That was NOT targeting...
He led with his hands and there was contact but that was not targeting.
Add to that he was pushed by a Stanford player into the QB..................

Nice seal off block from Jalen Redd to allow Brown to reach the corner of the end zone!
-
That was some expensive Ganja

So much potential wasted. Anybody know the rest of the story?

The more things change.............................the more they stay the same?
Thanks for bringing OBD Forum back Charles!
Have you all noticed the number of comments in the articles lately?

Our Ducks played 7 games in the last 16 days while winning the first six. Maybe their legs were tired?
It's possible they were overconfident after blowing out the Beav's this past Sunday in Corvallis?
-
For all intents and purposes they did "bow-out"

Ducks score 4 in the 2nd inning with Tanner Smith bringing home 3 on a bases clearing triple.
Yovan crushes a solo home run to right/center in the 5th.
Tanner Smith plates another runner in the 6th with a single up the middle, and Yovan brings another run home with a single to center.
Ahlstrom goes 7 innings with 10 strikeouts, Breault and Tellache each pitch an inning in relief to close out the win.
Go Ducks!

Matt Muehlebach who was doing sideline reporting for Pac12 Networks commented after the game that he thinks Oregon is a Sweet16 team, and that he could see them winning two more beyond that. That would take them to the Final4
-
With the exception of free throw shooting it was as you indicated a total domination by our Ducks.
59% on field goals
55.6% from beyond the arc
+3 on rebounds
+5 on assists
-4 on personal fouls
-2 on turnovers
+6 on points from turnovers
+5 on second chance points
+19 on bench points
+28 on points in the paint
+3 on blocked shots
+1 on steals
And Duarte had a quiet game
Altman was able to go deep into the bench and played 11 men

Nice Packers uni!...
That is actually the football uniform for Gordo High School in Alabama where Tanner Bailey is from.
Which came first? Gordo Green Wave(established 1898) or Green Bay Packers.

Wayne Tinkle credited Oregon for making some tough ones but also said his team didn’t follow the game plan laid out in practice. The objective was to make the Ducks find points elsewhere.
“We were supposed to get up in and make them put in on the floor and have high, high hands and we didn’t,” he said. “So then they hit a couple and after you kind of get your flow it turns into a hula hoop there. Just disappointed we didn’t respond enough early enough.”
Sorry "Tinks", that is on you.
Would anyone trade Altman for Tinkle? Anyone............Beuhler..............Beuhler................Beuhler?

They seriously get after it and give it 110% effort on every play, giving a whole different meaning to hustle. Unfortunately that can also lead to some major contact and play that is plagued by fouling.
And yet, many of the women playing basketball don't wear protective mouth guards.

I'm already on record here predicting one and done in the dance.
We are in agreement here!

Right now she isn't playing and won't be in the Big Dance, in all probability. I wouldn't be too quick to count her out.

If any of you watched the game tonight with UCLA and Arizona playing in the Pac12 Tournament Semi-Final that style of play is an abomination to the game of basketball. Hard physical contact that has no place in the game. If the officials(so called) had not swallowed their whistles both teams would probably have fouled out the entire roster.
Several teams in the Pac12 play this style of scrum basketball and I predict if they are selected to play in the dance that they won't get far as non Pac12 officials aren't going to allow that physical style of play.
It will be interesting how the championship game between Stanford and UCLA is officiated!

Also, if I understand the after game comments correctly, the players were the ones that wanted to crank up the defense and go man-to-man in their efforts to shut down the Bruins (which ended up winning the game for us!)
"The UO men generally play man defense after a missed shot and a trapping zone after a make. But Altman said his players convinced him to use more man in the second half Monday, and it paid off. We realized they were only attacking certain areas of the zone, UO senior Eugene Omoruyi said. We felt like (playing man) was more effective. And coach just let us do it."

Does Dana Altman own Sean Miller?
12 wins vs 6 losses
6 wins vs 1 loss in Eugene
5 wins vs 3 losses in Tucson
1 win vs 2 losses in the conference tournament
Dana's men have won 10 of the last 12 games with Arizona.
PWNED!

"So Ducks fans, do you think Altman is the greatest coach in Oregon Men’s Basketball history?"
Unquestionably YES!
And I went to the UofO during the Harter era.

That photo is significant 30Duck. Omoruyi was missing these little bunny shots right at the basket, and I am yelling at him to "throw it down big fella". He slammed them home in the 2nd half!

I think it's simple, you can't foresee the future, so you hire the best coach available whether from within or without.
DING, DING, DING! We have a winner.

I recall Pat Kilkenny flying around the country in his private jet and swinging for the fence and a "home run" hire to replace Ernie. People were following his travels by the tail number on his airplane.
It is remarkable that he actually hit an inside the park home run with getting Dana to come to Eugene!
Altman joked about the process. "You look at my wife, you look at me, I wasn't her first choice either," he said.

I must say that Franck plays the game like he enjoys it!
You can see the unabashed joy that Franck has even when he is on the bench rooting for his teammates!
One of the reasons why he is fast becoming one of my favorite Ducks!

Big Chris was one of my favorite Duck basketball players.
Big Franck is getting there!
