Posted March 22, 20241 yr Administrator Unbelievable. Buffs Beat Florida 102-100! Yale beats Auburn 78-76 Madness? Or OVERRATED? Mr. FishDuck
March 22, 20241 yr And now Auburn goes down to Yale, SEC no doubt overrated. Edited March 22, 20241 yr by JabbaNoBargain
March 22, 20241 yr SEC the most overrated conference in men's basketball. I bet ESPN doesn't mention it.
March 22, 20241 yr Colorado won by 2, after shooting 63% (60% from 3), and hit 84% FT... That's nuts! Florida never quit. They were down by as much as 11 with 5 minutes to go. Edited March 22, 20241 yr by woundedknees
March 22, 20241 yr Moderator Boo-La Boo-La Boo-La Boo-La! And 14-seed Yale takes down 3-seed Auburn for the SEC's 2nd 14 over 3 loss. Nuck, Nuck, Nuck.
March 22, 20241 yr Yeah Lol, I tried to fight it but maybe you guys are right. Maybe the SEC is overrated in basketball. The FL loss to Colorado isn’t really a big deal, but Auburn shouldn’t have lost to Yale. Guess we will see how aTm, Bama, and TN finish up.
March 23, 20241 yr Author Administrator Only three SEC teams left out of eight in Texas A&M, Alabama and Tennessee...and we haven't started the second round yet? (I never said I was noble) Mr. FishDuck
March 23, 20241 yr I know we've only completed the first round so far, but I'm amazed that the PAC-12 is 5-0. Can't wait for the game tonight. GO DUCKS!
March 24, 20241 yr In all fairness, I thought that this was a major down year for SEC basketball. They (and the selection committee) have reached the point, (long enjoyed by the B1G) where they receive far more selections to the dance than they probably deserve. And too many of this year's selections were overseeded. Have your chuckles now:They are well deserved this year. But I guarantee that it won't take long for the SEC to rebound from the dismal showing of 2024.
March 24, 20241 yr Moderator Tennessee made it to the Sweet 16 over future conference member Texas. Bama and A+M also have a shot, especially Bama against Grand Canyon, of making the Sweet 16. Two teams from a conference in the Sweet 16 is nice. The SEC gets 3 teams to the Sweet 16 and no one will remember the early flame outs. Marquette and Creighton (sigh) are in the Sweet 16 and UConn is close to a lock to follow. If UConn defeats Northwestern, the Big East will be 3 for 3 in placing conference teams into the Sweet 16. 3 tourney seeds for the B1G East and 8 for the B12 and the SEC is just silly. It's not the fault of the B12 and the SEC, it's the fault of the CBB Committee.
