  1. I've tried from another device, but same problem. Facebook is notoriously uncommunicative. No phone number, no chat, no nothing except a suggestion to do a search for the problem! And that leads to people who use FB trying (usually without success) to figure out how to solve it.
  2. Unfortunately, there's no phone number, and when I try the "forgot password" it sends me a number code to use to get a new one, then when I put it in, it tells me the number is wrong. 😢
  3. (I'll understand if this thread is deleted.) So, I had to clear my caches and cookies to solve an email problem. But in doing so I couldn't get into many sites, including this one. I'm obviously on this on now, but I have to login anew most times. The problem is Facebook will not let me back on there. I try to get a new password, but each time they send me code number to set up a new password, and every time I try to use it and they say the code number is wrong. So I've kind of given up. I really want to get on to my Facebook page and not have to set up a new one. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  4. Will anyone be attending? (I went to a coaches clinic long ago in a different life.) https://x.com/oregonfootball/status/1899203344725688626/photo/1
  5. There's a funny portion of the Bill Maher show where he talks about streaming, and how it is newer but not better. Parts of it made me laugh out loud. I'd post a link, but there is a brief political touch and a few foul words, so I'll just suggest going to Youtube and doing a search for New Rule: Newer, Not Better | Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO), if you'd like to check it out. It's a little under 9 minutes long.
  6. Good ole Sarge. 🙂 Of course there was also Lieutenant Rip Masters.
  7. Lassie (during the Jeff & Porky years) and Rin Tin Tin.
  8. I agree. Which is why I don't watch basketball these days. I root for the Ducks, but when they're playing I just check the score about every half hour. That's it.
  9. I went to a small school in CT, no football team, so basketball was THE game at school (well, except for the year the soccer team won the state championship). I can remember a kid who could make shots from almost half court. My then boyfriend/eventual husband did hook shots, so of course I thought those were very exciting. Traveling was called. Double dribbles and carrying the ball were called. Dunking was not yet a thing, but hanging on the rim would have been called. Times have changed, and so has basketball.
  10. Could be. But I've read often enough that Mom's wishes prevailed that this could still be a "who knows" yet decision.
  11. Oregon has a club hockey team, which plays some teams from other states. Doubt there will ever be an official UO hockey team any time soon, however.
  12. I remember several of the assistant coaches at Oregon under Rich Brooks were happy to stay as assistants at Oregon. They liked being position coaches, and working closely with the players. Back then I'm sure their salaries were nowhere near what assistant coaches can be paid today, but they liked what they were doing and they liked living in Eugene. Times change.
  13. Received a belated Christmas present from my daughter yesterday. She'd heard a guy on podcast saying he'd attended the B1G Conference Championship game and when it was over went onto the field and scooped a lot of the confetti into his backpack, and he'd said someone to anyone who emailed him asking for some. 🙂
  14. I think the thought was that, aside from carrying on the tradition, the Ducks would have an OCC game that would not involve much traveling,
  15. Since it was at the end of a 3-day weekend, some people may have been on the road rather than watching the game.
  16. Josh Allen looked as if he was near tears after tonight's game. Can't blame him, it was so close. However, I was rooting for KC, because I think the idea of a three-peat is exciting. That said, I would have been happy for the Bills had they won. (You can probably tell that I don't bet on games. 😉 )
  17. I'm thinking maybe the Eagles, if they were to offer him OC, because that's getting even closer to his home state of New Hampshire. (Watch, now that I've said that, if he goes anywhere, it will be to a team 1,000+ miles from NH! 😄)
  18. A fully enclosed, climate-controlled stadium with a transparent roof. Nice.
  19. I had intended to watch the entire game, but ended up watching the second half, because with the 4:30 start time I got busy doing other things and hadn't thought about the game until I realized I'd already missed the first half!
  20. It always annoyed me the way he treated the local press--but sucked up to ESPN, Fox Sports, etc. I always wondered how he treated the LA press--not as snarkily as he treated Eugene's, I'll guess.
  21. Yes, I just consider the source of the remark and go on my way. 🙂
  22. I appreciate what CK did for Oregon when he was here, but I was never a fan of his personality and I'm still not.
  23. Isn't there a lunatic fringe at almost any, if not all, schools, just sitting, biding their time, waiting to call for a coach's head?
  24. I am shocked and sad. 😢 Kansas Volleyball Names Matt Ulmer 7th Head Coach in Program History - University of Kansas KUATHLETICS.COM LAWRENCE, Kan. – Matt Ulmer, a proven winner at the highest level with a track record of successful player development...
