Ā The West Texas heat is no joke. And Oregon is about to face it head-on starting Saturday, as the heat and 60k of their closest enemies bear down on them starting at 4 p.m. PST. Ā Lubbock, Texas, located about 70 miles from the New Mexico border, is about as far West as you can get in the state. The temperatures for this week have ranged between 97 fricken to 104 fricken. In other words, it's been hot. Really hot. Ā But, for Oregon, they catch a break. The game does not begin at high noon but rather in the late afternoon, when the temperatures will drop down into the 90s. Refreshing.
