  1. He did manage to get College Gameday on an HBCU campus. And he lifted the nation's recognition of HBCU football teams.
  2. Oregon has a QB. The most experienced in CFB. Bama?
  3. This year, WYO may be better than Bama?
  4. David, and here I had you pegged to make a return to the NFL! I'm rooting for you. Lots of milkshakes, weight lifting, and Puddles-like push-ups could do the job.
  5. Ole Miss +7 at Bama. Saint Nick's fairy dust has disappeared seemingly overnight. But look closer and you'll see that last season even with Bryce Young at QB, Bama could have easily lost 5 games. You biff on QB evaluations and the assistant coaching turnover finally has a negative impact (Tommy Rees?) and it's free fall and not a gradual descent.
  6. Viewer numbers for the Buffaloes are up 820% (!) from 2022. Amazing what one great hire can do. Colorado Buffaloes are America's Team FANSIDED.COM When Coach Prime took over the football program in Boulder, there were plenty of folks who scoffed. Some said his experience at a major division one program wou
  7. Pac-12 teams a-hurtin'? No school has been dinged this season worse than Utah. Losing your starting center hurts but as noted above, so long as Penix has the 3 amigos to throw to it will be tough to hold the Husky's down. Utah is down a lot of starters including, both starting OTs injured last week to add to Rising, 2022's 2 best receivers, 2 best DL guys, 2 starting DBs, and 2 RBs. BUT, they'll probably all be good to go when Puddles trips to SLC. It's going to take all of the Mighty Muss and Whit's coaching to upset UCLA on Saturday. UCLA did defeat Utah last season as did Oregon. But Utah is 25 and 26 in its last 26 home games and has won 14 in a row at Rice-Eccolls. The Utes win over Florida is looking better with UF's decisive win against Tennessee last Saturday. Man, this conference in its closing act is a Witch!
  8. You play older guys when: Guys go on missions; or, you tap the portal like tapping a keg of the finest IPA nectar. I believe 'our guy,' Bodacious, has more starts than any QB in CFB including ND's Sam Hartman. And Cam McCormick is asking the NCAA to allow him to play his 9th (!!!!!!!!!) season of college ball. Calling Doctor McCormick, emergency in South Beach!
  9. According to ESPN''s College Football Live betting guru, covering the -21 will be easy peasy. He has the Ducks -21 and predicts an easy cover. I am down on Puddles at -19.5 so I love this prediction. Puddles my fine feathered friend, do more push-ups! BTW. I am a sorry one game under .500 for the season. But better than ESPN's other gaming guru, Stanford Steve. But I should be better. I went to a better college than Steveo. (Yuck, Yuck!)
  10. 1-11 to a bowl game, at least, will be one heck of an accomplishment.
  11. Compared to an (undeserved/ should have been McCaffery) Heisman winner. DL is going out of his way to pour a little sugar on CU.
  12. CU - #122 ranked D in the nation. Control possession? OK. But I say go BB early and often and bury the Buffs. Take no prisoners! Leave no crumbs! And, I need 19.5 plus .5 reasons to beat Prime Time. Thank you, Alex.
  13. Based on recent results the 2 have arguably played their way into the B1G, WSU has defeated Wisconsin 2 years in a row, a conference that after the B1G 3 and before the Pac-4 arrive is not all that. But no AAU membership is a B1G kiss of death. Likely the same for the ACC. And Fox/ESPN does not seem interested in opening the wallet to add two teams from small towns in the NW. WSU and OSU should go to the Mountain West. (Rebrand the MW the Pac-Something if you so desire but it will still be a G5 conference.) Run the field for the 2024 playoff using the latest AP rankings and even with only 5 conference champs in automatically and 7 at-large teams, MW champ OR ST would be the 12-seed opening at 5-seed SEC Texas. B12 Utah would be the 4th seed with a 1st round bye. When aligning with the MW in some fashion, OSU and WSU need to negotiate a bigger cut of media revenue, like Boise, and a bigger slice of post-season pie income.
  14. I do think the B1G will limit East Coast to West Coast and vice versa as much as possible.
  15. According to BTN, the conference will do its best to have the B1G 2024 schedule finalized before the 2024 Spring Practices. How about - OR permanent opponents UCLA, USC, UW, Wisconsin (a lot of history with Oregon.) UCLA - 'Pac 3 ' and Michigan. Before adding the NW schools, the B1G had Michigan as one of the Bruins permanent opponents. This would not be favorable for UCLA. USC - 'Pac-3' and if Fox had its way, Ohio State. But I'm guessing it will be a former B1G W division member. Iowa? UW - 'Pac 3' and Nebraska/Minnesota?
  16. I'd much rather play a H+H with Cal and Stanford than with any B12 school. Ducks will have to replace the H+H with Michigan State and the return trip from Ohio State. Permanent Ducks B1G opponents? UCLA, USC, Washington, Wisconsin. It is going to be fascinating to see how the 2024 schedule comes down and how many of the B1G 3 Oregon will have to play.
  17. Great cameo on ESPN College Football Live today where Deion told people to get off the back of the CSU who had the late hit on Hunter. As Deion said, 'It's a game."
  18. Mic, I think that was as much on the HC as it was on Ty. Bad call at a bad time. Punt!
  19. Ty has looked good in relief. With the limit on practice time, there are only so many practice reps available for the backup QB.
  20. Ty will be getting a B1G opportunity next season.
  21. On ESPN College Football Live today I was very happy to see Deion calling out the idiots who threatened the CSU player and his family. "It's a game," said Deion, "someone is going to win and someone is going to lose but it's just a game. The young man was playing as hard as he could and made a mistake. It happens and to threaten the young man and his family is wrong; it's inappropriate." Yes, he was wearing his cowboy hat and shades when he so opined. But I think that it is great that he came to the young man's defense.
  22. Thanks for the info. I am a bit surprised at the TT # but the game was up against TX at Bama.
  23. Bad news for UW. Utah is a wounded team with UCLA and star true frosh Dante Moore (SIGH) coming to SLC. Kalen DeBoer announces two season-ending injuries for Washington SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Kalen DeBoer reveals season-ending injuries to a pair of Huskies.
  24. Great take, WW. The man's first name is "Deion." Or, is it "Neon?"
