Former 4-star Texas A&M EDGE with ties to Oregon, Dan Lanning enters transfer portal It was reported that Texas A&M EDGE rusher Elijah Jeudy, a redshirt freshman, was planning to enter the portal and find a new home after not seeing much of the field in College Station. Richardson's leadership and poise carry Oregon to gritty win over Villanova It wasn't always pretty, and it was certainly tough, but the Oregon Duck men's basketball team got off their three-game losing streak by beating Villanova Sunday afternoon in the Chiles Center in Portland 74-67. Senior point guard Will Richardson scored 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting despite consistent double-teams by the Wildcats while also adding eight assists and two rebounds, and he committed just three turnovers in 39 minutes of play. Senior forward Quincy Guerrier had a breakout performance after a slow start to the year scoring 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including six made 3-pointers. Ducks hopeful for the return of a few injured Ducks next week The Ducks secured a much-needed victory on Sunday against Villanova, and they did it without starting center N'Faly Dante, part-time starting forward Nate Bittle, and once again were without guards Jermaine Cousinard, Keeshawn Barthelemy and Brennan Rigsby. Report card: Oregon defense/special teams turn in another failing grade in Corvallis meltdown At one point Saturday afternoon, we were actually looking forward to writing up this report card. Oregon was up 31-10 in the third quarter and nearly every phase was playing well and on point. Then the meltdown occurred and a nice day in Corvallis turned ugly quickly and the Ducks suffered a 38-34 loss that will be difficult to forget.
