Dan Lanning is 'a rocket' taking Oregon to the top, says Ducks OL coach A'Lique Terry Dan Lanning is relentless, a coach with a singular focus on making Oregon as great as it can possibly be. It was also evident to first-year offensive line coach A’Lique Terry pretty early on. He also offered some pretty high praise for Lanning. “I say it all the time: he’s like a maniac, but in a great way,” Terry said. “He loves everything Oregon football. Anything possible to get us a national championship, that’s what his aim is. And if you’re not someone who’s along with that, you may think Coach is wild. Nah, Coach is locked in on one mission and one goal, and if you’re not locked in with that please step out of the way. “We’ve got one mission and one goal every single day, and he’s consistent with that. There’s no roller coaster in him. Coach is a rocket and we’re going to the top.” Dan Lanning is ‘a rocket’ taking Oregon to the top, says Ducks OL coach A’Lique Terry SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Dan Lanning has quickly impressed new Oregon offensive line coach A'Lique Terry with his determination to bring a... -

Oregon continues to value versatility in Year 2 under Dan Lanning For the first time this spring, media members were able to watch 11-on-11 periods during practice Thursday and though the team didn’t reveal much during that time, we did see a possible position change for Jamal Hill from safety to linebacker. Just from looking at him, his added muscle over the offseason might mean that he had a heads-up that a switch could be coming especially with the number of defensive backs Oregon added from the transfer portal. Someone else who understands position versatility well is senior defensive back Trikweze Bridges, who also talked to the media after practice about where he might be lined up this season. “Knowing the calls and knowing what to do, and being able to move around to show my versatility – just being able to go to corner and safety,” Bridges said. “I get an equal amount of reps at both corner and safety.” Oregon continues to value versatility in Year 2 under Dan Lanning OREGON.RIVALS.COM Versatility among all aspects of the team has been a key driving force for Oregon so far this spring. -
QUAAACK! 2024 DL Tionne Gray is a Duck

Class Impact: What Tionne Gray's Commitment Means for Oregon Football Just from a numbers standpoint, three commitments in less than a week is a big deal. I think Gray's commitment is more of a needle mover for the Ducks compared to Trent Ferguson. Dan Lanning going back to Missouri is a big plus in this recruiting win as the state continues to pump out solid talent year after year. Here in the 2024 class, Oregon is also recruiting defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri, the No. 1 DL in the country, as well as wide receiver Jeremiah McClelan. I've been pretty adamant that Oregon's defensive line play has not lived up to the standard the coaches have set and will need to continue improving if the program wants to reach some of its goals like returning to the playoff and winning the Pac-12. Adding someone like Gray helps you do that, as his 6-foot-6, 295-pound frame is not one you can find easily, particularly out West. Trikeweze Bridges continues to split time at cornerback and safety for second straight spring Around this time a year ago, newly minted head coach Dan Lanning and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi began working out cornerback Trikweze Bridges at safety. Bridges and fellow safety Bryan Addison often commanded the first team reps during Oregon's fastball periods. By fall camp, Bridges had moved back to cornerback and lined up opposite Christian Gonzalez. From there, Bridges played opposite of Gonzalez every game, registering over 700 snaps. Bridges recorded 49 tackles, eight passes defended, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. For the nerds out there, Bridges recorded a 76.4 defensive grade and a 78.8 coverage grade. Bridges allowed two touchdowns all season in coverage, zero in the final five games against the likes of Washington, Oregon State, North Carolina, and Utah. On Tuesday, despite the numbers and performances from last season, Bridges acknowledged he is still splitting reps between safety and corner. Ducks again make big jump in recruiting rankings after flurry of commitments It was only a few days ago that we dove into the updated 247Sports recruiting rankings to take a look at where the Oregon Ducks stood. The Ducks had just gotten a commitment from 4-star safety Aaron Flowers, the No. 109 player in the 2024 class and one of the higher-rated players to join the team this cycle. Since then, though, there has been some additional movement. On Wednesday, the Ducks added 3-star OT Trent Ferguson, a 6-foot-7 OL who is unproven with a lot of upside. That led us to Thursday, where Oregon was able to flip 4-star DL Tionne Gray from his commitment to the Missouri Tigers and land him with the Ducks instead. Of course, these two additions caused the Ducks to move up again in the rankings. Here’s a look at where they now sit nationally...
