June 26, 20241 yr Rooted in Substance shows a very symbiotic relationship, that for me begs two questions… Would Oregon have done as well without Nike? Would Nike have done as well without Oregon? I think the answer to both questions is ‘no.’ They have truly used each other to attain success.

I think using Oregon as a testing ground certainly helped Nike to obtain NFL rights in 2012. Nike went all in and spent big $$$ to oust Reebok.
