  7. RUMOR: Oregon is emerging big-time for four-star WR Aaron Butler. 6'0" | 170 LBS | ATH | 2024 CALABASAS CALABASAS, C BUYING IT. There was a time a few months ago that it looked like it was only a matter of time until Georgia landed Butler’s commitment and I was even making preparations for that inevitability. It no longer feels that way. Maybe Georgia slowed down a tad on the four-star receiver from Calabasas, Calif., because the Bulldogs already have commitments from Ny Carr and NiTareon Tuggle with many other targets out there. But it’s also because Oregon has dramatically stepped it up with him. Butler had a phenomenal trip to Eugene over the weekend and now the Ducks probably have the slight edge for Butler, who impressed at the recent Under Armour Los Angeles Camp. 1 Tuesdays with Gorney: Buying and selling recruiting rumors OREGON.RIVALS.COM Are Nebraska and USC still in it for five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, who is ranked No. 1 in the 2024 Rivals250?

  12. Thrown into the deep end, freshman TE Kenyon Sadiq is making up ground quickly For those of us of a slightly older, uh hem, generation, the thought of finishing high school early in order to join the college football team is still quite strange. What was a phenomenon is now the norm and tight end Kenyon Sadiq is one of those freshmen looking to make an impact and play right away for the Ducks. According to tight ends coach Drew Mehringer, the learning curve from high school to college is still the biggest obstacle incoming freshmen have to face. Tight end Kenyon Sadiq more than just the new kid on the block DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM With the injury to Terrance Ferguson, freshman Kenyon Sadiq will get a bigger look in spring camp and he’s ready for the challenge.

  15. Updated list of linebackers for Oregon to consider in the transfer portal Even before linebacker Keith Brown announced over the weekend that he would be entering the transfer portal and leaving the Oregon Ducks, linebacker was a position of relative need for Dan Lanning’s defense. While you have a lot of talented players, there isn’t an exorbitant amount of depth. With guys like Jeffrey Bassa, Jestin Jacobs, and now — without Brown — Jamal Hill leading the way, and unproven players like Devon Jackson, Harrison Taggart, and Elijah Williams behind them, it’s easy to see that the Ducks could stand to add a player or two to the LB room. That was the case before Brown entered the portal, and it’s been turned into a more dire need since the roster move. Fortunately for Oregon, there are a number of really solid options available in the transfer portal. While more players will continue to enter the portal and eventually come off of the board, the Ducks will likely reach out to a handful of guys who they think can improve their roster instantly. Here are some players that I think the Ducks might try and target. Oregon Recruiting: Linebackers for Ducks to look at in transfer portal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM With Keith Brown gone, the Ducks could stand to add another LB to the mix. Fortunately, there are some great options in the transfer portal.
  16. 2026 TE Brock Harris details Oregon trip Brock Harris has had a terrific off-season in the passing league and camp circuit, looking like one of the better pass-catchers out West in the 2026 class and igniting the start of a fruitful recruitment. 17. One of the best pieces of news that Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks could hope to see finally came out on Monday morning. Serra defensive back Dakoda Fields spent three days in Oregon last week and the Ducks have some momentum in his recruitment. 19. Ducks land in top-5 for WR Gatlin Bair, No. 1 rated player in Idaho The Oregon Ducks landed the top-ranked player from Idaho during the 2023 class with ATH Kenyon Sadiq, one of the 100 best players in the nation. It appears that they are going back to the well, and recent news shows that they are in a good spot to get Idaho’s best once again in the 2024 class. On Sunday night, 4-star WR Gatlin Bair revealed his top five schools, keeping the Ducks in the mix along with a handful of others. Bair is rated as the No. 1 played in Idaho, as well as the No. 40 overall player in the nation, and the No. 9 WR in the 2024 class. Bair took a visit to Eugene earlier this year, and will likely find his way out to Oregon again this summer before making his ultimate decision. 20. Early transfer portal options for the Ducks to consider at TE position At this point in the offseason, we can feel confident that the Oregon Ducks are going to add a player or two at the tight end position via the transfer portal. Going into spring ball, the Ducks had just three scholarship players in the TE room, and the top player on the depth chart — Terrance Ferguson — was just declared out for the rest of the spring season with an injury. So what started as a position of need has now turned into a near-emergency situation for Dan Lanning and his staff. On Saturday when talking to TE coach Drew Mehringer, he all-but confirmed that the team would look to the transfer portal to find a player or two that can contribute at the position. “Obviously, we’re going to have to figure something out with that,” Mehringer said. “I’ve been talking with Lanning and Will [Stein] and have a really good plan going forward for that, but we’d like to get somebody else in who can help us, if you know what I mean.” As more tight ends become available in the portal, we will keep an eye out and add them to the list. Here are some names to know at the moment. Oregon Football: Tight ends in transfer portal for Ducks to consider DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks need to add at least one TE via the transfer portal. There aren’t a ton of great options available, but here are some guys Oregon could look at.

  22. Ducks extend offer to Wyoming transfer OL Emmanuel Pregnon The offensive line is not a major position of need for the Oregon Ducks this off-season. After four starters from the 2022 season graduated, Dan Lanning and the team brought in both Ajani Cornelius and Junior Angilau from the transfer portal, and they boast an incredibly talented group of players at that position. However, that did not stop the team from offering a scholarship to former Wyoming Cowboys OL Emmanuel Pregnon, who recently entered the transfer portal. Oregon Recruiting: Ducks offer Wyoming transfer OL Emmanuel Pregnon DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks are one of over a dozen teams to extend an offer to former Wyoming OL Emmanuel Pregnon, who entered the portal on Saturday.
