David Marsh No. 2 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Both teams gave up big time. Both of them effectively removed a coordinator. USC fired Grinch and Colorado at least demoted their OC, even though their issues had nothing to do with scheme or play calling but they just didn't have the bodies. It's funny how similar those two teams are. 1

HappyToBeADuck No. 4 Share Posted November 24, 2023 Charles, both usc and colorado had such high expectations for the 2023 season. The media crowned usc (along with their fan base) National Champs! The media had such high hopes for the Buffs, too! Things started very well for both teams until the Buffs took the field against the Ducks and the trojans played the domers. No amount of hype, flash or betting lines will win a football game. It takes a program and process that builds a sustainable winning culture. At this point, neither school has it. It takes time, recruiting and player development with a sustained coaching staff. Look at what's happening at Arizona and Oregon State. Coach Sanders will build a program with substance, if he sticks around. Riley maybe not. Sure is fun having Riley and the trojan faithful suffer. Happy Thanksgiving OBDF.....
GatOrlando No. 5 Share Posted November 24, 2023 USC took over forty transfers the last two years. It's a different era, but you need guys at the core that signed up from jump street to help build a program. Transfers are supposed to supplement your losses. They built their hopes of a better defense mostly on transfers. Failing to realize it was an internal issue. Lincoln Riley needs to do what Ryan Day did. Go get the guy from Iowa, Parker. Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 7 Share Posted November 24, 2023 Lincoln Riley strikes me the same as Mark Helfrich; GREAT offensive coordinator, and great QB coach. Not head coach material... 1 Mr. FishDuck

The problem is that there is always someone there to see it... just not USC fans. They all left after the end of the first quarter to avoid that LA traffic... regardless of what the score was.
