would enter the transfer portal. After countless discussions, articles, and efforts from Our Beloved Ducks’ fanbase to figure out what to expect of this team’s offense (that showed wonderful signs of life in the passing game during the season’s concluding bowl game), we see another all-time great recruit heading somewhere new. This ...
Honestly I loved Ashford because he could play Baseball and was pretty good at it. Thompson is the heir apparent to the thrown and Robby I seriously doubt was ever gonna get a chance or we would have seen him jump both Ty and Butter's. Wherever he goes I hope he has positive results as long as it's not Miami. We need Ty to win the QB battle over Nix. If Nix wins the job and there's no doubt that he will be great then fine. All's I know is he better win every PAC 12 game. I will say this I don't remember who compared him to AB but that's crazy because I think NIX is better period.

Oh hell yeah. Let's go for the gold #1 class in the country in 23
They just paid a new DC that will trump Andy and Tim times two. Neither of those guys really brought the talent that was on this team even into a TOP 20 Defense. They paid over 5 Million to get it done and Tosh has pretty much done a great job wherever he's been. So could Oregon and this new staff get a number 1 class in the nation? I believe they could or can if Phil delivers the pay. Not just pay for all the best but pay for the players they fell can be complete 11 on each side of the ball. Team play and it really was only half most the time with this roster.
Here is what I believe will happen and this staff will out recruit whatever Mario did and then some. What was his best class 6th. I would think Coach Lanning and this staff will get at least 3rd for 2023s class.

Oregon is a running back school and has produced some of the greats in both the college and the NFL, including LaMichael James, Kenyon Barner, Jonathan Stewart, LeGarrette Blount and De’Anthony Thomas. The the list goes on. We have to give credit to CJ Verdell and Travis Dye for their running ability and their strong on-field results when they have been ...
I would just like to see some semblance of a RB that can hit paydirt like the old days and not stuck in quicksand if you know what I mean. Hey I love what CJ and Dye have done for Oregon but it's time for them to move on. No more free meals, lol. Most important even over the RB position is QB. Who is going to give us the shot at even reaching the playoff's?

The "EXPERT'S" are falling all over themselves to see who can slobber all over Riley and U$C the most. Why even play out the conference games. Just put U$C in the CFP and call it a day.
Just like USC fans are absolutely convinced that "Uncle Phil" has paid for Oregon recruits for years. Seems it's a case of whose ox is being gored.
Remember SCs last Championship? Well they got a whole lot of room to talk as at least now it's legal they got caught giving RB I think was around 6 hundred thousand dollars. I think they had to forfeit that championship. Its funny when people start harping and you know why they do it? Because they have a guilty conscience a little. SC, the Mutt's I just need or we all need Oregon to win a freaking championship so these people will shut the heck up.

I intend to enjoy cheering Our Beloved Ducks for as long as I can, while I can still recognize CFB.
OK we've all complained about the degrading game we used to love so much. So are we going to jump on the band wagon or not? If Phil has to pay to get it done then so be it and like is slogan for Nike say's " Just Do It " and you may have all noticed I've been writing that in all my post's. I mean these off seasons are just getting to hard so if this is how they want it someone please get an interview with Phil and ask him the tough questions because I'm really interested in if he's 100% on board. Because if he's not then I'm done because I've got better things to do than this.
Its what the world has come to and it's gonna be done here real soon anyways. The system of things cannot go on much longer with what we see unfolding in front of our eye's and I'm not just talking Football which is not competitive nation wide. Its the rich that get what they want and that's all gonna be going away soon enough. Anyways it's what it is and can we just pay for the best now that it's allegedly acceptable by the NCAA who were supposed to stop cheating a long long time ago and let the SEC seemingly get away with it.
So lets at least challenge the big boys for the prize and if this is indeed the way it's supposed to go to pay to play then I expect some real great football players to start wearing Green and Yellow. I mean think about it people, what would people say if Oregon did just that? There is absolutely nothing they could say as now were just beating them at their own game and this time it's all allegedly legal. So Mr Knight it's all in your corner now.

What does everyone think her about the need for parity in College Football? With this, I mean in today's NIL and "the rich get richer" era. I don't mean the 70s and 80s where the same 10 or 12 teams would be really good year in and year out because they were the popular places to play.
I have to admit, I am about as excited to watch this year's edition of The SEC Championship Round 2 as I was the last time Georgia squandered a lead vs Bama in OT, as well as the LSU Bama 2011 baloney. The only reason I will watch is because of Georgia's D Coordinator.
Does their need to be a draft? Or a cap on "How many stars at what level" you can sign?
Or do people feel the transfer portal will help to spread out the talent over time in order to get playing opportunities.
I love the NFL as any team can beat any team on any given Sunday. But the same old 4 or 5 teams in in college ball is getting bland for those of us not fans of Bama/Georgia/Clemson/Suckeyes/Sooners and even ND.
Cheers.
I'm sure most people would agree with you and it's just not gonna really change that much. The only way Oregon gets in and wins it now is the " MONEY " Uncle Phil is willing to spend so we might as well just say it like it is, this is Phil Knight's team regardless of what people might think. He does have the money to pay or out bid anyone so lets quit the charade and get down to business and pay for that Championship. Doesn't matter what people think about it because that's how they want this to go for now on. SEC Football is to dominant and I want Oregon to put there mark in there!
Its his trademark as in " Just Do It " so please Phil just do it now. I believe we will as they just paid for Tosh and gave him 1.7 Million to be our new DC. So if money is the number one factor then looks like maybe Oregon is on board now. Don't get me wrong but honestly I don't care about what everyone else does in the PAC I'm an Oregon Duck fan and that's it.

So if you believe in a Higher Power, Not named Mario or Goodell, you can see that fate, sure, let him be average in skill level in college with poor evaluations from the talking heads in sports. Once on his own to train and have opportunities to showcase his knowledge and skills to be picked up by a team whom he admired as a youth. Destiny. Opportunity. Character. He is doing it as a leader of a team with a lot of good parts, team mates and coaching. May he have a long and successful career.
We should know what the Chargers off season should be about. Making that defense 100 % better. Draft should should be all about making that D a top 10 unit and this is the only thing really holding this team back. Don't know what their money structure is but hopefully they are well below the Cap so they can bring in some difference makers at defense. Go Chargers and man that is a cool stadium. I just wish that was in San Diego.

Honestly it's about time. Also this is a violent sport and I'm really curious if they would ever be able to stop head injuries and I just don't think it's possible. Your neck or spinal column is very fragile so it's not just the head with the injuries that cause concussions. It will be nice if they can because of the money they spend that should be number one on their list always. Hopefully it puts concussions way down but I just don't see it stopping them completely. Especially when they hit with their head the crown and I know there not supposed to but it still happens.

Man he looks demonic there! Whew we dodged a huge 50 Caliber Bullet there people. That just isn't a good look to me anyways and thanks for the picture Fish. Yes mario was a great recruiter but a terrible Xs and Os HC and really no coaching up players. So I really didn't like where this team was headed. Ugly offense and he will not succeed at Miami if he stays with his failure to evolve which is fine with me because I still have a BAD Taste in my mouth from his terrible offenses. Good Riddance.
