What IF the B1G Did NOT See This Coming?
? On Wisconsin! But really. Wisconsin did not have the ball on the final possession close to the goal line.

What IF the B1G Did NOT See This Coming?
Not saying the below predictions are accurate but I am saying that going B1G provides Oregon with a much better slate of bowl games. (Exciting Week 1? Riiiiiiightttttt.) B1G bowl projections following an exciting Week 1 SATURDAYTRADITION.COM B1G bowl projections following Week 1.

The Pac-12 Is Not Going Gently Away
Now Wait A Minute! 7 ranked teams? I don't see it but it would be sweet. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/how-college-football-playoff-rankings-would-look-after-week-1

The Pac-12 Is Not Going Gently Away
1st time since 1980 that the Pac-12 is undefeated after week 1. Monday Out West: Forget a passing fancy — this is some fancy passing SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM The Pac-12 exploded out of the gate in Week 1, becoming the only conference to go undefeated behind maybe the best day of passing in league history.

The Biggest Will Stein Surprise?
Spot on on the JJ FSU call-out! And as(s) for my betting predictions, I am a pitiful 3-3. The bright side? I did come with 2 USC Route 66 Over locks. That, and I didn't have money down on the Bayou Bengals vs. (not overrated) FSU. Bad beat - .5 from winning the Over on the Kentucky vs. Ball State game with the two teams combining for 3 missed extra point attempts. Rats!

Wall Street Journal on the Deion Sanders Experiment
Good points but SCOREBOARD! CU went on the road and beat the #17 ranked team in the country.

Wall Street Journal on the Deion Sanders Experiment
Texas State came in 2nd after CU, 51 transfers, in portal additions with 49. Texas State won its 1st game ever against a P5 opponent with Saturday's win at Baylor. (Baylor's starting QB is out for the Utah game.) CFB loves to copycat. The transfer portal will continue to have an impact down the road. UGA backup QB Brock Vandagriiff relieved stater Carson Beck in the 3rd quarter of Saturday's win over UT-Martin and put up 17 points. This is a guy who could be on DL's transfer portal radar.

Thoughts on Texas Tech
Lubbock, Texas, 3200 feet. Against WYO the TT usually reliable FG kicker went 1-3.

Wall Street Journal on the Deion Sanders Experiment
The Monday After: Deion Sanders made believers out of many after Colorado upset TCU, but it's a long season - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Buffaloes put a lot into it winning its opener vs. the Horned Frogs, but may have trouble matching that effort each week

Weird: I've Lost All Interest in Oregon State
Transitive property FWIW, but the OSU D on the road looked better against SJS than the SC D at home.
-
Weird: I've Lost All Interest in Oregon State
The only game kind of worth watching was the Penn State White Out of West Virginia. The Illinois game vs. Toledo was interesting but Holy Toledo Illini, it's Toledo, no? It was morbidly interesting to watch the Ohio State O struggle. Marvin Harrison, Jr. with 2 receptions? Minnesota won on a walk-off FG but the game versus Nebraska was like watching 2 guys fishing. Northwestern at Rutgers? Res Ipsa Loquitor.

Five Takeaways From Oregon’s Week 1 Drubbing of Portland State
Gimme 5! And give me more FishDuck articles like this! Thank you, Jordan. Now, will Puddles cross the Jordan and perform push-ups in the final Final 4? Charles and Coach Boles know the Xs and Os. And Bo in limited play showed that he hasn't missed a beat from 2022. On to Lubbock! Don't forget your sunscreen.

Canzano: Finding Logic in a 74-Point Drubbing
Bobby Bowden - It's not my job to stop Florida State from scoring. Deion fell not too far from the tree.

The Pac-12 Is Not Going Gently Away
My Bad Thrice - 1. Count much? The Pac-12 after Week 1 is 13-0, not 14-0. There is a reason that I attended law school and not business school. 2. Ooops. Before playing Sparty in Week 3, UW has a tussle with Tulsa this Saturday. 3. Lot you know DeNunzio! I muffed it on which team was preseason overrated - Week 1 says that it is the Bayou Bengals and not the Seminoles.
-
Canzano: Finding Logic in a 74-Point Drubbing
Right. Nebraska at Minnesota was a display of 2 teams without an offense between them. Illinois was fortunate to beat Toledo on a walk-off FG. Purdue lost at home to Fresno State. Rutgers vs. Northwestern had more stray dogs in attendance than fans and was BORING. Ohio State struggled on O at Indiana. #25 Iowa won 24-14 but was pressed by Utah State. Do any of these so-called experts pay attention to what is happening on the field? Last season, the Pac-12 finished with 5 teams ranked by the playoff committee. The B1G finished with 3 ranked. LSU put up 60+ points in its bowl beat down of B1G W champ Purdue. Yes, Oregon is 1-9 vs. Ohio State but so are most of the teams in the B1G. Ohio State just defeated Indiana for the 28th game in a row. Oregon is joining the B1G and not the SEC.

Lanning 'GETS' it Unlike Any Other Coach at Oregon...
Ez, if Mari(o) knew, he didn't show it or do much to show off JH's skills. But today, JH is laughing all the way to the bank and DL is being handsomely paid.

The Pac-12 Is Not Going Gently Away
14-0! Oregon State 42 - San Jose State - 17. Could not ask for a better start. Hopefully, it finishes with the Ducks in the final Final 4 but it is going to be a very tough road.

Prime Experiment Working?
My bad, CU had 3 receivers in 2022 who went over 100 yards receiving during the course of the season. CU true frosh RB Dylan Edwards scored 3 TDs receiving and 4 total. He scored the game-winning TD on a 46-yard 4th quarter reception and run. Edwards is 5'9" and 170 pounds. The speedster was originally committed to Notre Dame before flipping to CU after Prime was hired.

Lanning 'GETS' it Unlike Any Other Coach at Oregon...
One area of concern I have and I have zero concern with running up the score, is ZERO sacks and only 3 TFL. This is far from Havoc.
-
Thoughts on Texas Tech
2 stats from the PSU blowout that I find to be disturbing. SACKS - 0, Zip, Nada against an overmatched group of athletes. TFL - 3. Where was the pass rush and the havoc-play D? I hope this isn't a trend. The D will be playing against better athletes in every game from now on. I saw nothing yesterday to convince me that the front 7 has improved let alone greatly improved. Is Tosh the right guy? Because I do not see the players 'getting it.'
