MicroBurst61 No. 9 Share Posted Thursday at 03:44 PM A little closer in the fourth quarter than it should have been. Credit to Auburn for keeping themselves in it and not wasting time during each possession. It appeared to me that Graves had his players focus hard, on the inside/in the paint game. Probably because of Ms. Kyei's return to the lineup and seemingly wanted to focus the offense last night, through her. And from what I saw and the success she had down low, I can see why. Still early in the season but this WBB team seems different from the past few years and has a bit of grit about them. Here's Hoping. Go Lady Hoopsters!
EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 10 Share Posted Thursday at 05:20 PM Graves said it, "Tough, gritty wins are hard to come by". Last year's team lacked tough and gritty character and had no chance to pull out a victory like this. The combination of good floor leadership from Peyton Scott, Deja Kelly and Sofia Bell, dominant post play from a healthy Philly Kyei and a deep bench makes these Ducks a potential tournament team. Now if the injury bug stays away...

The last time WBB started 6-0 was 2015-16, (11-0). This team does look a lot different than the last years have. It's still early in the season, but they're playing already like an experienced team. spartan2785 No. 12 Share Posted Thursday at 05:57 PM One thing to be excited about is that the best player Deja Kelly didn't even have a good shooting night, she's been a bit cold recently, she's doing a great job though providing and getting rebounds. Seems like a team that cares, a lot of players from recent years don't seem to have that dog in them, they would crumple up under any sort of pressure. I'll admit I really did not like a lot of the players from recent years, luckily all of them are gone now.
