I met Cas, at a Duck Booster meeting. He was quite old at the time. Still he turned out to raise funds for the Ducks. I conversed with him for a short time. He seemed to be a fine man!

Jacob Young, and D’vion Harmon continue to show that they are better suited as point guards than Richardson. Richardson is better as off-guard. Young and Harmon might both be more talented than Richardson. Young might be more likely for pro potential…….

Cristobal as Coach = stuck in neutral. I’m glad we’ve moved on from him.

What a Disaster of a game!

BUT……..I’m glad the stagnation of the Mario Cristobal era is……OVER!

AB can pass. Just not accurately. He has a strong arm. Even Herbert’s “overthrown-itis” becomes catchable balls with NFL receivers. QB’s gotta throw ‘em where only the receiver can get ‘em. Still. I gotta admit……the next time AB doesn’t overthrow a long bomb will be (almost) the first time.

I wholeheartedly agree. Mostly, it’s the opt outs, and transfers that mute my enthusiasm……as, it’s not the same team playing! It’s more like a second string team. No enthusiasm by our best players, so why should we be enthused? Would they opt out of a playoff game? Don’t think so! I’ll still watch, though…..of course. Gonna root for the players that showed up! Lotsa teams would love to trade with us!

If you don’t have an adequate QB, it’s only natural to desire a better one. I don’t get this whole line of questioning. A QB is supposed to have certain skills. If he doesn’t, you should look for a replacement. End of story.

Judging from all the comments here……….appears to me Altman has lost fan interest in this year’s team. That’s a shame……..but, when you are forced to roll the dice almost every year, because of graduation and early transfers, you’re bound to “crap out” at some point. The remarkable thing is how he’s avoided it for so long! I don’t mean to be mean, but, it appears that his plan for this year was for Richardson to be the “Rock” to lead this team. Problem is: That’s not Richardson’s plan. He tries, that’s apparent, but………..it’s just not part of his game. No fault to him. He’s just “one of the oars, not the main sail”. And…..an oar can’t be a sail…..

I don’t understand how Cristobal can be so successful at recruiting: 1) He can’t coach 2) He’s shown he’ll split at the first pretty girl that waves at him I’d only sign with him if no other major program didn’t offer me. Lucky for me, I won’t have that problem….as no school’s ever gonna offer me!

Yes…….not to beat this topic to death……..and, each time it’s been very valuable. I get your very credible point, but………there is so much that can be learned from the Greats, I.e. someone who’s “done it”. If they can’t tell you…….which I did not find to be the case……it’s on you to get it out of them. Even from you……you have great insight, and a good facility for explaining it…..we all benefit.
