Holy Crap! Let's Sort Out Oregon's Recruiting at This Juncture...

Recommended Posts

According to Rivals, Our Beloved Ducks have 14 verbals...and it is not even July 1st yet!  Of them, we have 12 that are 4/5-Stars with only two that are 3-Stars. That is an incredible ratio, and frankly I would not want to quit recruiting "projects" because of how well it has worked out for Oregon in the past.

The Two 3-Star Players:

Matthew Johnson, DE, 6'5" 250

Offers from Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, USC and Washington(Ha!)

Demetri Manning, 6'7" 330 and from Bellevue, Washington

Offers from Arkansas, Miami, Florida St, Florida, USC, and Washington!

Our coaches saw upside, and so did some other good coaches!

Oregon's recruiting class is currently ranked 7th in the nation, but it is very fluid.

What is impressive is the average ranked recruit at 3.93!

Manning isn't going to stay a 3 star.

That size is going to get him a 4th star with just a season's worth of development.

What's interesting, Ohio St sits at No.1 with a rating of 93.70 with 20 recruits.   0regon has 14 recruits with a rating of 93.69.  Wow!  Can Oregon reach to be No.1 in recruiting, 2025 when all said and done?  A lot has to line up to happen, but No. 2/3? Good listen.

I doubt Oregon gets to no. 1 because this class won't be that big.

On3's metric doesn't care about numbers. Other recruiting services care more about numbers.

So depending on the service will depend if Oregon has a chance.

As Oregon prepares to make its move to the Big Ten, its obvious recruiting prowess should be alarming to all of its new conference rivals.”

Rivals indicates that there are a number of blue-chip players with a lot of interest in OBD.

Keisean Henderson will only consider schools that vow to keep him at quarterback.

I have a feeling Penn State is going to be the program most affected by Oregon's recruiting prowess. James Franklin has lived off top 15 classes, only one conference title. His claim is that they are third best in one of the Big Two leagues. Third wheel in recruiting, and being a rival to Ohio State/Michigan.

What happens when they become fifth/sixth wheel?
