Any kid choosing Colorado is actually choosing Coach Sanders.
When he jumps ship (I give it 2 years tops) Colorado will be right back in the same boat they have been in for 20+ years.
Enjoy it now Buff's... it will be short lived.
Oregon on the other side has established itself. I feel Oregon will be relevant for many years to come.

I feel 21 is low.
Colorado barely squeaked by CSU at home.
That same CSU team was blown out by WSU on their own turf.
I just hope Autzen is rockin'. If it is... Colorado will be exposed. Ducks win BIG!

I can not disagree with anything Noonie71 said about UW coaches or recruiting... who knew there was a Husky actually pays attention.

I feel they will both become regional reporters. Wilner will cover the SW with a heavy focus on the Arizona teams.
Canzano will focus on the PNW and follow the four NW schools.
They will likely do this until it is clear from their followers that change is needed. Unfortunately, for WSU and OSU I don't feel like this will take much time. Those two schools will not garner much national attention in 3-4 years.

TT is now in. Let's see if he does anything besides hand the ball off or go backwards.
Looked good and collected that first drive. Hope he can finally gain some confidence.

Miami isn't even in the top 5 of teams to root against for me. But, I'll cheer for Miami-Ohio if that is what my one of my fellow Duck fans wants me to do!

Sucks for the Beavs... At least they'll have one of the nicer stadiums in the MtnWest.

Joshua, I appreciate and agree with most all your thoughts.
My main concern is injuries. I foresee an especially chippy season in the final year of the Pac-12. I do not put it past any of these opposing teams throwing cheap shots at our key players. Bo went down against UW last year on what I feel was a questionable shot to his lower body. It could happen again and it would not shock me. This team has a huge upside. But, it is only one key injury away from an average season.
My prediction. Bo and Coach Lanning know this and will not put him in any overly compromised positions that could lead to it. Ducks win the final Pac12 championship having beaten Washington twice. Make the playoffs and lose in the first round to Kirby and the Dawgs 42-38.

Utah has become one of my favorite programs... fans included.
Prior to joining the Pac12 I found many of their fans to be obnoxious, entitled, and ignorant. But, the first couple years in the league seems to have had a humbling effect on them. They have now figured out how to be enthusiastic and proud without being belligerent and clueless. I now have respect for both the program and their fans in general. I think they will own the Big 12 and look forward to bowl/playoff game against them in the future. Go Utes!

I looked up some numbers re: how bad OSU and WSU joining the Mountain West might be. Currently, the PAC-12 has a 250 million dollar media deal; OSU and WSU both get a bit under $21 million for that. Currently, the Mountain West actually has a better media deal: $270 million for 12 teams (not sure if media revenue is shared equally in that conference). If they took OSU and WSU and allowed equal shares, that would give OSU and WSU over $19.25 million per year. Not much of a step down. OSU reportedly took in a total of about $35 million in athletic department funding last year, so they have the capability to pull in quite a bit of extra money beyond media deals if boosters and athletic apparel sales keep up. So, maybe it won't be nearly as catastrophic for them as most of us thought--maybe they will be able to continue to have a very good coaching staff and hold on to/continue to recruit good players. But then, how hard will it be to attract very good players in a non Power 5 conference?
That $270mil is for the term of the deal. Payout is only $4-$6 million annually per school.

Gary Campbell was a rock of stability and a great mentor and coach. He is the reason the Ducks are on this list.
I see some similar traits in Coach Locklyn. Not as snazzy of a dresser... But, very focused on his boys in the RB room and wants them to succeed both on and off the field. I do not see the Ducks falling off this list under his watch.

To me only the past 15 years should matter when creating lists like these. I do not have a problem with the Ducks being below any of the CURRENT B1G teams listed above them simply because we have not seen enough head to head matchups to truly know. But, there is no way USC should be at #3. My list would have the Ducks at #4, UW at #5, USC at #6

Kind of funny that this article comes from a Trojan site.

Cal may just drop sports all together. Ha!

Looks like we will be getting that promised home game with tOSU after all. Then more rounds of the same. And playing Wisconsin in some venue other than the Rose Bowl. When you look back at the Oregon v B1G match ups in the last 15 years, there have been some great games, with the Ducks ending up on top in most of them.
As far as the new expanded playoffs go, to see the B1G and SEC put 4 or even 5 teams in each year is not a stretch. Oregon will be a good bet most years. As a born and bred west coaster, with extended stops at Cal, Arizona and finally Oregon, I hate to see the PAC die. But survival dictated this move as did the SoCal schools breaking ranks. And as far as U$C goes, karma sure is a beach.
My thoughts to the 'T'. Well said!

While I would have preferred the Pac have survived. I have said from early on that the UO needed to do what was right for the UO. I feel that is what they did.
Time to make B1G football fun to watch!
