Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted September 19 This article is also in another thread, but I wanted to call attention to it; look who leads in offensive and defensive categories! On offense, the second-best rated player besides the crazy stuff that Dillon Gabriel is doing is....Nishad Strother after three games? This is the guy the coaching staff did NOT want to play...to the point of moving Poncho to guard and starting a walk-on at center vs. Idaho? Then, in all the preseason stuff about Oregon linebackers--Bryce Boettcher was an afterthought compared to the projected starters. But look at HIS rating! It goes to show how hard this is with knowing who-to-play, and that is even for the coaches who see them every day in practice. But I am glad our coaches are flexible to let the talent emerge! Oregon Ducks highest-graded players after three games, per PFF DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM These Ducks are leading the way on offense and defense through three games. 2 1 Mr. FishDuck
Drake Moderator No. 2 Share Posted September 19 Boettcher is a great story. There are always guys who practice well, but for whatever reason their play does not elevate on game day. Reacting to what you see is such a big part of the game. Finding the guys who react quickly, and are mostly correct, is not an exact science.
DuckFan93 No. 3 Share Posted September 19 What about Evan Stewart? I think he will be a break-out star receiver for us this year. 1 1
30Duck No. 4 Share Posted September 20 The player on Auburn most responsible for their win over Oregon in the championship game wasn't Newton. It wasn't Michael "Dyer was down". It was Nick Fairley. Do the Ducks have their Nick Fairley in Derrick Harmon? Harmon is the prototypical SEC player and now he's playing at Oregon.

Anthony Newman was raving about Harmon during this week’s episode of Talkin’ Ducks. Said he has an explosive first step and is beating double teams.
