Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted Sunday at 07:13 PM Some of us have lusted for this play for a long time, especially with the way Stanford used to abuse us with that play. Kyler Kasper is 6'6" and perfect for a high throw in the end zone, and this time he got former Duck, Jaylin Davies, fourth interference penalty in four games. I like that as an option, even when they know it is coming. Throw it high, catch it at the high point and the typical corner cannot stop it. 3 1 Mr. FishDuck
David Marsh No. 2 Share Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM First off... More of these. I want to see a line up of giants in the end zone. Put T-Ferg (I know injured here but for the future), Herbert, Sadiq, and Kasper in the line up. Throw the ball into fade routes and get some touchdowns! I feel that this particular play we saw was purely to draw a PI. The ball was in truth a little lower than it would ideally be placed. The timing was alright but it didn't feel like Easter was entirely set in the route. But if it was designed to draw the PI it absolutely worked.
OregonDucks No. 3 Share Posted Sunday at 09:54 PM My favorite play was the fake speed option, where DG backed up and hit Tez downfield. You know that UCLA saw and worked on that play from the Oregon State game. It was great to see Will Stein set up a defense and I hope that he is saving a fake WR bubble screen for Ohio State.

Loved that play design. Sucked everything in the went right over the top.
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 5 Share Posted Sunday at 11:22 PM It just occurred to me, that it is two straight games that Kasper has had a pass interference on him. Against Beavis, the corner hung onto an arm to prevent the long completion and this may answer why he is playing before other receivers? 1 Mr. FishDuck

The NFL, specifically, the Eagles, have fallen in love with the "Tush Push" where Hurtz lines up under center and just plows through the line. It has been stopped though. This Fade Pass is practically guaranteed to at least get a PI, and more often a touchdown.
