  1. PROWESS . . . NOT . . . IMG_1313.MOV
  2. I agree, but I think the landscape will drastically change again around 2030 when it seems a lot of conferences are ending their media delas around the same time.
  3. He probably banks in his 3's when playing BBall.
  4. Hopefully PK outlives that dud(e). Plus, I imagine that when it eventually happens, PK will be the gift that keeps on giving.
  5. The following comments were posted after a re-published 24/7 article post spring game "candid comments" on the Ducks. A couple of snippets from the article . . . "What I am most interested in seeing is how Dan Lanning has grown as a head coach. He was in over his head in the Washington and Oregon State games last year toward the end of those games. "As Bo Nix goes, so goes the Oregon offense. If he's healthy, they'll win pretty much every game they play, but the thing is, can he stay healthy? "As far as their overall season, I think they'll be a double-digit win team, but they've got some tough games. Give this team to a staff like Kyle Whittingham and they probably go undefeated, but he's at Utah, so we'll see. I like Lanning and think he's a guy who can be successful, but I think he needs a better staff. He's got some good coaches, but there are some important spots on the staff he needs to upgrade. I think he knows that and we'll see what happens after the season." On to the comments (not as delusional as in the past): 1) Going to be a fascinating year, watching how it all plays out. They figure to be undefeated when they come to Montlake in October - both of us in the top 10, maybe. But I wonder what happens with the program if they lose 3 or even 4 games this year. On the flip side, it's not a huge stretch to imagine them winning 11 games. 2) If Oregon loses 3-4 games before the December early signing period, one has to wonder how many recruits will leave and go elsewhere, especially if USC and Washington play in the conference championship game as predicted. 3) This seems like a tipping point year in the UW - UO rivalry. If we win strong this year, as we should have a good chance to do, our recruiting should continue to pick up alongside continued excellent coaching (hopefully). This may be our time to get the upper hand in the rivalry! We have great coaching, a great city, strong NIL, and an excellent team. I wouldn't be surprised in ten years for us to jump ahead of UO, or at least achieve parity starting last year. Kind of finishing the work that coach Pete started. 4) It sure could be a tipping point. Here's what I think we need to really tip the scales: a solid win, a significant uptick in Blue Chip recruiting, a continuing trend of recruits transferring out of Oregon, and maybe more chaos down there (loss of position coaches and even PK finally passing on). They have a recruiting steam engine, but it is not built on the same solid foundation as what the Huskies are building and I think sooner or later the Dawgs will overtake them.
  6. Proves the point that statistics show 87% of all statistics are meaningless.
  7. Ironic, if Riley left OK to avoid the SEC (which I think went into his thinking) this is his last chance at a conference CShip for quite a while. Good riddance a year early.
  8. Twenty Ducks named to East West Shrine Bowl 1000 247SPORTS.COM The East-West Shrine Bowl released its top 1,000 names to watch for the 2024 NFL Draft on Monday, with 20 Ducks making the list. Not so sure being in the top 2% is a big deal when not that many are drafted, but it is a nice list to look at the names.
  9. Source - Pac-12 media rights deal expected in 'near future' - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM The Pac-12 will not announce a new media rights deal Friday, a source told ESPN, but the conference's patience "is about to pay off" in the "near future."
  10. I'm torn between "letting it go" to holding one of the exhibition games there each year. Although I do like the idea of viewing parties there.
  11. I agree, as long as these are West Coast voters as opposed to Sleepy, Dopey and East Coast media.
  12. Oregon sees 11 players land in PFF's All-Pac-12 preseason teams 247SPORTS.COM On Monday, Pro Football Focus dropped their three All-Pac-12 preseason teams, with 11 Ducks making the cut.
  13. I'm going 11-1 with a healthy Bo, otherwise, all bets are off. 5 - 0 going into ewe dub will allow the O-line to gel and D to get on same page. I really need a ewe dub W so when the new streak hits 14 and we lead in the series I'll only be 87 and will be able to thoroughly enjoy my 90's!
  14. I was Ok with that . . . 1) It was $c 2) They flipped double birds at the ncaa with their attitude and I think that added to the penalties. 3) See No. 1
  15. Agreed, article is word vomit. Wilcox is closest, so that is the blind squirrel in the article.
  16. I think we dodged the same bullet with Peterson that we did with Wilcox last year. The guy was 2-2 against us when favored 3 times. His "big boy" bowl record was bad. Plus, he head hunter the ducks as a HC with I think Wilcox as a DC to boot.
  17. How slow . . . so slow it's Saturday in this hemisphere.
  18. Chip was also helped by an O system that D's didn't catch up during his tenure. So, he really coached them into his system. Too bad he stuck with running at Farley.
  19. 247Sports Media Days: Pac-12 preseason predictions 247SPORTS.COM Pac-12 predictions, order of finish, players of the year, coach of the year and game of the year for the 2023 college football season.
  20. Plus, it just proved Canzano's point about no one watching on the East coast.
  21. Well, at least they got the 80Mil right.
  22. Can you reserve the Matt? Asking for friendssssssssssssssss.
