  1. Come on guys that was long ago. The dawgs have moved on from their cheating past, let's all just forget and move along.
  2. Go to this site https://imgflip.com/memesearch?q=dog First bring the picture to your desktop front page. Then go to create and load the picture in the create section. Then make it say what you want or just create your own Meme. You can also just select from the multitude of pictures to keep it simple.
  3. Oh that one, tell me more about the other 11 of the 12 straight! What is exciting for us and scary for the dawgs is the scenario we are most likely seeing unfold tomorrow. It is a confirmation game for the Ducks and the Dawgs. It will confirm the Ducks are entering an elite status, and 3rd straight going onto more, and the dawgs are entering another decade of irrelevance after almost breaking through. The other scenario is the Ducks are still just on the cusp of greatness and the dawgs still almost treading water at mediocrity, but that isn't going to be the outcome, go Ducks!
  4. And Yale has the most college championships at 18, Princeton the third most at 15, and, surprisingly Minnesota alone at 10 with 6. If you go back far enough history is kind of irrelevant, except for those who live in the past like the dawgs. According to most records the dawgs own half a championship, and like their mascot, it smells bad. I agree it would be nice to see the rivalry to where it should be, in Oregon's favor, but all that matters is the recent past, and most importantly this weekend, GO DUCKS!
  5. It is funny I don't just want our Ducks to beat the dawgs. Beating the dawgs will be satisfying and enjoyable don't get me wrong. For me I want to see the Cougars beat the dawgs in husky stadium. I admit, my detest for their program goes to a level where I understand the pain and angst a loss to the cougs creates. The dawg and the coug programs really come down to who wins that game. Neither program is really all that good. Losing that game is extremely painful for the cougs, but would be the nail in the coffin for the dawg program. Of course, not to worry dawg fans, there is always the offseason projections of greatness they have learned to love. Our Ducks can focus on going 1-0 this weekend, but I am looking ahead to the dawgs getting two losses as the season closes out! I have to admit, that is how I roll.
  6. Carwell is the one who makes me begin to be comfortable about next year with the running backs. When you see some players it is just evident they have that edge needed to make a difference, how big a difference will be fun to see. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cardwell pop off a 200 yd. game tomorrow. I would also be satisfied with a solid day and no turnovers. The kid has a huge upside, like many players we have seen over the last couple years. There have been rumblings about Byron and now we are seeing what that is all about. I also want to see what the talk is about our next great qb, but I suppose that will have to wait. For now we have solid leadership on the field. It may not be the flashy, explosive NFL type of players, but they are taking us where we all want. We just have to sit back and enjoy this transitionary group of players make a very nice run, right over the dawgs! There might be an occasional beam of light coming off the field as one of the young guys gives us a flavor of what is ahead, but we need to stay focused, and supportive of who we have and are now. They are our Ducks and doing great things!
  7. My bet, the dawgs don't lay down in the end zone again, but they will do something stupid, just the way they roll! I do hope the Ducks look back on that 70 point loss, and make good on that history, some day. Has Cristobal really had a big beat down since Nevada 77-6? That same year we crushed Colorado and then barely beat the dawgs. I don't want to see that repeat.
  8. Kind of like uw is a top school, the details get tough. Completely understandable, putting Bobby Hurley Ranks as one of the Top Coaches According To Pac-12 Players never would have fit.
  9. I can't remember which one of the 12 straight that was, help me out.
  10. That is the problem with the dawgs, we don't try and match or copy, just annihilate at every opportunity. Dawgs, 'They can't match this, what just happened?'
  11. A suspect #1 in passing defense and #95 in rushing defense, what should we do, what should we do? The running game opens up the pass, I would say we will see plenty of running plays to at least begin the game. We also lead them in turnover margin and this may play a key role this Saturday. We need to create turnovers, and protect the ball. The dawgs have given up 8 picks. Time for lots of pressure and McKinley to get back on the INT train!
  12. You said what? The Ducks are doing exactly what Coach Mario Cristobal set out to do; have an explosive offense with a tough, physical presence at the line of scrimmage. love it!
  13. I would put 16-4 first only one time a year. Here we go again, the dawgs putting themselves way too high on the importance scale. Some things never change, like the losses!
  14. It doesn't look like he ever even visited. If he hasn't, get him out and visit Hayward Field, along with Autzen and the campus. He did visit usc, university of south Compton, and didn't bite. He may want to focus on track and not go to a school with such a competitive football program. Also might like getting beat by Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss every year? It is a tough decision leaving home and moving across the country.
  15. Lastly uw is hanging their hat on their research component of the university, right? This because their football team isn't good, their men have never won a NCAA Championship, 'claimed a couple,' but never have the men won a single NCAA championship in anything. The women have won a few, the women have even won the boxing title, who wears the pants, you ask? Also the University of Oregon has a new Science building, well not really a building, it is the only thing named after Penny and Phil Knight and cost over $1 billion. So the academic 'prowess' they hang their hat on is tenuous as best. If you aren't aware of this most amazing donation, so far, to the University of Oregon, check it out. https://accelerate.uoregon.edu/sites/accelerate1.uoregon.edu/files/updated_knight_campus_fact_sheet.pdf
  16. It would give Huard a chance to play against NFL caliber players, and feel what it is like.
  17. I hope he wins the Heisman! I mean the golden arm award would be great, but while we're talking about it, we need somebody on this team to rise above where we are now to get to the end goal, why not Anthony!
  18. If that is their sales pitch, then it all makes sense.
  19. The same US world news ranking they use to justify Lakes take, when not looking at strictly research universities, puts the dawgs in the middle of the road of the Pac-12, basically where they belong. Not sure how many of the football team are drawn to uw because of their research prowess, maybe I am wrong? They won't be doing to much winning either, on the recruiting trail, or on the field anytime soon.
  20. I think Darth Vader said it best, 'the force is strong with this one!'
  21. Great question, I think it comes from leadership. At Alabama the leadership is top down, the coach is the overwhelming leader who guides the team to greatness, demands it, expects it, while knowing exactly what it takes. Many teams it comes from the Heisman type player, who just wills his team to greatness. Not sure we have that player on the field, but that is the beauty of watching the next few weeks. We are going to see somebody, on some team, make a story for the ages. Will it come from the Ducks, that is why we watch! I certainly hope so, who could it be? This is why I loved the 2019 team so much. Herbert and Dye didn't lead that team to a National title, but they did get everything possible out of that team, what a story!
  22. Agree the youth may be a weakness, but they also may not know they should lose. We have a bunch of student athletes who, probably, haven't lost very much. The question is do they already know what it took to win so much? Even if they lose, with youth they can learn and get better, stronger for next time. Georgia is a very good example where youth has had to learn the hard way over and over. It seems the program has finally realized how strong and tough you need to be. Can Oregon realize this without the learning curve, they have the opportunity, stay tuned!
  23. Much like the movie business, the big budget programs get the attention and the big venues. The big budget movies aren't always the best. Sometimes there are amazing movies that don't have the big budget. Rocky was one of the greatest, only 1 million spent, but earned over $150 million and best picture. Can a program create a Rocky type story and outcome in this playoff format? It seems the powers won't let that happen. Maybe, just maybe, Cincinnati can be that program and knock off Georgia? What a story that would be, much like the rise of Oregon's Football Program, back in the day. Of course I would love to see Oregon be that program too, and win it all as an underdog this season, both seem improbable, but possible?
  24. They got it right because they didn't start until this week and will adjust through the end of the season. I also think they got it right because Oregon has a strong win on the road. As stated, many of these teams will have a chance to win big, maybe not Cincinnati but the underling saga continues. Strength of schedule and finishing strong will rule. Even Georgia needs to keep winning big, and can't stumble too bad. I actually love the idea of playing Georgia two games in a row, talk about bright lights on the program! Oregon is set up pretty well, but needs to realize the opportunity is still an earned opportunity. That gift will only be achieved if they can beat teams which will be gunning for them while they get better. Not a small task, but well within reach, Go Ducks!
