Trojan Tears are Wonderful
LOL. Maybe their fans will realize there are more problems in LA LA Land than the head football coach or conference…

Yahoo Sports Top 10, No Preseason Rankings Used
LOL. That’s a joke. We all know that Penn State is incapable of beating Ohio State or Michigan. Yahoo doesn’t take in the eyeball test into consideration. Texas and Ohio State look like the best teams to me, right now, but I also wouldn’t sleep on Georgia. I don’t know what to make of Alabama after yesterday’s game… P.S. - Husky fans will tell you that they should be #1 after they “revenged” their loss in the championship game last night (just don’t remind them that Harbaugh is back in the NFL and they don’t have the same teams)…

Laziest Reporting Ever
After watching Miami’s last two games, I would love for Miami to go undefeated and play Oregon in the college football playoffs (even if the game is in Miami)! Duck fans fondly remember the result of the last time an Oregon team played an undefeated ACC teams in the playoffs…

Is Tez Johnson THAT Good?
I agree. Tez is a terrific talent (thank you, Bo!) but DG has to find a way to spread the ball around a bit more (Tez has more receptions than the next two receivers combined). DG seems to be locking in on Tez too often and is consequently missing open receivers. Oregon has a lot of weapons on offense. We need to spread the ball around especially against the best teams like Ohio State. I’m also not a big fan of OC Will Steins’ reliance on short passes (dink and dunk). Ohio State is going to press with their NFL talent until Oregon proves that they can beat them down the field. We need more intermediate passes this weekend and to hit on a couple of the deep throws.

LOL. Someone was caught sending in their college football weekend recap article early, before the end of the game…

No Ducks Game, but A Lot of Good Games On Today
If you throw out the traditional brand names, Oregon has a tougher strength of schedule with a win against a potential playoff team. Luckily, most voters do not agree with you. Miami should have one or two losses, if the officials did not intervene. Miami certainly has no one on their schedule tougher than Oregon’s next opponent. That’s not even debatable.

No Ducks Game, but A Lot of Good Games On Today
College football needs to do away with conference officials. All college officials should be NCAA officials to reduce these potential biases. The NFC South does not have their own officials.

No Ducks Game, but A Lot of Good Games On Today
The ACC replay booth saw your post and laughed out loud. Never bet against ACC refs!

ESPN GameDay Coming to Oregon Next Week!
Now the question is - who will the guest picker be?!
-
So Do We Want Ohio St. Coming in Dominant?
It really doesn’t matter. Oregon will have to play a complete and clean game in all 3 phases to win the Ohio State game - something that the team hasn’t done this season, yet.

Good W. Bring on the Buckeyes.

That was a money throw and catch on the TD.

GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
Hopefully with the expanded playoffs and/or B1G and SEC alliance, we'll see a Georgia and Oregon matchup in Eugene. You Dawg fans would be welcomed with open arms!

GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
The defense is playing how Coach Lanning and Coach Lupoi envisioned - wrecking havoc on the line, flying around, making tackles and playing tight coverage on the backend. What a difference from when Coach Lanning took over the program. Might be the strength of the team right now.

GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
Have you been to a game at Autzen?
-
GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
On the positive, our offensive line looks fantastic and James is having his best game in an Oregon uniform. Keep it going. Not a single pass on the last TD drive.

GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
DG is not making good decisions in the redzone, which is surprising for someone with as much experience as he has. Trying to force it too much. Need to run the ball!
-
GameDay Thread vs Michigan State!
How was that not unnecessary roughness/roughing the passer? DG got lit up after he released the ball. Hope DG is okay.

"Not So Fast", Cal. GameDay is Coming for the First Time Ever. But Not Really.
Corso will be ready to don the Duck head next weekend in Eugene with his pal The Duck!!!

Recruits Visiting Tonight for Michigan State Game
Some big time names visiting Eugene tonight. Hopefully the Autzen faithful can showcase how special gameday is in Eugene and our team gets the W.

The Answers I’m Watching for With the 2024 Ducks
Another great article! With all of the transfers and injuries to key starters, it makes sense that the team hasn't gelled yet. Oregon has shown flashes of what they are capable of becoming. Time will tell if they can live up to their potential. I'm thankful for the easy schedule to start off the season to give the team time to work out the kinks and find themselves. I'm anxious to see how Oregon's offensive line holds up against better competition. Michigan State's defensive front should be a good test tonight and then we have some monsters coming into Autzen next Saturday.

An Alliance Between the Big Ten and SEC?
A lot of us share your frustration. College football used to be about the traditions, rivalries and pageantry...now the focus is on money and crowning a true champion. Any given year, a non-blue blood program, like Oregon, could beat the blue bloods, win a conference championship, play in a major bowl game on New Years Day (e.g., Rose Bowl) and eventually could potentially rise to become one of the top programs in college football. Now that does not seem like it'll be possible unless you are invited to the SEC or B1G, as the financial and talent gap will only continue to grow. I am thankful that the University of Oregon and its boosters invested in football a couple of decades ago based on the success of Coach Brooks and Coach Bellotti's teams; otherwise, we would most likely be alongside Oregon State and Washington State right now trying to rebuild a conference...

Are Oregon Transfers Forever Ducks?
I like your criteria and can't fault a player who contributes to the team/program (even on the practice squad), while in Eugene, but realizes that they won't play meaningful minutes and transfers to a program where they believe that they will have more playing time. Most people who have played competitive sports, want to see their field, pitch, court, etc. - they are competitors. I'm still a bit torn by Travis Dye. He was playing and contributing but decided to transfer to an in-conference rival who competed against Oregon for the conference championship his senior year.
