  1. I remember Bigby as being a 4 star. Don't know why she got so little playing time. Oregon has two 4 stars from Arizona: wing Jennah Isasi and post Kennedy Basham (6'7"). As of November 2021, Gray was nationally ranked at 7, VanSlooten 13, Isasi 35 and Basham 59.
  2. 5 Star Oregon Recruits Chance Gray and Grace VanSlooten played like 5 Stars at the McDonald All America Game. Gray is an excellent 3 point shooter and ball handler. VanSlooten is a solid shooter, rebounder and defender. Both are athletic and very good basketball players.
  3. Only Nyara was a scoring threat of those leaving.
  4. Stanford only. They could win it all again. Deep bench with multiple 3 point shooters.
  5. Dugalic was injured most the year. When she returned in middle February she was usually the first substitute. Of the 5 5stars last year she was the most physical with potential to develop into WNBA player.
  6. Mikesell was used as point guard after Paopao injury. She is best as a shooting guard.
  7. Very poor 3 point shooting throughout the season. Sherr, Watson and Parrish were not offensive threats this year. Ducks will need a consistent 3 point shooting guard and consistent 3 point shooting from Paopao and Rogers, if they are to be a powerhouse next year.
  8. as I posted in another on this forum: Lady Ducks need to get 3 point shooters that are a consistent threat, especially at the 3 guard. There were too many games that the 3 point percentage was in the teens - all in losses. Pappao and Rogers were hot and cold 3 point shooters. Parrish was very inconsistent 3 point and 2 point shooter. The Ducks recruiting class two years ago was ranked #1. It turns out so far, that none but PaoPao is a scoring threat. Parrish so far is not. Watson, Scherr are good defenders and rebounders. Angela Dugalic is a good rebounder, good defender and scorer around the basket and out front. I was disappointed when she transferred; not so much on Chavez's transfer. Oregon's 2020 recruiting class is now ranked #2 behind UCLA. (It was #1 until the number 1 point guard committed to UCLA.) Oregon class has two point guards who are top scorers in high school, Chance Gray (Ohio, 5 star ) and Jennah Isai (Arizona, 4 star) . A 6'3" forward Grace VanSlooten (Ohio and now IMG, Florida, 5 star) and a 6'7" center Kennedy Basham (Arizona, 4 star). Ducks have a 2023-24 commitment from Amar Whiting a high scoring point guard (Idaho). Women's b-ball teams with 3 or more 3 point consistent shooters (starters or subs) are now the top tier teams. Kelly's interview after the Belmont loss acknowledged the Ducks must improve in this area. I think his next two recruiting classes may address this.

  10. I hope she is in the game more and not on the bench at the end of the game.
  11. Not playing Prince and Kyei more is boggling.
  12. Don't know why Sedona was keep on the bench most of the second half. Watson is not a scorer outside of 4 feet yet she played while Sedona sat on the bench.
  13. Finally - Sabally and Prince were on the floor together most of the game.
  14. When Prince starts with Sabally and when both are on the court together the Ducks scoring and rebounding improve. Kyei is a scoring and rebounding plus when she is on the court. Kyei is a solid force on both ends of the court.
  15. Sedona Prince and Grantland Rice quote -- In the second half Sedona was guarding Kennedy Brown (OSU talented center) left side bottom of the lane. Ball was out front above the key on the right. Brown stumbled to the floor. Sedona immediately reached down and pulled Kennedy back to standing. They had battled each other the whole game. In previous games she has helped opposing players get up from the floor. Her sportsmanship is an honor to her and the Ducks. This Grantland Rice quote immediately came to mind: When the one Great Scorer comes to right your name, He marks not that you won or lost but how you played the game.
