If I were projected to be a top-5 pick I'd 100% leave for the NFL. No question. Bo Nix was lucky to go to the Denver Broncos, but that was at pick #12- which is basically in the first third of the draft. Being #1-#5 gets you wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more money.
If Dante Moore stays and gets picked worse than #12, then that might be a bad sign for our season. We need to keep things stable and not lose more than one game in the regular season (ever, ha!). If the Ducks are 11-1 or 12-0 next season, then Dante Moore will be exactly where he will be come this draft: a projected top-5 pick. So, destined for the Raiders, Browns, Jets, Giants, etc.
I don't buy that he'll learn "so much" my finishing his senior season. If Herbert and Nix were projected to go in the top 3-5 after their junior years- they'd be gone as well.
I think Novosad might be OK. I hope we don't see that Brock Thomas walk-on guy- what on Earth was that all about? Was Novosad out for the season? I say we need to dip into the portal once again if there is talent there. Cincinatti's Brenden Sorsby would be a good get if he doesn't declare.

Jon Joseph may have to contest this ruling. Ironically, I can bring another attorney into the mix- one that isn't retired despite being 82 years-old.
My father's best friend from college and law school may be able to help. Paul Hancock was Chief of the Civil Litigation Division for the Florida Attorney General’s Office in 2000 (the AG was a Democrat), and argued on behalf of Al Gore in the Supreme Court, requesting that the manual recount be continued.
I think Hancock and Joseph could make a compelling case that a co-winner be declared, but may settle for a consolation prize in which they are "promised" an easy victory for the Ducks against the Huskies.

Fisch is 90% gone even before this afternoon's game. His wife moved to Arizona, Scottsdale I believe. The family doesn't like Seattle. They want a comfortable life in the sun, so UCLA makes sense. I'd be fairly surprised if Florida isn't able to get Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss. They'll just have to wait a while since Ole Miss is going to make the Playoffs.

But the Ducks were terrible for the longest time. My username gives my undergraduate degree date, but I think we've been pretty sharp lately. The school is not doing enough to make the stadium engaging. They need to make it a huge loss leader and more tickets to students.
I am their target audience, and yet I don't go to every game. It's not pumped up enough. Like I said- more tickets for students and low income rowdy fans.

We are obviously a blue blood football program now. We need to get fans to focus more on basketball so we can be top tier. Football is set, 100%.
If you were from the East Coast you wouldn't care at all about Portland or Seattle, let alone Eugene. This is as good as it gets for football. And when I say that I think we are rightfully the #1 or #2 team in the nation, and there is not much good reason we won't always be (good luck to us).
But basketball? We need to embrace one and dones, and locals in Eugene need to stop crying about going to a corporate arena setting instead of Mac Court.

I knew it, ha! I'm excited for the BB season! We need fans in Eugene to show up in order to get us to being a top program. Matt Knight Arena is actually in an excellent neighborhood and the arena itself is great. Eugenians have abandoned the team to a degree because they are too obsessed with Mac Court and the past. Move on!

Personally, I thought it was solid content. It provides an inside look at the prep for the game. Most fans do not have access to practice, or meetings. DL stated in meeting, we will outrush this team when showing last years stats…great content.
Standing in tunnel…Crowd…WE ARE…DL responds…we are about to get our butt kicked is what they are about to say…love DL.
Intro music could have been better, but no additional theatrics really needed. They showed the pure raw emotions from players, and coaches after a hard fought battle. That is the main reason football is such a great game to play, and watch.
You are right. I have been overly critical. Maybe they will put together some more footage for a post-season documentary if we win it all.

I strongly disagree. I think they should either put in a good product or no product at all. I expect shows, productions, and teams to improve each year. That Team Out West, narrated by Tyrell Burrell, was pretty solid, and I think our weekly editions should meet that standard. At the very least.
Like I said, it was just highlights. The target audience has already watched the highlights five times. There was little to no exclusive behind the scenes footage. I would not give any Emmys to this year's edition.

UW will not be ranked when we play them. I'm a main voter in the Reddit College Football Poll, and I certainly do not have Washington ranked. Or Notre Dame. I do have USC ranked at about 20th, though. The Oregon Ducks? I moved them to #1 for Week 5 after today's results. Penn State stays at #4.

I fail to see how FOX's statement was remotely "scathing". Google and YouTube TV said FOX is asking for much more than other carriers and FOX basically said...nothing? "We consider Google's offer to be unreasonable" is not a good argument and not scathing. FOX is acting like retail/fast food union members do when they go on strike and cry they are not getting what they want. Well, you'll get paid what the market rate is and you'll like it, that's what I say. FOX should not be asking for above market rate.

I don't think we should play at OSU anymore. It's not P4 school. If they want to play is it should be at Autzen. If it must be so, then don't go there more than once a decade. Certainly not home and homes.

Yeah, none of these Husky tweets made any sense. Congress merely made a rule that universities themselves can't contribute more than $20.5M per year. It basically has nothing to do with NIL. The only slight difference is that schools can only allow NIL through legitimate sources.
So, for the UO that is the Division Street Collective, which is 100% legit. Phil Knight/Nike/Division Street- all good. The only other catch is that the offers to players have to have "fair market" value. Since we are only really offering 5 and 4 star players- none of that matters. "Fair Market Value" has already been pretty much defined by now.
In other words, Oregon doesn't have to do anything different when it comes to NIL...but...the athletic department can give $20.5M more to share between the different sports if it wants to.

I really do not like the uniforms pre-late 90s. Like none of them except for maybe some from the 1890s or early 1900s or something. I think the uniforms at the National Championship in Glendale vs. Auburn was our peak. I prefer more black, more neon, or maybe forest green. If a uniform ensemble doesn't work with a carbon fiber helmet then it needs to go away. Definitely no pink or blue uniforms, that's for sure.

Five star recruit who signed with Duke. I sure hope this kid has high expectations from himself. I mean, I expect him to rise up. He's only 20, so still young. I thought Kel'el Ware didn't really deserve many, if any (I kid, I kid) minutes, and look at him now.

The tv announcer made a good point that she might have been getting away with this all season. That seems extremely likely. Her "move" is probably to get that push off after lifting her foot. Season leader in steals. The cat's out if the bag. Whoops.
I was a fierce competitor in all sports back in the long ago times, and I would pull any and every trick to get away with fouls or cheats. One time I got decked behind the net in a hockey game after I dumped the puck in the corner, and I literally took the puck I saw laying in front of me and plopped it over the net into the goalie's back...and the puck went into the net for a goal. I recall a stunned defender looking at me and saying, incredulously, "you're not allowed to do that!" I got up on my skates and just said "I know, that's why I did it."

USC vs. Notre Dame Looks to be Over and Out

The biggest issue and ridiculous problem is that ND automatically gets into the CFP if they only have 2 losses and are ranked in the top 12 starting next season. Seeing that they don't play anyone, they would be a bid stealer. For example, ND would not have been left out this year. The Committee ranked them 10th.
Why on Earth would USC help ND by improving their strength of schedule- which might be crucial to being in the top 12 with 2 losses? What if ND already had two losses and played USC, who is trying to be ranked in the top 10, and ND takes away SC's spot at that 10th spot? No thanks. ND can play nobody and hopefully not get ranked highly, especially if they lose one or two games.
