Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted September 20 This was in the 2025 Recruiting thread, and God-Bless NJDuck, Smith72, Steven A., and Jon Joseph for posting these articles and being the best Duck News Hunters on behalf of all of us. This is one of the very rare instances where Rivals rates a player a 5-Star, when the others put him at 4-Star. To make matters more interesting...he is on the offensive line where we need the quality help! It has not happened yet, nor have we fought off the 'Vols response yet, but know that besides Oregon and Tennessee--that this young man was also offered by Washington, (Ha!) USC, Penn State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Miami and Ohio State. Whew! Something to watch, as this could be a big impact on a number of levels! jrw Moderator No. 3 Share Posted September 21 Then watch the pure, clean, parsimonious, never-NIL-paying Tennessee fans react with outrage that Uncle Phil has bought another recruit.
kirklandduck Moderator No. 4 Share Posted September 21 I hope this happens. OL recruiting has been a bit too quiet lately. This would make some serious noise. I wouldn't mind DL and Terry recruiting a center as well.
cartm25 No. 5 Share Posted September 21 Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium has about 102K capacity and I heard they just added a surcharge to every ticket. Quite an NIL advantage to have that big a stadium like that.

Oregon Trending for Four-Star Offensive Lineman Some big news on Friday afternoon as a pair of Oregon predictions have come in for a big-time offensive lineman. Both Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have logged 60% predictions for the Ducks to flip Tennessee offensive line commit Douglas Utu. The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder committed to Tennessee over Oregon, Miami and others on June 24. Utu currently is the No. 57 ranked player nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 4 interior ranked offensive lineman nationally. Oregon already has an offensive line commit from his teammate at Bishop Gorman (Nev.) in Alai Kalaniuvalu. The Ducks have three offensive line commits in the 2025 class currently. Also making news recently at the position was Oregon’s recent offer to in-state offensive lineman Zac Staskausky. The Central Catholic (Ore.) product is currently committed to Washington. The Ducks could be building one of the better offensive line classes in the country if they can manage these two flips along with keeping its current commits. Music to my ears. We've seen how important the offensive line and depth is this season through 3 games. It's one of the positions you really have to recruit and develop high school talent, only occasionally plugging a hole with a transfer. Glad to see the coaches prioritizing the position this recruiting cycle.
