FishDuck Article Administrator No. 1 Share Posted October 1 The Georgia-Alabama game got me thinking that perhaps the SEC has finally been completely “Pac-12’d.” Long gone are the days of SEC teams simply playing great defense paired with a conservative, run-heavy, ball-control offense where they could just bully opponents in the trenches and win a national title. For decades, a lack of dominant linemen out west has always pushed ... Jon Joseph Moderator No. 2 Share Posted October 1 Thanks, Darren. Yes, Saint Nick Saban goes from whining about Chip's HUNH to hiring Lane Kiffin and poaching ace QBs from the Islands and California. Bama/UGA. The Tide Rolled In, The Tide Rolled Out, and a too young to imbibe 17-year-old prevented Tuscaloosa from Passing (sorry) Out.
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 3 Share Posted October 1 Amen Duck-Brother....Oregon is not peaking on offense yet, but we had the full game of UCLA and the last half of Civil War that showed us superb defense. Can they keep it up? Can the offense continue to improve? Fun to watch for! 1 Mr. FishDuck

Steven A Moderator No. 6 Share Posted October 1 Darren, "the 2024 Oregon Ducks are definitely not peaking too early." Not sure any truer words ever spoken. A week from now would be a good time to start that peak.
30Duck No. 7 Share Posted October 1 Who'd have thunk? Oregon fans desperately waiting for the offense to catch up the dominating defense. Saban did catch on and adapt. Coack, over at Duke was resistant to the One & Done players until he saw the light. Dabo, at Clemson, is tied with Army & Navy for least players coming via the Portal (still better than Miami though). It's still the case though, the teams with the best Big Uglies, that control the LOS, win the championships. Nick Fairly deserves more venom than Michael "Dyer Was Down" does.
