  1. "We have the resources to get THE best coaches for Washington's women's programs. We will continue to be competitive in women's sports. I mean look at our history, really look. The mens programs have never, I mean never amounted to anything. At this time we will continue to cycle through coaches for the football program to perpetuate the delusional fanbases thinking, but we can't compete!" Jen Cohen There fixed it, the truth.
  2. I completely agree, there is something comforting about having a lead at the end of the game, even early in the 3rd quarter. This team doesn't seem to understand the fans need for this type of game. Some people see conspiracy theories all around, and I think we may have another here. I tend to think it is another plot to give Cristobal a chance to practice on his game, time management skills. It is a brilliant plan to work on this when games aren't really at risk, except at the farm where it went terribly wrong. Cristobal has Feld help him control himself on the sideline. We all see Feld shadow Cristobal making sure he isn't on the field or too verbose with the refs. This job is extended to the players who also need help. Feld is also seen pulling in players off the field when needed. I am not sure who keeps the games close for Cristobal, but somebody is out there occasionally calling bonehead plays or messing things up to keep it close. I expect this to stop as the we play better competition and the Cristobal training program can comes to an end. Could be happening, right?
  3. Those little guys who run the pylon cams have to be expensive too. I suppose those take a 'set day' to get up and running? In some ways I feel sorry for George, or just expect a lot after the joke Larry was. He should be pushing for this! I will give credit where credit is due, well done Canzano!
  4. Love this, maybe, things to think about, when you have time. 1 word, 'Execute!' You know what to do, do it. You have practiced it many times, play like you know it. You know what the right thing to do is, make the right choice.
  5. Love that young man, the struggles and then fight within this guy is admirable. A champion, and surefire success in the future with what he has learned.
  6. I agree if the dawgs get a decent coach they should be preseason Pac-12 champs again, maybe even predicted to go 12-0. The preseason isn't lost if they can just nail this coach thing, again.
  7. I am sure they will be lining up for the chance!
  8. I am not saying he is or isn't on the list, just wondering why he wouldn't be. When the pundits have all these wild guesses and then leave off somebody who has stated they have interest makes you wonder how valid the lists are. Of course, as I have stated, I don't have a lot of faith in Bohn to make this decision. I also think having at least two teams who are contenders west of the Mississippi would be a good thing for us and the Pac-12. I suppose with little faith in Bohn and the pundits, it doesn't surprise Del Rio isn't on any lists, even sc's.
  9. The USC head coaching search is ramping up, and at least several coaches in the NFL have been linked to the vacancy that opened up in September when the Trojans parted ways with Clay Helton. Washington Football Team defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio was the latest to be asked about the USC vacancy after once stating years ago that he would be interested in the job, but Del Rio largely brushed aside the question. “I’m going to channel Mike Tomlin right now," Del Rio told reporters Thursday. "Did he shut it down or what? I feel really good about being the defensive coordinator for Washington.” Del Rio, a former USC linebacker and third-round pick in the 1985 NFL Draft, said on ESPN radio in September 2019 that while he fully supported Helton at the time, he would have interest if the job was to ever become vacant. "If and when there ever was anything, yeah I would be interested," Del Rio told ESPN.
  10. Oh, that is the reason ESPN only had two cameras at the game! Also the reason Pittman tweeted so little respect! Keep up the disrespect, and we will just keep winning!
  11. Thanks for putting into color what was black and white for my brain! I actually saw the qb running down the field at the time, I was thinking what is he doing!, but now it all makes sense. Our qb isn't just a running back, he is a blocking back. With his size he makes a pretty impressive runner and blocker. As my interest and enthusiasm for AB grows, I only hope he can last the season. This offense, along with the defense, is becoming a force few appreciate or understand. Thanks for the excellent analysis where we can all better appreciate the dynamic offense Moorhead is giving us. I look forward to better understanding the wins going forward, Go Ducks!
  12. I still don't know why Jack Del Rio isn't in the conversation. He expressed interest in the past, and is coaching at Washington which is 3-6, after beating Tampa Bay this weekend. He actually has a winning record as a pro coach and has the cache sc needs. It seems most programs go after the new shiny thing, and Fickell is just that. One problem is he won't be available until late, late in the recruiting cycle. Kind of a crazy situation, but picking off a DC from a pro team with a losing record would seem to be easier than a coach who is white hot and will go deep into the bowl season.
  13. Glad we won, and every time I see a ref looking at the little, bitty screen I have to laugh. The discussion we have had about refs and those screens they look at, for the most part, has given me a prospective where I have to laugh. I will admit, sometimes it makes me shake my head is frustration, like on this occasion, but one must laugh or the tears of frustration are inevitable.
  14. I want Mario to stay and when he looks at Chip and sees where slick is, the money might not be everything to the guy. When you chase money, you end up with money, but as long as your ultimate goal is within sight, why leave? I tend to think he is a straight up guy and wants to bring a title to Oregon. Just my take, but you also don't want to disappoint Uncle Phil. I can't imagine slick is on the top of his call back list. When you talk about power brokers in the sports world, our benefactor is way up there.
  15. Great catch, I mean find, and it could mean anything. I will say he comes off as a bit of a diva to me, at times. I hope he isn't meaning his the lack of catches is a form of disrespect, but it may. I will say the wide receiver room is full, healthy and is only going to get fuller.
  16. I think dominating at home is just one of the legs on a stool of becoming an elite program. You have to be able to win big games, check, Cristobal won at the shoe, and Rose Bowl. He can get a team ready for big games, against elite teams, which bodes well for the playoffs, if we make it. A program also has to dominate at home. Teams need to know you can't come into their house and expect anything other than a loss. This is part of the intimidation factor, critical to an elite program. The final leg is being able to beat any team you are expected to beat. This coming weekend gives us another chance to build on this aspect of becoming an elite program. So far we don't quite have this edge. I look forward to this team making that step, after a stumble at the farm. I think this is a tough goal and road to complete this type of program focus. The last step will let every team in the Pac-12 know Oregon is the alpha program. This weeks game, away, against a good team gives the 2021 team a chance to yell it loud. 'We are the dominant program' and watch out going forward! That will be the final leg which will allow this program to go where it is bound to be, Go Ducks!
  17. Thanks for putting into words what I felt as I watched this young student athlete continue to impress and create excitement for his time ahead of him!
  18. I cut and pasted this to Larry, I mean George. We need somebody who can lobby those in power and get us a tv contract!
  19. I like his, I give up, lay down, instead of getting smashed by Thibs. You always hear about qb's staying in the pocket, throwing at the last second, taking the hit, not de Laura. Jayden could have been a dawg or a cat laying on the field like that, I suppose the dawgs lay down in the end zone.
  20. Everyone had a great time, it sounded like everyone had a great time. I know our prospects and recruit’s families had an awesome time. This is what really mattered, the recruits and families, big time recruits!
  21. AB threw a beautiful pass with the receiver moving last night, we just need more of them, and less turnovers. I think what we are finally realizing is AB's biggest role is as a run threat. I never would have thought he was going to be such a runner, after all his knee injuries. The ironic thing is this is what we wanted, wondered why it didn't happen, with Justin, and now we wonder why he is running so much!
  22. What if the cougs don't win tonight?
  23. Only a matter of time, here comes the Natty!
  24. I'm afraid it is even worse, it goes back to.......... you won't believe it..........Don James. Don James made sure no one would win at Mountlake again. His legacy by many of the uninformed fans is just that uninformed. He conspired with Phil Knight, of course, and a string of powerful decision makers who will go nameless, to protect their nameless names. It is my understanding Don James will come back, yes that happens, at the WSU Dawg game to conspire with the coachless cougs to end this crazy streak of the dawgs at Husky Stadium. Look for James on the coug sideline, or at least calling plays for the cougs from one of the boxes those crafty cougs rent! I bet it all makes sense why Petersen left, right!
