Among other things, GK indicated that the Pac-12 would be going to 8 regularly scheduled games. Alliance OOC games will begin sooner rather than later and be spread out throughout the season and designed for equal competition. GK also told Andy that there may be too many cooks in the playoff pot? Indicating that the G5 conferences do not deserve an equal seat at the table. I totally agree with his G5 take and why should Notre Dame have a seat at the table?

After years of stability Dabo just lost his DC to Oklahoma, his AD to Miami and his OC is rumored to be the #1 candidate at UVA. But come west? I don't see it. And would UO pony up $9M per annum plus incentives?

Does anyone think that Dan is or should be in the mix?

Great post. Brown was never a great college QB. He was average at BC and average at Oregon. Mario went 4-3 in 2020. Blown out twice this season with an inexplicable loss at Stanford. As Miami is about to learn, Mario is a champ at recruiting and a chump as a head coach. Mario was never going to take Oregon to Final 4, never. After the last 2 hires I hope Mullens is not the only one involved with this hire?

Turned around Temple and did a good job with a sanctioned Baylor. Where did he coach before Temple? Does he have any ties at all to the west? Why could he and Brody who was a big time hire at the time, not fit? IMO, the perfect candidate is Lane Kiffin.

SDS is in the process of building an on campus stadium. SDS is in the process of spending more on football than many of our Pac-12 brothers. SDS is doing its best to sell itself to the B12 along with Boise and CO ST.

Luke Fickell, whose Cincy team will be joining Aranda in the B12, has his team into the final 4. So why not Fickell instead of Aranda? Chip can't recruit. Venables, after years of being the DC at Clemson is returning to OK to coach a blue blood. That's 1 guy on a staff who has been with him for years. Dabo with his consistency with assistant coaches makes Saint Nick's run at Bama look even more remarkable. Turn over in staff year after year and I will not be surprised if new OC O'Brien leaves for an HC job after this season. Nick just keeps on trucking. Look at the dudes Bama lost to the NFL last season and yet, Bama is the 2021 #1 Playoff seed.

Love the thought but NO WAY! He is making over $9+M a year. Has a beautiful home in Clemson and a lake house of equal quality 40 minutes away. He is southern born and bred. And he is in rich recruiting ground recruiting to a brand he labored to build. Might as well aim for Nick Saban. Clemson will be back in 2022 with a more experienced OL, will win the ACC and advance to the playoff.

Oregon, USC and UW are in Forbes top 25 revenue producing football programs.

MY RECOMMENDATION? SELL! The U will earn an average, at best, ROI.
