LOL - Just the right amount of time to welcome him back should he have an unsuccessful second tenure in the NFL.

Oregon had to serve the time for 'doing the crime?' No other schools were using 'runners' to help with recruiting, right? Cam wasn't paid to play and taking phantom courses at UNC was All Good because 'Regular Students' and not just Student Athletes, cheated.

The NCAA cannot cancel out Jimmy and his alma mammy's title, so: Go to Your room Jimmy, without supper!

'Sorry, Judge, I'm already in my room and busy counting all my money. I do not plan to return to CFB and coach Liberty or one of the Pac-2. But, I Am So Ashamed. 😁

Proverbial mammary glands on a Bull. 134 P4 and G5 football teams need to say: NCAA, GOODBYE!

I sometimes wonder whether people who complain about the NCAA ever consider what it is and how it came to be what is.  Well, folks, sorry to knock over your straw man, but the NCAA is us, and we made it what it is.  Only we, the universities and colleges that make up the membership can make it into something else.

I disagree.  I think the NCAA has become a dinosaur in the age of mammals.  The comet that hit the Gulf of Mexico are the unshackled athletes who became students of the gamesmanship that was being played on them and have gone from prey to apex predators with the help of the courts.

Hats off to Curt Flood who is the genesis of athletes' power over owners because the universities and colleges were the owners.

So, I was and am a spectator of life that is happening around me and take no ownership of what I had no control of.  Much like the demise of the Pac 12, I may not have liked it, but I accept the evolution of sports until such time as I turn off the TV and curl up to a good book.

I'm not sure what you are getting at. None of us were even born born when this stupid trust/monopoly was set up in jest of the Sherman act over 100 years ago overriding it's initial reason for society's original request for its existence, which was to prevent football players from dying as had been occurring too frequently.

Most of us have also never worked for colleges universities or voted on any laws that would impact the NCAA or university alignment with it.

Merely watching games does not presume our agreement with how the funds are distributed.

Saying the NCAA was necessary for a level playing field is very different than agreeing individuals cannot be compensated for their efforts.

I've always struggled internally with the status quo mores handed down from one generation to the next that amateurism has value beyond those that enjoy exploiting it for monetary gain.

My indignation towards the NCAA violating the Sherman Act for more than a century without being called to account is righteous. No straw man required.
