Nevada Dawg No. 4 Share Posted November 12 I certainly did not realize John Robinson was ever Duck. As for the notable USC football coaches, Robinson was the one I liked best although I sometimes chuckled at John Mckay's sarcastic wit that often got under opponents' skin (particularly Notre Dame).
woundedknees No. 5 Share Posted November 12 Victim of OBD'S lack of vision inputting the Jerry Frei led program in the 1970's. Frei's tree produced multiple generational football coaches who were OBD assistants first. Who knows what could have been, with the right investment and vision?

Haywarduck Moderator No. 7 Share Posted November 12 McKay, Madden, Robinson and even Seifert were part of a pretty amazing group of coaches, at that time, who came out of Oregon. Makes on wonder if we are seeing another group of coaches our younger Duck fans will ponder in the coming decades. Fortunately the truly great coach is our head coach this time! 1
