New AP Poll - Ducks Stay at No. 9 - Kind of A Crime!
As both Idaho and Boise continue to win, our wins will look better. As we keep winning and improving we also will look better. Sept rankings are meaningless. Just win baby. Just keep winning.

Words Alone Cannot Describe the Utter Ridiculousness of this Face Book Post
I have a very hard time believing that this Pac? can get more $$ without Oregon and UW or Stanford. C'mon man.

Words Alone Cannot Describe the Utter Ridiculousness of this Face Book Post
I'll say this, they could have joined the MWC and been just another member. This way, they have the same teams but they feel better about themselves cuz now they are the leaders. I don't see any chance the 2 Bay area schools leave the ACC to rejoin. Nor any former to leave Big12. The Pac? is now definitely a G5 league and gives them an outsiders chance of making playoffs. I don't believe the conference winner will get an auto bid, but will certainly help towards being highest ranked G5. They still need to convince a media company to put out at least $100 M/ year. Where's that gonna come from?

Words Alone Cannot Describe the Utter Ridiculousness of this Face Book Post
The point of a conference in today's world is to have something people would actually pay money for. There are no sizeable tv markets anywhere on that map. The future of college football is the joining of the best B1G teams together with the best SEC teams into a true super conference. Add ND and a few ACC teams and that's it. The remaining schools will have to scramble to make a home from the remaining ashes. With the advent of paying players now, I don't think many G5 schools will be able to keep up. And call it what you will, the Pac? is now truly a G5 conference.

Four Mt. West Teams Set to Join Pac2?
The announcement at this moment, prior to the instate rivalry games, is hysterical. Talk about throwing gas on the fire! Just what the Ducks and Dawgs need, a little more incentive to put on a beat down! Now I really want to see us put up at least 50! At the end of the day, this new conference of G5 teams will still need some media group to put up a lot of $$. At least a $100M/year. Most likely a streaming platform at that. Is that even likely? Whatever sympathy was left for the old P12 is gone now. No one wanted them last year, how does adding G5 schools make them more desirable. This is truly a desperate move by peops who can't accept the reality of the truth, no one wants you!

Vomiting in my Mouth: They're "Committed to Resuming the Civil War Series in ALL Sports"
I wouldn't get too excited about this just yet. Of course the OSU AD wants the game, they need to fill their little stadium. As for Mullens, what else can he say. It's bad politics to come out and say no. No reason to irritate Salem unnecessarily. And believe it or not, a lot of Oregonians like the idea. I don't see the river rats having much success down the road. Let them talk big now. I would LOVE to see our offense get their mojo going and put up 50 this week. A perfect place to get it together.

Oregon Fans Reappraise Expectations, or NOT?
Thanks for the in-season perspective Jon J. We are 2-0 and still gelling as a team. What we are seeing is our O-line and qb adapting to each other as the season begins. We didn't realize how valuable Bo was with those experienced O-line guys in his 2nd year here. We are experiencing growing pains and frustration. I don't think they are in-sync in reading the defense yet. We need Bedford and Iuli to get healthy. I do appreciate we gave up no sacks in the 2nd half. Also, our defense made key stops in the 2nd half none more important then when we punted back to them with 4:44 left in the 4th of a tied game. We forced a 3 and out and got the ball back with 3:44. That was big. I'm not wanting to be confrontational, but I am a little disappointed in the general negative response of OBD to us starting out 2-0. I thought this was a fan site. Are we only happy if we go undefeated? Every game a blow out? Apparently we too have been believing all the preseason hype! The season is young. The O-line will improve. The team will get better chemistry. Dillion Gabriel has talent, but he is not Bo Nix. Heisman? Not hardly. But 10 or 11 wins, maybe. Hang in there fellow OBD fans. Enjoy the season. We've waited a long off-season for this. They're getting better. I promise.

Oregon Football: The Sky is Not Falling
This is why we play the games. In life, anything can happen. If you look at the game stats, and not the score, we massively outplayed them. We even had waaayy more penalties then them. We got beat by 2 well designed, well executed, well timed trick plays. And we shot ourselves in the foot time and again. I'm surprised there haven't been more comments about DL's play calling. 0 for 2 on 4th down? Fake punt? Using a pretty vanilla offensive game plan... Yes, I would have preferred a big win, but I'll take the W. It's a long season with several potential tough games. Don't sleep on Purdue or Maryland. I'm glad football is back, and I'm happy to watch them all one week at a time.

Husky Fans May Still be Sleepless in Seattle
Though apparently they had over 66,000 for that first game.

How Does the Pac-12 Philosophy Differ...?
You make a good point HDuck. Seems the same to me. Guess it wasn't good enough cuz the 1 year deal did not get a 2nd year. Apparently the Mt. West doesn't want either school. So, where do the lonely hearts clubs go to play now? Become independent? I have little sympathy.

Husky Fans May Still be Sleepless in Seattle
But being on the BTN means a blackout in Seattle. Nice.

Look at the Bright Side With This Game...
While comments about the O-line are deserved, I would like to remind all that Pickard is a walk-on and this was his first start. Comparing him to Pancho may not be completely fair at this point. It was good he got the reps, cuz it's gonna be a long season. It takes some time for the big guys to learn to work together. And Idaho's defense was slated to be very solid coming in to this game, and they showed it. The reality is we have a huge target on our back. We will get everybody's best effort. No team in the B1G wants us to come in and be successful right off. Idaho should get credit for playing balls out, and for giving all our "blue-chip" players a wake up call. I'm waiting to see the improvement from wk1 to wk2. Let's get er done!

Look at the Bright Side With This Game...
Well, they say the biggest improvement is from week 1 to week 2. Hang on to your hats boys, this is gonna be a fun ride, and it's just getting started.

Comcast Test: Were They Honest?
Thanks GD, I'm cutting cable also. Been with them forever, paying over $300/month. No more. I already have to pay $10/month extra to not be able to watch BTN. Thanks Charles and all the others for your tips. Go Ducks! Whip those potato heads!

Comcast/Xfinity Blacking Out West Coast B10 Games Due to Carrier Dispute
I too will have BTN blacked out. I'm pretty angry. I'm already paying an extra $10/month for the sports package to get BTN. Definitely time to dump comast/xfinity and find something new! Ugh!!

Interesting Article on What a Team Needs to do to be Considered for an At-large Berth in the CFP:
Seems a pretty good and accurate preseason picks. Oregon looks in good stead in all categories.

Too Many Articles Posted? Your Feedback PLEASE....
It's great to read the articles but I don't read them all, maybe 50-60% Also, most articles don't illicit/inspire comments. I also figure if someone already shared a thought I have, no need to repeat it. I trust your judgment Charles. This site has so kept me informed and I've learned so much. Keep it up. Also, is too much better than too little?

It’s Time for Duck Fans to Yell-O
While the idea of fan unison sounds good, it won't happen for one main reason: we have too many color combinations. Our weekly changing of the uniforms is great, but it gives fans too many choices in apparel selection. Penn St has like 1 color choice. Mich maybe 2. If the games were all at 12:30 each sat it might be easier. But night games and cooler, even wet weather make it tough cuz how many coats and sweatshirts can a person own? I have tried to comply. I own 3 different color rain ponchos and multiple sweatshirts but I have to admit, the rebellious part of me hates being told what to do or what to wear. As long as Autzen remains loud and noisy, I really don't care what we all wear.

Get Ready to be Intimidated
Great idea. What could possibly go wrong? Mixing crazed students and alcohol and putting them directly behind visiting teams! This lasts until someone(s) get hurt. Maybe by the 3rd game? The most vocal crazy types will want to be here. And we've all seen how well campus police control crazies! Well, bring it on. We Ducks are tough. Maybe Lagarrette Blount can head up security. 😉

NFL Doesn't Work Out? Join a NASCAR Pit Crew!
Great story. What an opportunity and adventure. Love it. To think, I could have been a pit crew star.... Oh well. I guess I'll have to settle for 44 years with the same beautiful woman!

The Sky Has Fallen? How it Happens for Oregon…
A lot will depend on our qb play. And everyone staying healthy. If there is a chance for DG to win the Heisman, how do we sit him in the 4th? I think it will be interesting to see how the coaches sub players this year. In the past 2 years there was lots of rotating guys in and very few guys had high snap counts. We are pretty deep all across the board. Could see a lot of guys playing. That would help keep everyone healthy. I think tOSU, Mich, Maryland and Wisconsin are the games I most fear. But I too like 11-1, possibly losing to the Chip Kelly run offense in a close one.
