Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted October 6 If you can believe it....below is what he wrote... ------------------------------------------------------------------- "I won’t stop saying it — there was nothing wrong with the Pac-12’s football product. It makes the conference’s inability to get a media rights deal done even more tragic and absurd." ------------------------------------------------------------------- John...this was Oregon State (49-14) and Colorado State (2-3) we're talking about. No amount of blustering is going to put them on-par with B1G or SEC football. Such comments from you make me torn as to whether to describe them as pathetic, or laughable. Nobody believes it, not even Beavis fans...as they know. 2 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
QuackyQuack No. 2 Share Posted October 6 I don’t see a link to the actual article but your quote sounds like he is talking about the demise of the PAC with everyone leaving and not the current two teams.

It is a subscriber article, hence no link. He is referring to the new Pac-12, (the Scrap-12) how it deserves a great media contract.... 1 Mr. FishDuck
David Marsh No. 4 Share Posted October 6 I think in terms of an entertaining product there was nothing wrong with Pac-12 football. It was darn entertaining and had some of the most competitive games in the country. However... Was it competitive outside of the conference? Not so much outside of the top teams and even then not regularly competitive.
DanLduck No. 5 Share Posted October 6 This is why I don't pay to read his stuff. He likes his own opinions so much and never backs down. Too arrogant. Ever since he was so anti- Belotti, even going after his wife and son, I've not liked his sport coverage. When he writes about people or anything else, he can be amazing. If the product on the field was so amazing, why does OSU, Cal, Stan, Ucla, even USuC have such a hard time selling seats! If locals don't care, why would other markets?!?? 2
OregonDucks No. 6 Share Posted October 7 I wish Canzo would just cover Oregon State and Washington State and leave the University of Oregon to others. 1
JabbaNoBargain No. 7 Share Posted October 7 (edited) I mean sure, it is/was a relatively entertaining product, and someone will eventually pay for it. The key phrase I used is relatively. There is worth, it’s just not as much as they think. Scaleable history repeating itself. Edited October 7 by JabbaNoBargain

He was definitely referring to the "original" Pac-12 and not the "Scrap-12". He references Oregon, Washington, ASU, and Cal (not part of Scrap-12) before making his statement quoted.
