PAC-12 Commish Asks, “Why is That Even a Question?”

Recommended Posts

From Jon Canzano's column re Pacless Media day

The Pac-12 is an easy target for jokes. There are only two schools left. They’ve been squeezed out of the ‘Power 4’ by no fault of their own. Gould’s strongest remarks came when she pointed out that Oregon State and Washington State had never in their history competed at anything but the highest levels of college athletics and still belong there.

“Why is that even a question?” she said.

BECAUSE THE EMPEROR HAS NEW CLOTHES, LADY!!!

It is actually a spin on her part. Nobody has questioned that they cannot compete in the past, but this is all about eyes on the program and on television. Their brand and their audience was found wanting by every power conference.

The question she will not address is, “why are these two schools blaming everyone else for their predicament? “

We're not dead! We are the undead zombie conference.

SPORTS.YAHOO.COM

The beleaguered Pac-12 Conference had a message to deliver this week in Las Vegas: It's still alive and fighting, even with only two schools left.

The Pig 2 Zombie Conference will continue to fight until the money they 'stole' runs out.

Say it again, one Rose win in over 100 years between the PIG2, and that was 80 years ago in Durham, NC.

They have never competed.

Dear Ms. Gould, isn't the Mt. West conference div 1?

Your 2 schools will continue to compete at the D1 level,

Only as a G5 member.

Right where they belong.

Imagine the SEC losing everybody except Vanderbilt and South Carolina.  South Carolina at least has one SEC East Title.

Now imagine the Big Ten with just Northwestern and Indiana. Northwestern has a couple Big Ten West Titles, and a 1995 Rose Bowl appearance.

Washington State has a 1997 Rose Bowl appearance. Oregon State has a 2002 Fiesta Bowl win. I wonder how big that banner is in their renovated home(subsidized off PAC 12 money)?
