I appreciate what CK did for Oregon when he was here, but I was never a fan of his personality and I'm still not.

Isn't there a lunatic fringe at almost any, if not all, schools, just sitting, biding their time, waiting to call for a coach's head?

My head spins at the thought of ranking beyond 3 games, so I'd put this year's Rose Bowl at #3 behind losing to (1) AUBURN (2010 NC), because that game was so close, and (2) TCU (2015 Alamo Bowl), because, well, the Ducks needed to RUN THE BALL (as in, run out the clock) in the second half, as was suggested by many, including the Duck players. That said, in regard to this year's Rose Bowl, well, sometimes crap happens, and in that game it happened to us. A Bad Day at Black Rock.

Wow, can't imagine ever asking my DH to give up his hobbies. Piano playing, tennis, and golf were fine. But now that I think about it, I did insist he give up bike riding after he had his second accident and was knocked unconscious. (He actually was okay with giving up the bike.)

While this is probably true, I think the coaches, players, and fans would rather not have had our souls cleansed and gained experience in quite such a fashion.

Certainly judging by all of your posts that I've read, I believe the UGA fans to be most civil.

There are things in life that you never really get over. The deep despair will go away, but the sadness will linger. Can't change the past, but we can look ahead. Right now I am eager for spring practices to start and to watch the spring game.That won't erase the RB loss, but it will help me to move forward. (It helps that, at heart, I am an optimist.)

When I was a little girl I was a fan of the Brooklyn (yes, Brooklyn) Dodgers, and the expression "Wait until next year" was heard often--until, ta da, they won the World Series (while still in Brooklyn!). So...just wait until next year!

Somehow I don't think there will be any problem getting the Ducks fired up. I'm guessing they've been fired up since the B1G Championship game.

My usual response to this sort of thing is, "Oh, what do they know?!"

For those of us who do the work to make Christmas happen, being able to skip parts of the four games to tend to that work was a nice solution.
