  1. Alright defense, let’s go!!!
  2. I was also surprised. Time for some Duck ball.
  3. Lol, yeah. Maybe the arsenic is real. On to better things. I can’t wait. Go you DUCKS!!!
  4. Good point, and actually no we haven’t punted so far I think. But it’s Kent St. and they have put 22 points on us. I realize this is kinda nitpicking and 1st world problems, but it may expose an element of truth. Hopefully, it lights a fire.
  5. I think we might have some arsenic in our system. Hopefully this clears things up!!!
  6. I agree sir, I’m not a Pac-12 alumni, but I can’t pull for the LA teams. As said before, Go Beaves, and GO DUCKS!!!
  7. What I really want to see is Oregon destroy USC in the PAC-12 Championship Game. But I still can’t pull for the Trojans. Go Beavs!!!
  8. Ducks 44-24 2 TO 3 sacks 317 yards
  9. I certainly appreciate your writing style Jester, well done. That being said, I think the Ducks have their feet under them now. IMHO this game will not be close. Ducks roll big time!!!
  10. I’d like to thank all my Duck friends for the great feedback on this thread. Once again, very interesting and enlightening. GO DUCKS!!!
  11. Yeah, Bama isn’t going anywhere as long as Saban is around. Honestly, right now I’m more concerned with KY than FL, bc we play KY in Lexington. Stoops has really done a great job with the Wildcats.
  12. Good point! It’s not gonna last forever. And you’re right, it goes with the territory. It’s just that I’ve watched the games looking for what we didn’t do right. Trust me when I say we aren’t as indestructible as it seems. Not yet anyway.
  13. Correction: I haphazardly said there are a few here that know CFB better than myself. I misspoke. There are many that contribute here that likely know college ball better than myself. Hence my asking this question.
  14. I apologize in advance that this is a question pertaining to my other favorite team. I’ll not make a habit of presenting such topics here on OBD forum. But while I’ve only been a member here for a short while, I’ve been here long enough to realize that there are many very knowledgeable CFB fans here, a few much more knowledgeable than myself it seems. So I ask for your indulgence and opinions of a question about my Bulldogs. You guys can be more objective I believe than others I might ask. To put it simply, how worried do you think we should be about all the rat poison? Of course you all know what I mean. The media and pundits are building GA up to be one of the the best teams ever ext, ext….. and so on. Don’t get me wrong, I love our guys getting the praise, and they are really good, but it’s a bit ridiculous this early. There is a reason Saban has always hated this and a reason Kirby hates it now. We got built up last year by the media and then promptly got our butts handed to us in the SECCG. My point is, this makes me nervous for my Dawgs. What is your opinion on Rat Poison DuckNation?
  15. It truly looks like Dillingham is and will continue to do a great job as OC at Oregon. I’m not saying he couldn’t be successful if he jumped to HC, but I believe he would benefit from sticking with Oregon for awhile, and if he continues to be successful, he can look for the right fit if he wants to be a head coach. He is very young, I’d hate to see his reputation get tarnished by taking the wrong job or not being ready.
  16. Yeah, I’m not big on Harsin. He may be a good coach but he doesn’t have a good track record for getting along with others. If I’m remembering correctly, towards the end of last season it looked like rats running from a house fire with all those leaving the Auburn program.
  17. Well, if you can handle 1 Cougar you can likely handle 2. Seriously though, great road test for the Ducks. I think Oregon dominates.
  18. I had not considered that. You certainly make a good point. 12 team playoff makes it more likely to see a Cinderella story. And yes it should absolutely make it a bit easier for west coast programs to hold on to those amazing west coast recruits. I will not attempt to name all, but through the BCS era and Playoff era there have certainly been a few teams that didn’t make the cut that I believed were more than worthy. So I’m for a 12 team playoff. At first I was against it bc it takes away the importance of regular season games, but that is just myself being a traditionalist. It will make for an outstanding post season. And give good teams that hit their peak late a chance. It should make for some great CFB.
  19. Speaking to your comment about CFB allowing a Cinderella story. I think it might be more than possible in the future. The way teams take advantage of the transfer portal it seems like it might be inevitable that we see a championship come out of nowhere at some point.
  20. Absolutely
  21. Yeah, there is no secret to GA’s success. It’s bc of great recruiting and great coaching. Having better players doesn’t guarantee anything, but it certainly helps. BYU has surely maximized their talent, but that can only take you so far. With all the changes taking place it’s hard to know what the future looks like for the PAC-12. But I honestly think Oregon is not necessarily in a bad situation. Especially if they build on what they are doing right now. It helps that Oregon is a national brand. It’s very possible that Oregon becomes the premier flagship program for the PAC-12, and having even one powerhouse program changes the dynamic for the conference.
  22. Agreed, the O-line play was great and it wasn’t really surprising. They more than held their own against GA.
  23. One thing I failed to mention was the offensive line play. Dominate play there
  24. I agree, I feel like Oregon’s coaches are really doing a fantastic job
